Our family sat down to eat and guess what? A worker of this restaurant ( I guess on a break because she was in uniform) was sitting right next to us, eating and on her phone talking on SPEAKERPHONE to someone ...... very loud and annoying. Totally classless. Very rude. Then she starting cursing on the phone conversation which everyone in the area could hear including F- bombs with children in the area. Disrespectful! Totally ruined the whole meal. Thanks a lot. I have a suggestion for management, how about a rule when your employees r on break, no phone calls in the presence of customers. If u need to make a call, how about u step outside or go sit in your car. We brought this situation up to other staff and the manager. No apology, seemed like they did not care. Then when I was up by the salad bar, three workers were standing there and pointing and looking at me as they discussed , presumably this situation. I guess as a paying customer I need to listed to a worker on speaker phone saying f@$k and stuff. And I guess I just need to sit there and take it. Maybe these people r from Uranus ?!?!? Overpriced bland food. Hair was found in our food and the waitresses were flirting with my group. Absolutely no spice at all in their meats and pastas. All of us fell sick only a few hours after eating from here. Do not recommend. read more

Food was good and they had great service but selection is much smaller then you would believe by walking In they use mirrors on one wall behind the food to make it appear that the buffet is bigger but by the time you release it you already payed I feel like it would be easy for them to expand the variety of food but they do have a main style of food for each day read more

This all you can eat Buffet style restaurant in my opinion is exceptionally good, even my Dad likes eating here, and he's into his food big time and expects a lot. Everything here is made fresh and each day of the week there's a different main course meal. Today was Mexican day, my favorite. They have other choices of foods from salads, breads, fried chicken, soups, hand carved ham/beef, breads, cookies, desserts, and much more. The drinks are included with your meal purchase as well. My only complaint-the Woman's Bathroom-you have no privacy, there may as well be no separate stalls, because the gap in each one is that wide to see in, out, and you can see the stall next to you. I'm surprised knowing how ultra conservative this area is and for being a restaurant. Has anyone complained about the Women's Bathroom? All they need to do is add liners to fill in the wide open gap. Us Women want privacy! Oh and one more thing, not really a complaint, their desserts are a lot to choose from and I really like thier soft serve ice cream, but there's no ice cream cones for the soft serve ice cream! read more

As family buffets go, this one is my favorite. The salad bar is wonderful. They have a large variety of fresh toppings as well as many delicious dressings. Some items are the same everyday, but they have a section that changes each day of the week. Sunday: Turkey dinner Monday: International day (stuffed bell peppers and chicken fried steak) Tuesday: Chinese food (I highly recommend the general chicken) Wednesday: BBQ day (delicious) Thursday: Mexican Food day (everything for tacos or a taco salad) Friday: Sea Food Day Saturday:Italian Day (lasagna and other pastas) Tuesdays and Fridays have breaded shrimp and coconut shrimp available during dinner. I love the baked goods and the dutch oven section (it is there everyday) I highly recommend it. I like how hygiene oriented everyone is. A manager is almost always watching the food. One time I saw a child touch the food. The manager quickly whisked away that food item and replaced it with a fresh untouched batch. I have a friend that works there, and she tells me that they also wash all of the soda machines at night as well as the salt and pepper shakers. read more

I am quickly falling in love with Chuck-A-Rama. Each day provides a different menu of items that anyone could love. I just went tonight(Wednesday) for the ChuckWagon menu which features some amazing entrees such as Dutch Oven Confetti rice and bbq pork spare ribs to dutch oven Corn bread. The Roast beef was amazingly tender and like always the Mashed potatoes were freshly made from real potatoes. There was also a Spicy sausage and Chuck wagon beans which were incredible. You could also find fresh roasted chicken and a huge Salad bar for the salad lovers. The desert bar alone is worth the whole trip. Fresh baked cookies and Soft serve creamy ice cream really make for a great finish to eat Lunch or dinner. The whole establishment is very clean and the staff is super friendly and very quick to refill your soft drink or coffee. I have gone to Chuck-A-Rama now about 15 times since 2006 and each time has been great. The buffet also has a lot of kid friendly items such as pizza and macaroni and cheese and many more items. If your looking for a great priced lunch or dinner and want to fill up on freshly made items from scratch and want a great desert to boot, I highly recommend you visit Chuck-A-Rama and give them a try if you havent already. read more

I'm retired while my wife still works, so lunchtime I get to eat anywhere I want. Chuck-A-Rama is a good place when I'm really hungry (senior discount ;), and their stew, I'd guess it's called, is the first thing I go after. This is the very best buffet I have ever been too. The food is always good and fresh, tons to pick from and it changes daily. The salad bar is so huge and they keep it filled up continually. There are 2 dessert tables plus 2 ice cream machines with toppings, lots of moist fresh cakes and puddings. One table has fresh baked rolls, breads, muffins and cookies. My favorite days are everyday! The staff is always nice and they keep your drinks filled with the largest assortment of beverages I have ever seen! read more

Oh, where to start? I remember when this opened. I can't believe it has been over 10 years already. I thought this place would be good but couldn't be more wrong.The food is average. The barbeque chicken makes me sick and I can't eat it. I honestly don't know why people love this place so much. My guess is because they can take their many children and eat at a place fast for a reasonable price. The only good thing I can say about this place is that, it has really great scones, they have a wide variety of things on a buffet that other buffet's don't offer. That's a hint for Sizzler. As some of you might know, the building that is now Red Robin used to be JJ North's. That was some of the best buffet food ever. Overall recommendation. I like it. It may not be for everyone: The Good: The food is basically good. I love the salad bar and the different prepared salads. You can always get prime rib and roast beef, and then the specials of the day. The staff is always friendly and quick to refill your drinks. The Not So Good: Lots of little kids running around bumping into you, Lots of people on a Saturday night, pretty crowded. Let's start out with the fact that I love buffets. I get to pick and choose whatever I want - not limited to what the menu says I can have. We've only been here once, even though I could go every week. The meat is fresh and hot and everything tastes great. The breads are all fresh, the salads are fresh - this is getting repetitive, ain't it? That's a great thing, actually. You go into Chuck-A-Rama Buffet and you will get good food at a fair price and it will all be great. I also like how the rooms are set up so you can have a large family in an almost private room and not bother the entire restaurant. The customer service is wonderful - they really do want to help you, it doesn't appear to be forced or like they're begging for tips. Definitely a great place to eat. read more

I love the slushees they have. The scones are GREAT!!!!!!!! I luv the scones a ton. I also really like the shrimp. The macaroni is okay I guess. Probably wouldn't get it again but it's okay. The Jello is good too ;) The staff is nice as well but can sometimes take forever to get you a drink. I asked for a drink and it took like 15 minutes. But other than that, it's good ;))) read more

Good usually, I have been here three times now and it has been good only. The food is generally good, but sometimes the variety is poor. They have good pasta and meat, but some of their salads aren't the best. The biggest complaint I have though is the restrooms have always been dirty! Very friendly staff though, good place for a quick buffet. read more

tbh I thought this restaurant was gonna be really good because the chuck-a-rama restaurant in Boise was absolutely good. but I was really disappointed with this one. the food wasnt all that great and they should really check on their soda machines because I was getting mountain dew and I pushed the button. but when I let go it wouldn't stop, I had to press on it like a hundred times so it would stop. well anyway dont give hate if u really like this restaurant I'm just giving my opinion on what I think of this restaurant. read more

I've come here a few times. But I have to say that the food is good. But. They have poor service and their cleanliness was horrible. Dirty dishes and bathrooms. And two stalls were broken in the females restroom. My advice is keep up guys and clean up. read more
