Just left the porch with some friends. I had too much cash on me so I wanted to pay my tab with cash. My bill was $15. I gave the waitress $20. The waitress brought back everyone's cards and no change for myself. I was baffled because I was not given the option or asked, Do you want any change? Great food, I had the garlic Parmesan wings and would come back for those alone. Super tasty, classic wet wings. Next time I want to try mixing two flavors. The service was friendly across the board, and everything came out quickly, both drinks and food. Brunch prices are a great deal, too. The vibe is perfect for a casual but fun weekend outing, more elevated than a dive bar but still laid-back. It's been a while, but my husband and I were looking to get a chicken Caesar wrap. They had a Caesar salad on the menu, but our server said we could do the wrap with either grilled or crispy chicken. It was around $4 - $5 to add chicken. We also tried the mimosa double since they had a special for brunch for $5.50. I got the breakfast sandwich which came with smashed potatoes. The server was great and checked in on us several times. The food took a good amount of time to arrive, but it was decent. I had a bite of the wrap and I liked the crunch of the croutons. I felt like it could've used a smidge more dressing, but it was overall good. The sandwich was also good, but I think it could've benefitted from being on sliced and toasted bread instead of potato bun. The egg was also very well done; I prefer it a little jammy or runny. The smashed potatoes were pretty good and it came with a decent amount. The mimosa couldn't used a smudge more orange juice, but it was a double so understandable. A little loud inside, but it's an open area with dart boards and loud conversations. We didn't have to yell and we could carry a conversation well enough. Parking was a bit rough. I got the regular hamburger on pretzel bread with tater tots $12 My friend got the TV dinner which was chicken tenders mashed potatoes and mac and cheese with corn in a cookie. $15 I got my hamburger and it looked great but when I cut into it it was not fully cooked it was still red inside. I ate a couple of bites and decided I better not do this so I had to send it back. They replaced it with a fully cooked hamburger. Tater tots for hot and fresh. The ambiance here truly feels like a porch. It's giving public house type of restaurant. I have visited the one that's in Orlando and really enjoyed it. I decided to give Winter Park a shot this time around. The price of food and drinks is truly excellent and you get a good amount of food. Our server was very nice however she was very busy with multiple tables of bigger groups that took a lot of her time making it difficult for her to check on us. The food took quite some time almost 45 minutes for some tenders, a Cobb salad and a kids grilled cheese. The Porch is a great spot to meet up and watch a game, mainly FL games. If it's not a FL college team, it is a little harder. This time we sat at the bar, when you wanted to order a drink or bucket the service was quick, but I had to ask 4 times (2 different bartenders) for a water, that was strange. The food is solid, I tried the TV dinner. It didn't look very appetizing, but it tasted good, just a funny, nostalgic concept. My wife got the smash burger and that was better. Despite having lots of seating options, our waitress put us in a crowded booth that wasn't quite comfortable for 6 adults. We're a close group though and we didn't feel the need to ask to move. I feel like she may have forgotten to put in our ticket or some other mistake had occurred because it took a little over an hour to get our food. For burgers, chicken, and waffles, the wait was really excessive. That being said, the food was fantastic. For appetizers, we got the fish dip and the Brussels and cauliflower. The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. For my entree, I got the mushroom burger with sweet potato tots. We got here around 11 AM for brunch and it wasn't busy. They allowed us to sit inside with our dog but they also have an outdoor patio. The Bloody Mary was amazing and although I didn't get one the mimosas were very large and cheap. They do not offer unlimited mimosas as they once did in the past. This is a great spot for small or large groups. They have a private parking lot that's easy to get to, which is a win for me as the parking in winter park gives me major anxiety. They have a full service bar with lots of TVs playing games, though we weren't here to watch a game. I love they they have both inside and outside spaces to eat with plenty of seating in both. I ordered a couple of espresso martinis that were on happy hour. They were delicious. They have a few vegan and vegetarian dishes in the menu. I opted for tacos with the sweet potato/black bean burger as the protein inside. It was very good. It came with a side salad that was crisp and fresh. Pretzel bites were ordered for the table and they were steaming hot, toasty on the outside, and soft on the inside. I would get those again. Everyone at the table enjoyed their lunches. They've got an inside and outside but when the giant doors are open it's all kind of outside. Love it. Service was prompt and friendly! Searched for a brunch spot to celebrate my best friend's birthday. We were originally seated at a table, but the table top was sticky from the laminated material, and it was weird, so we relocated to the bar. She got a different flavored mimosa with the avocado toast but removed the arugula before digging in ($13). I thought I had ordered a burger but it was actually a BLT which had a watery creamy sauce that was not fun, there was a lot of very crisp bacon which is not my preference, a thick sliced tomato with some lettuce which all fell out the instant you picked up the sandwich ($12). We really love coming here. We're not big drinkers, but that's OK. My husband loves getting the big reds sometimes it's an appetizer or he gets a pound as a meal. We've also tried the big dipper and I've also had the BLT both were delicious. I love their menu and their twist on classics. We really love their french fries my husband just said last night they're the best in Orlando. I did try the southwest chicken salad last night. I was slightly disappointed, not much of the extra stuff on it like the black beans the corn and the potato sticks had more lettuce and chicken. I would have liked to see a nice balance of the other stuff along with the lettuce and the chicken. The ranch was excellent. Next time I go I might ask for extra black beans, corn, potato sticks. I love that there's so many gluten-free options, clearly marked in the menu. I had the Tropical salad with shrimp. So yummy. If you go during lunch, take advantage of HH priced drinks. However, beware their drinking water. It tastes like melted old ice cubes. Not even squeezing a lemon slice into it could make it drinkable. Maybe look into a filtration system. What a disappointment coming here for the second time. We came on a Sunday afternoon after Palm Sunday mass and were self sat at the bar. We waited about 10 minutes to be served and ordered two house lagers. One of the glass cups had a huge crack in it and it almost cut my lip. We informed the server and instead of apologizing, she was quick to say "what beer was it again?" and took it away. As she took the cup to the back, she informed all the surrounding bar tenders that there was a crack on the glass and everyone just scuffed and walked away. Some even laughed. After she came back with a new glass, we ordered our food. Fried flowers and chicken wings. After 1.5 hours of waiting for our food, and we've already had three rounds of beer - we decided to cash out. Our server gave us our bill and charged us for the food. Gave the bill back to her saying that we didn't receive our food and want to leave. She said, "What do you mean you didn't get your food?" when it was obvious that our utensils were still neatly packed in the napkin. She took the bill and went to the kitchen - came back out and said "your food is almost done." Almost done? It's been over 90 minutes. It should have been done. Server went to get the manager for assistance. While that happened, a bar tender in front of us accidentally dropped the champagne bottle on top of the ice. He lifted it up and looked at us and said, "At least it didn't crack!" Like it was a "ha-ha" moment. The ice was not cleaned. I also saw a bunch of bar tenders using the shaker glass to scoop ice from the ice box. Unsanitary. Manager came out and adjusted the bill. It wasn't comp'd because we didn't receive our food. It was a busy time of day during Saturday and there were NFL playoffs going on so it was really busy! We never had to ask twice for things they were really great about diving checks and getting things to us in a timely manner. And I'm sure we were annoying taking a table and different people rotating in and out but they were super polite! I love this place to watch football they have a ton of tv screens and they played the games on the loud speaker which is always nice when you're trying to watch the games.
