OK. I've been here 3 times now. Last two times were an Italian Beef sandwich (3*, pure, untouched, Vienna Beef IB. I had to try this place recommended by a friend for a Chicago hotdog. Went here during my lunch hour with my husband. They have an outside seating with umbrellas which is nice and a few tables inside. You walk up and place an order directly to the cashier. We waited for at least 20 minutes for our hotdogs. So I guess it has been quite a while since the last time I stopped in here. I was in the neighborhood and hungry and had time so I came in. I've always enjoyed the food here and I was not disappointed. From the outside, nothing has changed. It looks exactly the same as it did years ago. When I first walked inside, everything looked similar, except there were some subtle differences. The first thing you would notice is that the seating has been changed. I walked up to the counter, and the lady working pointed behind me and told me the menu was on the wall. I seem to remember it being behind the counter. The prices have risen over time, but they seem fairly reasonable. I went over the menu to see what was different and most of it looked fairly familiar. I decided to try something new and got a Polish sausage on this visit. I don't think I've ever ordered one here before I got it Chicago style with no tomato as usual, and I got it as a basket which comes with fries and a small drink. When ordering one of the first things you should notice is these aren't the people I used to have when I came home. It was a good couple. Who's English wasn't great, but we're fantastic to deal with. The two people working in there on this occasion were quite a bit younger, but just as nice. You did a great job with my order and it was very happy with my selection. I feel like there were less french fries in the basket that I used to get but still plenty for me. Shoestring fries, which are one of my favorites And the Polish sausage is Vienna beef rather than the Maxwell Street. It was perfect for the day. I got some lemonade from the soda machine and I wasn't happy with it so I switched to a Dr Pepper which hit the spot. I hope I get to come back again soon so I can explore further into the menu and try some of my old favorites here. If you like Chicago style food, this is a great place to stop. read more

We tried the Korean bulgogi dumplings, Chicago dog, Italian sausage and gyro. 10/10 all absolutely amazing. I loved the old food truck signs and chicago nicknacks. Super comfortable place with outside seating in case you've got a dog with you too. My friend had a taste for hot dogs so we stopped here. Let me start out by saying she doesn't know how the hot is because shes allergic to mustard. So why is mustard on her hot dog. This was the same question we asked because she ordered ketchup, mayo and pickles. I offered to go back but she just threw it away‍. Delicious!! Okay I'm originally from NYC so I love me some pizza and hot dogs. It's almost always hard to find a place that offers red onion sauce instead of grilled onions here in FL. I have passed by this location more than a thousand times but it's kind of hidden in plain sight to be honest. I ordered 4 Chubby hotdogs. 3 with Red onion sauce, sauerkraut and ketchup and then ordered a Chicago style one. The wait was about 10 mins but definitely worth the wait. They were so tasty and juicy definitely weren't just sitting in water. They have 3 / 4 sizes of hot dogs and they have a good amount of other items on their menu. My husband and I have driven past this place for a couple years now. A couple months ago we noticed it and I looked up the Yelp reviews. They were so stellar we made a note to try it. We made our way over there a couple weeks ago and I'm happy we did! The couple working was so nice, so friendly, so welcoming. The place has some kitschy stuff that was cute. It's a small place but has both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Best of Both Worlds and made it a basket which adds fries and a drink. Hubs ordered the Italian beef and sausage combo, also as a basket. The fries were good, the size of Mickey D's (and yes, I love their fries), but could have used a touch more salt. The Italian beef was sooo good! I would definitely order it again, by itself so I could get the full sandwich. The au jus was delicious. My brother and I both went to this establishment last weekend. When we got there, we were surprised at how small the actual business was. We both ordered the super chubby with different toppings. I had my hotdog with mayonnaise, ketchup, and onion sauce. The hotdog was pretty good, but it was definitely missing some toppings. My brother had a chili dog, and it was also pretty good. The fries were those classic thin fries that are very crunchy. Overall the experience was good, but it wasn't excellent. It's a cozy little restaurant that feels like someone threw up some walks around a sidewalk hotdog cart, umbrellas and all. I ordered the dressed Chubby basket with mayo and red onion sauce. The good: - The food is made to order, and comes out piping hot. - Service is pretty quick. - Friendly staff, and it was absolutely hilarious hearing the guy yell an accented "Chubby ready!" every time an order was up. The bad: - The fries were over cooked. Not to the point of being inedible, but definitely too long. - There was so much mayo and onion sauce on the hot dog that I had to scrape most of it off. - There's limited seating inside. Not a big deal at 2:30pm when I went, but could be an issue at peak times. Also, there were only 3 low tables, and the rest was bar top seating. Could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. An off day from work turned into a new food adventure! I have passed by this location on my way to/from work thousands of times but decided to go in today (I was craving a GOOD hot dog!). The location is at the end of a plaza that you might miss if you weren't familiar with the area, but I say don't miss coming here! The hot dog I had was the Chubby (medium-sized all-beef hot dog) with just the basics of mustard, onion, and onion sauce. It was a good-tasting combo, and I took it as a basket with fries. As a native Chicagoan I am always looking for great food from Chicago in the Orlando area. I am also in love with something called the pizza puff and there is only 2 places to get those on Orlando this is one of the places! It is located in Maitland and very easy to find...and they have the original Chicago hot dog, pizza puff, Polish sausages, Italian beef and all that Chicago favorites. I took me a while to finally come here because their hours are very weird they're only open during business hours, they close at 7pm on Saturdays? And they're closed on Sundays! So finally my husband I were able to go during the day. The place looks nice with lots of Chicago memorabilia inside. The owners are not American and their accents are pretty thick so make sure that when you order that understand what you're saying and don't mess up your order. I ordered original Chicago hotdog ( definitely order this if you go with all the trimmings) and a pizza puff. My husband ordered a polish sausage and pizza puff as well and they were both amazing! My childhood all over again :-) The prices word a little high and I'm assuming because of supply and demand of them being 1 of the 2 only Chicago restaurants in the area? Are there more?..If so let me know! The food taste great just like home and we will definitely be back again to try more things of we find some time in the middle of the day. For a decent Chicago Hot Dog served quickly and with a smile, make your way to Chubby's Hot Dogs in Maitland. Personally, I am partial to Hot Dog Heaven - and NOTHING tops a Portillo's dog in Chicago - but give Chubby's respect. Upon entry, I noticed at least a dozen guys MURDERING their hot dogs and subs at lunchtime. This joint is a regular stop for them. My dog came with everything but peppers, by request, and I enjoyed it though I was not a fan of the bun. It was a bit too "cake-y" for me. However, I was happy with the service and how fast my order was served. Serve me piping hot fries and I am your "dawg."
