After ordering the shredded beef ramen and a corn mulita with shredded beef for almost $14 I thought that this is a little pricey for a food truck when the average sit down Mexican restaurant plate is about the same with chips and salsa. The shredded beef mulita comes with way too much cilantro and onion for basically a corn cheese taco, it's going into ramen and will not get wasted. I thought that the Birria beef mulita was tasty on corn tortillas with the shredded beef, cheese, cilantro and onion but not melted anymore when I got home. The Birria beef ramen was pretty good with a nice dark rich/tasty broth and that shredded beef but I threw the cilantro, onions and the hot sauces in it to add some layers of flavors and some heat which was even better. The broth makes or breaks a soup and this one definitely had some depth to it which made the whole ramen very interesting with the beef Birria and a must try at least once. The ramen is simple with a good broth, beef Birria (shredded beef ) and noodles which is very good. Overall I really enjoyed my dinner from this food truck but it's not the same after a 20 drive home and at sit down Mexican restaurant prices I don't see me frequenting it much in the future except for the ramen possibly because for sit down prices I want to sit down have a margarita and enjoy my meal with some chips and salsa. That being said I am very glad that I stopped by just for the unique take on ramen noodles. read more

Yelpers did me right! Keto tacos were to die for. I'm usually an asada all the way (which was good) kind of person but the pollo was special! Consommé was very nice. I do wish their guacamole was fresh (I'm a Californian) and there was crema to make it truly keto. My friend said the chicken quesadilla was heaven and my kid loved the quesatacos. I feel like Chuchos food is fairly well known but if you haven't tried it, you need to!! I've always had the "regular" burria tacos before but last night I was looking to order ahead for pickup and tried the toast app for the first time with them and browsed the full menu before landing on the birria nachos and the quesitacos. Both were Soo delicious and I feel like they were a very good value for the price. But the thing that put this experience over the top for me was the service because I accidentally hit the place order button before I meant to so I called and asked them to hold off starting the order and they had no problem with that. And then my husband arrived before I had thought he would and he explained who he was and they started the order right away and got it out so quickly I was shocked. I'll definitely be ordering to go a lot more often from them now!! Sorry no pics as I was eating in bed. Amazing food! The birra tacos with consommé are so tasty and the ultimate comfort meal

Chuchos is a food truck with an attached dining area (and bar) which gives it a fun, casual vibe. The day we went they had live music out on the patio. Its a fun spot for sure! It has indoor and outdoor patio seating. You can order at the window or via their website, which made it really easy, and then just get your food at the pickup window. We ordered the quesi tacos with Barria and consomé and the steak quesadillas and an horchata. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The quesadilla was so juicy and flavorful. The price is right and the tacos made me want to dance but they were too filling :) It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back soon! read more

So here we go! I went here bc the Yelp and google pics seemed like it was gonna be a winner but sadly I was disappointed! First I'll start off with the 4$ quesi tacos! 4$!!! Are you kidding me? When I tasted the steak and birria ones, they were like every other taco from bel air. Nothing that made it AUTHENTIC! How can you charge 4$ for a taco that doesn't have much flavor when it comes to the protein having no authentic seasoning or spice and the tortillas not even made in house? The small consume soup had literally no flavor, no vegetables in it and should be taken off the menu because it's a complete waste for 2.50$. The Birria ramen could have been good if it wasn't SO HEAVY!! it was a huge container but with no vegetables and just a heavy beef broth, beef and ramen, I certainly didn't find anything original or tasty about it and couldn't even eat 1/4 of it. And lastly, when I go to any Mexican restaurant, it comes down to the salsa and sauces, that red salsa tasted like a Tostitos salsa jar that they just changed the name too.Where is the HOMEMADE SALSA? Where is the SPICE? And the green salsa was not much better. So after all that, I have to give it the lowest rating because it has no authentic homemade salsa's, no spice, no originality with menu items, and I wasted 34$ on a place you shouldn't go to! read more

Huge fan of any sort of shredded beef tacos (aka barbaco) anytime I have an opportunity to get them, that's my go to. These shredded beef tacos were PHENOMENAL! Best in the Milwaukee area without a doubt. The corn tortillas soaked in chili oil was honestly what made them stand out from just your classic tacos. It gave them just the right amount of heat. I was going to stay and eat outside because their entire outdoor area was so cute and you don't really feel like you're in Milwaukee when you're there. Chucho's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee. They specialize in the birria tacos which are absolutely mouthwatering. They're juicy, perfectly seasoned, and so filling that you only need 3-4 to REALLY fill you up. I have yet to try their burritos but I can imagine them being equally tasted. If you are up to it, you can order the birria ramen on the side, but it was a bit too salty to have alone. There is already enough of the birria juices in the tacos that you should only get the ramen if you're deficient in salt. read more

What a great spot!!! I was on my way back to work and jumped on 6th Street because it looked like traffic on Layton was a bit heavy. Passed by Chucho's not realizing what it was and did a u-turn as soon as it was safe. They share a driveway with a greenhouse, so be sure to park in the correct side. On the outside, the place looks great! It's got a nice little outdoor dining area, what looks like a party area and then the main restaurant. I prefer my food at the kiosk at the bar, it couldn't have been easier to do. One chicken quesadilla please! After a short wait, my food was ready. And HOLY SMOKES! This was easily one of the biggest and bestest chicken quesadillas I've had! Great seasoning of the chicken, lots of cheese and a nicely toasted shell made it absolutely delicious. Topped off by their just the right bite salsa and my taste buds were thrilled with lunch. I'm looking forward to going back to try some more of their menu. This was such a good birria tacos fix! And really good for cold weather food because it comes out hot and spicy. I ended up getting the quesi tacos with steak and was not disappointed. They fill it with a lot of meat and flavor. One thing to note: most places I've been to before give a cup of consume with the tacos, here you have to order it separately. I wouldn't say it's necessary but I'd still recommend getting it for extra moisture and flavor. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I believe most of the parking is street parking as the indoor parking is used by the other establishments patrons. And or they have signage. I have been waiting to try Chuy's and have heard good things. We ordered delivery and tried several things including a burrito, Quesi taco (taco with lots of gooey melted cheese) and a Mulita (essentially a stuffed quesadilla) and of course we ordered the consommé that we red tacos are all about. We tried the birria de pollo and res with our various items and got a consommé of beans to round out the whole experience. The food was rich, crunchy, and gooey with all that cheese. It came with onions, cilantro, and red & green salsas plus cut limes. Everything dipped in the consommé got even better. Plus the consommé came with extra tortillas. I have to admit that when we finished our food I actually drank the rest of the consommé like soup. It was messy but filling to eat and I will definitely order again! The salsa was good but the consommé was great and really brought all of the food to the next level. I'd order the birria de res again in a heartbeat. The pollo was good too, but we both preferred the pollo. I look forward to post-COVID times and going to the food truck in person for a filling & satisfying meal! read more

Tacos Names are confusing. I've been seeing pics of Chuy's for a few weeks now and finally decided to make a visit on the weekend. First off, they push the online ordering which is great, but it wasn't "enabled" at around 1p in the afternoon and they open at 11a so I wasn't sure if they were even open before I made my trip. I messaged and they responded shortly after and turned things on. Cool. The next thing was that I found the menu confusing. I ordred the Mulita, thinking thats what I saw in some pics - two taco shells. Wrong, what I got was like a quesadilla with two hard shells. No problem-o, I was just wanting to try the cheesy meat anyways so I removed the tops. The shells themselves were a little greasy, but I liked both the chicken and beef. Using the cashdrop app, I felt like I got skipped - it said I was third in line but a half dozen others got their order before me and it was about 30 min for the two Mulitas. The prices were reasonable. I'd like to make it back to try the vegan option and get an actual taco and see if the ordering process is any better so that I can bump up the stars. read more

If this were a strictly a carry out establishment, this would be okay. They ask for a tip. Who am I tipping? Me? Oh my gosh. OH MY GOSH! Finally Mexican food that hasn't been whitewashed and flavor killed. The atmosphere is really nice! The tiki bar (filled with delicious drinks) has a really fun vibe. The tacos are extremely juicy and flavorful. We got the beef which was perfect. I mean perfect. The red tacos are bursting with flavor. I have also tried the chicken tacos which seem to have more juice then the beef and was fantastic. Make sure to get the consumé!!! The rice and beans have amazing flavor as do the salsas. There's nothing worse than going for salsa and getting la croix. This is NOT an issue here. The flavors are abundant and decadent. This place is close to my work and finally decided to stop off and give it a try. First off I am going to start off by saying that this place has some of the best bloody marys I have ever had. They don't put a lot in them as far as pickles and cheese and celery and all that, but the actual flavor of the drink was top notch. Now on to the food, between the 4 of us we order a wide array of food, and we all really enjoyed our tacos. They all had great flavor. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is a lot of what you will read from other reviews. For what you pay for the tacos they are very small. I mean for us dudes these are two bite tacos, so you either need to be prepared to walk away hungry or order a couple extras.
