There isn't adequate signage to tell you where to go. Do I go into the bar? Downstairs? Or back outside and around back. This makes things a bit unwelcoming. However, the bar staff acted excited to see us to directed us to self seat. Our waitress was nice. She was friendly and hustled. She didn't know her menu very well and was confused at several of the menu items. She was engaging and did her best to make us feel comfortable. We started with the Ricotta Bites. The breading was very crisp and over fried. It was almost impossible to cut the small ball in half. The filling was very creamy and had a mild ricotta taste. Not much flavor beyond that. The marinara sauce really had to provide any spicy flavor. My wife really liked her flatbread. I had the Cod Bites and tots. The cod bites were also over fried and difficult to cut. The cod was fresh and tasty. It flaked apart once you broke through the crust. The tarter sauce wasn't very distinctive. It was mayo based with relish and some mild spices. The tarter sauce was just kind of there...it didn't do much for the fish. The tots were also over fried, very crispy and oily tasting. I ordered a side of Cole slaw because I love salads. The Cole slaw is mayo based. While the slaw was fresh and crispy. The mayo dominated the taste. The pepper was a good accent but couldn't do anything with the over powering mayo taste. I personally wouldn't recommend it. The Smoke on the Water cocktail was outstanding! The drink had a very strong Smokey taste. The tall pink drink is very attractive...especially with two raspberries on a stick. The beverage was refreshing and a bit spicy to taste. Overall..a very innovative drink!!

I had their 3 piece fish dinner with fries and my wife had their fish sandwich. The planks of fish were very flavorful without the over salty taste you get at other places. The breading sticks very well to the fish planks which is a plus in my opinion. Their tartar sauce is sweet but not overpowering. They give you fries, Cole slaw which is creamy and a roll with butter. My wife's fish sandwich was piled high with fish. Much more than she could eat. All in all WE SHALL RETURN but next time I will bring back a pound or two for later. We also liked the new seating area which is enclosed with really nice picnic tables and air conditioned.

My wife had their fish sandwich with fries I had their ALL YOU CAN EAT fish dinner with fries and salad bar. The salad bar was very limited so I made a small salad and left room for ALL YOU CAN EAT fish. We were the only couple there so they were very prompt at getting our order out. HOLY COW the fish is exactly as we remembered. Lightly breaded and seasoned perfectly. Large juicy planks of fish reminding us of the Jonas fish fry days of long ago but better. I was full after just the first plate full. My wife's fish sandwich was equally tasty and absolutely HUGE! We both loved the thin cut fries. All in all for all we got for $44 we didn't mind. Laker's Landing was formerly Laker's Food & Spirits. I no reference to the former owners…read more Laker's is a moderately small restaurant tucked behind several buildings on the Main Street. I didn't see any signage on the main road or on the street where you turn. There isn't any good signage that helps you definitely know that you have arrived at Laker's. Once you get there you will scramble to find a parking spot on a busy night. Again the signage for where it is okay to park is not good as well. Laker's is set right on the lake. The deck only sets three tables. The view is great. However you better make a reservation if you want to secure an outdoor seat. Once inside....the view of the lake isn't bad. There are lots of windows to share the view with those outside. The interior of the restaurant is broken up into three areas - east & west dinning and a bar. All areas have an attractive multi-colored wood walls. This is complimented by the wood floors and dark furniture. The interior is welcoming and comfortable. The bar is very attractive. The east dinning room is VERY LOUD for some reason. The west side was much quieter. The staff we encountered were very friendly. The hostess doubles as a bus person so we had to wait to find out what happens after you arrive - again "hostess will seat up" sign. I was surprised that half of the staff didn't wear shirts with the Laker's logo. Our waitress Katie was excellent. She knew her menu well and had several spot on recommendations. She was concerned about our dinning experience and advised us that a large party was coming so she wanted to make sure we got our orders in ahead of them. Katie was right on top of the refills as well. We ordered the jalapeño crab filled wontons to start. The jalapeño wonton was not hot or over spicy. The filling was creamery with a slight crab taste. The wontons were a bit crispy. Overall a nice appetizer but no rememberable flavors here. My side salad was very good. The salad was a nice size presented in a fashionable bowl. The Ingredients were very fresh. The right amount cheese mixed well with the homemade honey mustard dressing. The dressing had a slightly sweet flavor with a creamy smooth consistency. The taste mirrored a high quality store bought dressing. My wife had the Cobb salad. Again the salad was a nice size with plenty of fresh veggies and lettuce. The homemade raspberry vinaigrette dressing was outstanding. The dressing was slightly sweet with small pieces of raspberries in the sauce. Overall the salad was very good. For dinner I ordered the breasted chicken and Mac & Cheese. The Mac & cheese was a bit dry. You kind of expect a creamy oozing sauce on elbow noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The cheese was thin and stuck to the noodle with a darker color (looked like well baked on but not overly baked). The chicken was outstanding. The breading was thin and slightly crispy. It did hold a bit more grease flavor than you might like. However the breading was simply delicious! The chicken was extraordinarily moist. It could be easily cut with a fork. Overall Laker's Landing does a pretty good job with dinner. The cocktails, which we didn't have, looked very attractive and tempting. You will find the prices to be very fair and a moderately sized menu. Give them a try!

Too much dilution too fast and the flavor is gone before a quarter of the drink has been consumed. For my entree I had Parmesan crusted cod. The fish was cooked well and the flavor was spot on. Generic out of the box fries were okay. I liked the "tartar" sauce served on the side--tangy with a garlicky kick. Finally, we were a group of nine and they gladly and accurately provided separate checks for each couple and individual. All in all a positive experience.
