I've been here a few times now and honestly it's become one of my go-to spots. The chicken is always super crispy on the outside and still juicy inside, which is hard to get consistently but they do it right every time. The spice levels are legit too--not one of those places where "hot" isn't actually hot. I've tried a couple different things on the menu and everything's been solid, especially with the sides. Nothing feels rushed or low quality. It actually tastes like they care about what they're putting out. Also gotta mention the staff--they've always been cool and welcoming, which makes a difference. Been wanting to try this place for a while. I'm a huge Chubby's fan so that is the bar. I ordered a #1 combo medium (2 sandwiches and fries) a side of habibi sauce and a side of mac & cheese. The sandwich is decent, chicken is juicy but was very bland even with the cole slaw and sauce. Fries were all over the place, some looked fresh, some looked like they had been recooked a few times. They were also insanely bland, no seasoning at all. The mac & cheese is well, terrible. I don't think there is any real cheese in it at all. It's very watery and honestly a box of Kraft is better and cheesier. I paid 75 cents for a side of sauce and didn't even receive it. My order was not complicated so not sure how that was overlooked. Forgotten item, gimpy toast, hair in food oh no! It's times like this I wonder why I don't go out of my comfort zone and try different places. First time eating here after our trip to Costco. My boys got shosho fries and a #1 combo. They did enjoy their food. I usually get everyone situated before I sit down to enjoy my food. Save your money and go somewhere else, this place isn't what it used to be. ordered a number 3 today which is one chicken sandwich and one chicken tender. what i received was an extremely thin strip of chicken that did not cover even half of the bun, coleslaw which i asked not be on the sandwich, an ice cold and questionably stale bun and half of a chicken tender on the side. Yes half a tender and i know its a half because the person who ordered behind me got the same meal and they had the other half. Not only has the quality and quantity of chicken diminished this is just straight up false advertising, I paid for a chicken sandwich and a chicken tender, not half a tender and half a sandwich. Sooooo, I was on my way to Raising Canes when lo and behold I came across this place on Yelp. While I was about to enter the drive thru I reversed and headed on over to Habibi's lol. It's a small establishment with a decent amount of tables and booths. I arrived around lunchtime on a Friday. There was quite a few people in there eating and a couple ahead of me to order. The lady at the register was super friendly and helpful with my questions regarding the spice levels. I love spicy food but I got a mild and it was a mild kick so it was very enjoyable. Some reviews complained about lack of flavor, and while I see what they mean, it's definitely flavorful but not as much as the renowned hot chicken spots. This is more comparable with something like Dave's Hot Chicken or Egg n Bird, although Habibi's is much better and more flavorful than those two. Service is incredible, they're extremely nice here. Tried Habibi's Hot Chicken for the first time last night, and overall, the food was really good. Out of the three local hot chicken spots--Dave's Hot Chicken, Chubby's Chicken, and this place--I'd rank it second best. I think Habibi's is better than Chubby's in terms of overall flavor and sauce, but if you like extra heat, Chubby's might be the better pick since Habibi's isn't as spicy. One thing I didn't love was that the breading didn't fully stick to the chicken, but the taste was still on point. The sauce here is definitely better than Chubby's, though. Stopped by on a Thursday to pick up lunch for myself and my husband and was greeted by the owner who was super friendly and took the time to talk to me about their menu and the restaurant. I went with his recommendation and ordered the Combo 3 and Shosho's loaded fries. The chicken was tender and very flavorful. We got the Combo 3 in hot and the Shosho fries in medium. Both were a very tolerable spice level (at least for us). I know everyone has a different spice tolerance, so just keep that in mind. Fries were cooked well and the mac and cheese in the Shosho fries was delicious. We both liked the Habibi sauce too - wish I would have got an extra one. Prices are pretty fair when you compare it to other hot chicken places. The portions are pretty good too. I definitely felt we got our money's worth.
