I love Asian food. When I moved here I was a little sad to find Idaho Falls had such limited choices for Asian food. Today I was in a hurry with a small window of time to grab something to eat so I had to get fast food. Something I avoid when possible... My brother mentioned this place and it was on the way so we stopped. I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised by Cupbop. I am staying in town for a few weeks and was craving some non-traditional American. I saw Cupbop show up and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. Boy was I wrong. Whoever was givin this spot specifically 5 stars either has burnt off their taste buds or is just dead inside and wanted to lead others astray. Now, I coulda come on a bad day or at a bad time. But I figured 7pm on a Friday night was a pretty safe bet. The service was friendly and fast, and the interior was clean and fast-casual as ever. I ordered their bbq pork and tangy fried chicken bowl with their noodles and cabbage. You know it's a rough meal when the best tasting thing was the unseasoned, uncooked cabbage. Have you ever been at a summer bbq and had a burger that was chock full of burnt grease? Yeah, that was just the noodle flavor. The chicken was definitely multiple days old and had been re-warmed to the point the constantly of the coating was really gross. The ones that were chicken, some were just fried breading. The bbq pork was well cooked but tasted half like chemicals. I ultimately threw half of the bowl out bc the brunt grease flavor started making me gag. I wanted cupbop today and it started off with the fact that the mandoo is no where to be found (idk id they took it off the menu but the app didn't communicate at all) this is just the start and to be honest I'm pissed. Today has been so chaotic and i just wanted some food so i could help with my stomach hurting. I had my boyfriend pick up the food and he said that they need to changeout my protein to the "ugly" chicken rather then the katsu which i thought okay thats fine but the chicken was horrible it tasted as if if has been under a heating lamp for hours. on top of all of this they gave me some sort of beef (i cannot eat beef it hurts my stomach) instead of the other chicken im not sure what the employees are thinking but any other chicken would have been fine its the fact they gave me some other meat without even asking. I then tried to contact their store and the phone is going straight to voicemail. Yall wasted my money and my time and im irritated because i cannot get this issue resolved as there is NO ONE to contact. read more

I have loved this cupbop since it was first set up in Broulims. Over the years the quality has gone down but this was a new low. The mandoo tasted like old veggie spring rolls (they must have changed their recipe), the noodles were clumped together and also tasted old, and they hardly had any sauce on any of the bowls that I ordered. Overall, this was the most disappointing trips and based off of complaints that I've seen recently, it doesn't seem like a one off situation. Won't be going back anymore. read more

Horrible, health/safety violations, inedible food, charged for items not received, among worst experiences EVER!! I would like to preface that this was our first time dining at CupBop, we love korean food/korean bbq, & had high hopes for adding a great quick service stop to our repertoire! Instead, our experience left me questioning the safety of the food we were served. We ordered a family 4pack, sauce & cabbage on the side-nope, sauce everywhere & found the cabbage. I even cited that my daughter is autistic-didn't matter(we eat family style, especially at a new establishment-middle daughter is autistic, she took one look at the sauce everywhere, cabbage she asked to be removed,& refused to eat-PERIOD). Included photos. Katsu on salad & in cup was SUPER dried out & rock hard(turned yellow), looks like day old(photos attached). I believe this would be a health violation/hazard(incorrect holding), I know I am too scared to eat it or serve it to my family. Makes me wonder about the overall health practices at this location!! Prior to ordering, we called to ask if kkokko chicken was white, dark, or mix, was told white...it is not(or it is white meat & is just THAT old/dried out-wouldnt be shocked either way at this point...another thing we paid for that is not being eaten). The bulgogi was served cold(not room temp, but cool/cold), which was an interesting choice! But still good-cannot go wrong with the classics!! Soooo, was this also held incorrectly?? Definitely wasnt fresh. The salad was missing corn & chips(it was just lettuce & a scoop of noodles). We also paid for extra dressing for the salad(only 50c, it is just the point & speaks to the overall standards), in the notes, i asked for both types-since we dont know what we like yet. Nope, one half filled cup of dressing. Another thing we paid for & didnt get to eat. Rice seemed to be from last week-was discolored and came in dry, hard clumps that felt like actual rocks, about 1" x 2.5" x 0.25" to 0.5"-could not separate-believe we would have broken teeth if attempted to eat it. Have NEVER been served such pure garbage in my life!! To add insult to injury, upon arrival we were told they did not have corn dogs, did not have kimchi fried rice, &no mandu sauce(so we received dry mandu-one appeared to have a bite taken-have photo)-there was no apology, no mention of a refund, when asked-they stated that they couldnt do that-lol...so I guess that is more we donated to cupbop for things we could not eat. No refund for those items we paid for & did not receive. Maybe they got our order confused & gave us the compost instead...only thing that could possibly make sense! I know my family was not fed!! On the positive side, the mandu were amazing & bulgogi was very good(despite being cold-I bet it would be AMAZING served hot!!)!! The sauces were interesting(when not soaking everything & in flavors we did not want), something for everyone from sweet to spicy & everything in between!! I am sure that they would be even better with edible food!! Most of the glass noodles were also very good(one order was "crunchy" & dried out like worms trapped in the sun on a sidewalk after a summer morning rain...&one order was dark like they were headed that way). I understand that we ordered 30min before close, however if you cannot serve safe and edible food after a certain time, maybe closing earlier is the way to go! Found the place through Yelp. You order the protein and they put rice, noodles, cabbage, and sauce. I had the bulgogi. Very tasty and everything put into the bowl was very good. I also had mandoo which was a nice side dish. read more

It has been a long time since I posted a review. A nephew recommended this place. For a quick Korean food, this was a great place to go. Staff were very friendly and even took the time to show us how to order. It wasn't that hard to figure out, but she took her time and made ordering easy. Highly recommend this place if you want something fast to eat. Also, not bad for Idaho Falls, even coming from Hawaii where there are tons of Korean Food around. read more

My husband and I recently moved and I was ecstatic that we were close to a cupbop!! My husband had never been so I had to take him, when we got there we explained to the employee that it was his first time and she was so helpful in explaining the spice level, what the difference was in each of the cups, what kind of drinks were the best, and was just very pleasant. She even offered to make mine less spicy if I didn't enjoy the amount of spice I chose. She also gave us both an egg roll because it was his first time. I have been to this Cupbop in Ammon twice. They are such nice workers, both times! The food is yummy! I have to be Gluten Free and I love that they have 4 options for me. I'm not sure where all the 5 star reviews are coming from. Went there the other day and was completely disappointed. The noodles were gummy, the rice was cold and flavorless, and the cabbage was dry. The entire dish was one note with no other veggies but the cheap dry cabbage. The meats did not seem to be at a healthy temperature to ward off bacteria. There was no citrus or flavor other than the sauces which were also lacking in any flavor except for a bit of heat. Two stars for the friendly people working there, but a huge fail of concept from both of us dinning there. Will not be back. read more

So tasty I want to eat it every day! Spicy rock bop with extra meat! Saucy B Bop and some Mandoo! It's all delicious!

This place is really good. The interior is fairly small so there is not a lot of seating but the food was delicious. My only complaint was the #10 spicy sauce was really lacking on the spicy side but that's just my personal preference. I expected mouth burning hot and not a slight tingle. It's alright. This was my first time coming here. Not much flavor throughout. Rice tasted older. When I sat down to eat my food I found a hair on my meat. Went to ask for a new bowl and they were very hesitate to do anything about it and had to talk to a manager or something first. They replaced my bowl, but was very stingy on the meat and I did not get an exact replacement. The music was very loud so it was hard to hear the employees speak. First time there, got the BBop with a 6 spice level. It was delicious!! Just at the top of my spice threshold, and great flavor. Love the noodles, the beef was tender, and everything melded together for the perfect yum factor. Will be coming back! read more

We've always liked Cupbop and are happy it's in Idaho Falls. The mandue (potstickers) just might be our very favorite thing there.

Did not receive my entire order (missing 2 orders of potstickers). Tried contacting the restaurant and their phone is turned off. Additionally, 2 of the cups ordered were not edible for my children due to extreme spice and they were ordered at a spice level of 2 out of 10 (my cup was ordered at a 4 and I was unable to eat my children's cups due to the spice). Very frustrated by the service and inability to contact the restaurant. I will not be going back. read more

We've gone here four times, and the first visit was the only impressive experience. The first time here the food servers were very pleasant with explaining the menu, and the food tasted decent--thought the vegetables/cabbage were insufficient. Every time since our initial visit the food has been mediocre, the service frantic and disorganized, and the food serving area almost unclean. The last time the worker insisted on us telling her at the beginning how many bowls our large group was getting, even though we wanted to ordered singly since everyone's order was so unique; she then sprinkled sesame seeds on one of our orders when we had just informed her that we didn't want any on that bowl and put the wrong sauce on another order. Two of us ordered extra cabbage, but it was the average (re: small) serving size they give of cabbage in the bowls. We are done giving business to cupbop. read more

i think this is the worst cupbop i've ever been to in my life. the workers act like the manager is holding them at gun point when they serve the protein. the drive thru is there excuse to give you bottom of the barrel protein bc you won't see until your back home with your mouth watering and desperate enough to eat a dead rat if they threw that in there. basically just go inside if u want anything, it's a shorter wait anyway. also it's pretty dumb they have a hs student discount and no college student discount even tho they're the ones fueling the cupbop economy. read more
