This was my first trip since they reopened. Not much has changed except the prices on the same menu. The place is clean. No remodeling was done during the shut down. The place was very busy on a Saturday night. We had to have reservations to get in. They were turning people away who did not make reservations. The staff was friendly. We didn't recognize many of the waitresses. Our waitress must have been new and inexperienced. She wasn't very friendly - just very mechanical in her serving processes. We had to request several things from her that should have been automatic from an experienced waitress. The bread was good. It was fresh and soft. It had a moderately sweet taste. Nice starter with smooth butter. My side salad was fresh as expected. Same salad dressing - good. The leaves were long and difficult to eat. Usually you don't have to cut lettuce. There were about two pieces of cucumber and tomato - not much accompanying vegetables. My breaded fish was good as usual as were the onion rings. My wife's tilapia was delicious as well. Give the reopened Adam's Lake Pub a try. It's pretty much the same as before if you had been here prior. read more

Love this place! Had reservations. They got us right in. Friendly staff. Lots of parking and seating. It's located in Wolcottville, IN. My 1st time having escargot and the didn't disappoint. The service and our meals were excellent. We started at the bar with peach martinis that were perfect. Our table was by a window so we could watch the boats coming in for the evening. Patio seating is available. Our waitress told us the specials and chatted with us. We shared delicious warm bread and Oyster Rockefeller's while we studied the menu. We decided to share the entrees, too. We ordered the special, Alaskan King Crab legs, and the Prime Rib. Tho we shared the sides we had plenty of food. For dessert we got to-go the Kentucky Bourbon Pecan pie--the taste was to die for--the best dessert ever. The restaurant was nice. People wore masks and were seated apart. The food portions are huge and taste good, but the water that was served at our table that evening smelled terrible. So much so my wife couldn't drink it. I smashed lemons in it and drank it, but woke up the next morning very sick like food poisoning. My wife and I shared the meal and the only thing she didn't have was the water. This was our first visit and was very pleased with our experience. We were greeted warmly by two ladies at the front door and was seated promptly, absolutely loved the fireplace and the all the Christmas decorations and the warm glow from the candle at the table. We ordered our drinks and received them from the bar promptly and our appetizer, we ordered Oysters on the half shell and they were very Fresh tasting and the were wonderful...definitely recommend! For dinner we ordered Crab Cakes and Beef Tips, the Crab Cakes are some of the best that I have had, the beef tips were outstanding, very large portion. A primarily summer treat, the new Adams Lake Pub is a LaGrange restaurant that is a treasure to which you can bring family and friends for lunch or dinner. Just one catch. Reservations are a must given I believe they are open just Thursday, Friday and Saturday. (Check with them to be sure!). A good meal on the patio with a good view of the lake goes well with the above average entrees they provide. A bit pricy but still within the margin for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries or a preMother's Day meal. read more

We visited Adams Lake Pub on Labor Day Weekend and were happy to snag the last outdoor table overlooking the lake. Our thoughts after our first visit were a mixture of some hits and some misses. First the hits: there really are few options for a nicer dinner out in this area, so to find something open on a Sunday evening was a big deal. The outdoor tables have a great view of the lake and seem quieter and more relaxed than the indoor seating. The Bloody Mary menu had several choices, were generous in size and came with a beautiful garnish that practically doubles as a salad. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious. The misses included the rest of the food that we ordered. The oysters on the half shell, and crab cake dinner, while not horrible, were certainly not the quality I would expect for the price point. We will probably visit again in he future to enjoy the deck, but stick to drinks and appetizers rather than ordering a meal. read more

Overall, I thought Adam's Lake Pub was just okay and could use multiple updates regarding its menu, pricing, and atmosphere. This is a place where kale is still a garnish, a place you visit with your parents/grandparents and hope they foot the bill (like mine did :) ). I ordered the black & bleu salmon and was not blown away. I typically order salmon medium-rare as most restaurants overcook it; it still managed to be overdone and a bit dry, camouflaged by the blackened spices and broiled blue cheese. I ordered the loaded potato soap and a side salad with my entrée, and again, nothing really stood out. I am not a vegetarian/vegan, but appreciate a restaurant that offers warm/hot entrée veggie options. Beyond ordering a dinner-size salad sans meat, there did not seem to be many vegetarian entrée options beyond ordering off the sides menu. I wondered how much of the food was prepared in-house with fresh ingredients and how much was Gordon's Food Service items spruced up; maybe I picked the wrong entrée? Many of the red meat selections were purported to be aged and certified Angus, so they may have been the better choice. The restaurant's location has a nice view, overlooking the water, but the inside is a little outdated (think early 90s) and could use an update. Service was friendly and I could see what looked like to be the owner making rounds with customers, which was a nice touch. The beer and cocktail list was full of sugary, frou-frou mixed drinks; it would also be nice to have it updated, to reflect changes in consumer tastes over the last two (2) decades (more bourbon, less-sweet, more craft beer). As others have mentioned, I thought the prices at Adam's Lake Pub were too high for the quality of food offered, and wondered if the scarcity of nicer restaurants in the area enabled them to charge more. If the prices were more reasonable and menu updated to reflect changing palates, I think Adam's Lake Pub would warrant the 4 stars rating. read more

In the past, this restaurant had always been a favorite for family and business get togethers. We normally even do our family Christmas party here so no one has to cook. The last few times my husband and I have visited, things have gone downhill as far as food quality. Staff has generally been very knowledgeable/professional and the restaurant is always clean. The most ridiculous part, and reason for the 1 star rating is based on the fact that they will not do carryout. We had called 2 weeks ago trying to just get a couple bowls of their Lobster bisque to go, as it has always been delicious. I had a cold/flu and didn't want to dine in due to COVID. If I went in they would've served me-but I couldn't send my healthy husband in to pick up 2 bowls of soup? You can take home leftovers, but cannot order and pick up 2 bowls of soup? Ridiculous. Hopefully, their lack of carryout service during the pandemic helps other local and more accommodating businesses. read more

I very HIGHLY recommend Adam's Lake Pub! The service was amazing! Everyone was very welcoming and kind. The bathrooms are very clean and nice. They also have a variety of feminine products in every stall! My daughter needed the Wi-Fi password and a waiter found a piece of paper and said, "Just make sure I get it back!" and was very kind! The overall vibe was just great! The decorations were definitely outstanding! The people waiting on us were very patient and kind about everything! I would like to specifically say (unsure how to spell his name!) that Layton was especially the nicest waiter I've ever had in a restaurant! He was overall a really nice guy. Now onto the food. The food was outstanding! We did have a wait but that is expected especially because the restaurant was packed. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders and they were hot and crispy! Not to mention the sauce that we were given! She normally does not eat anything that has to do with honey mustard, but she gave it a try, and she LOVED it. The fries were also the best I've ever had! We've been going here for the last 2 years. We have lived in the area for 20 years and this was a really well kept secret. We went with some friends and have been going back ever since. The steaks are all very good. My favorite is the aged ribeye, my wife loves the filet Oscar, which is hard to find around these parts. We've tried going here three times (granted, on a Saturday) and were told there was over a two hour wait every time. Maybe it's just a regional thing, but I dont think I've had to ever wait more than 2 hrs in the trendiest restaurant in Chicago. Is it reservation only? How far in advance must you make a reservation? I cant imagine this restaurant is *that* good that they can be so snobby and not have any walk in tables available. What a well kept secret! We have been camping in this area for 5 years & finally heard about this place! Casual dress, right on the lake (noticeably loud inside for some reason) . We had a party of 5 for dinner. The lobster bisque soup was incredible! But the cream of potato was a little watery. I had the Shrimp Scampi w/rice which was a lacking on flavor. The Ribeye steak dinner was pretty impressive & cooked exactly as ordered. The size of the Spaghetti dinner was huge. Overall had a nice experience & would go back again to try some different things on the menu. read more
