Saturday afternoon eats, great price and a great variety. We were in town and saw this restaurant a few times while driving around and we had to try it. We are from Vegas so we had to try a buffet and compare. I would say it's better than Golden Corral. It's cleaner. Service is awesome. A good variety of food that's replenished constantly when it gets low. I actually like the way the thongs are hung over each food item so that it's not touching anything and everyone can see which item each belongs to. Price cannot be beat. I'm not a huge buffet person but I enjoyed all the variety. All the salads are great. It's in the corner of a plaza so plenty of parking.

Pizza, sopapilla, prime rib, fried shrimp and mac and cheese.

I had to try a buffet if it's called the Chuck A Rama. After a day of hiking, we were hungry for some comfort food at a decent price. Located right across the hotel I was staying, it was full of families and everyone having a good time. There's a chart for different prices for different ages of kids, but they were all very reasonable. The place is very clean despite how busy it was. We were seated pretty quickly despite the line for dinner. Josh was our server and he was wonderful. Josh was efficient in clearing our many plates, refilling our drinks, and making us feel welcomed in a very busy dinner time. There are five main stations at the restaurant. These are what I'm calling it, so it's not the official station names: The carving station, the Italian food section, the salad bar section, the fried favorites section, and the dessert section. The carving section has ham, turkey and I think prime rib. The prime rib was kinda dry, but there is gravy. Definitely get the mashed potatoes, fries and fry sauce. The corn bread was super moist with LOTS of butter melting on top of it. The fried section had fried chicken, sopapillas, and potatoes. All were fresh and hot. The Italian section had spaghetti and meatballs which I found tasty. I was worried it would just be like ketchup, but it was actually seasoned and the meatballs were a good size and moist. The lasagna had mushrooms in it, so I skipped on that. The garlic bread was sliced and not dry. The salad station had plenty of fresh options, but the fun part was the local salads stuff like frog eyed salad (tapioca with mandarin oranges and shredded coconut) 4/5 good, carrot salad (shredded carrots with vanilla cream?) 3/5 worth trying once, rice pudding, like jello and potato salad ( 4/5 the kind mid west auntie would make). I can't find these items back in Vegas, so it's the charm for me. The dessert station had classic favorites like chocolate chip cookies still in the baking tray, German chocolate cake (very fluffy and nut dense) , brownies and cheesecake. It was all good. For the price point of about $20 for an adult dinner, it was great. Lots of options with a high rotation of fresh food coming out and friendly service, this is why buffets can be great. Kudos to Josh who was our server and he was wonderful. Josh cleared our many plates, refilled our drinks, and made us feel very welcomed despite how busy it was. He was efficient and friendly. The Chuck A Rana has something for everyone and a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Seriously good...I snuck one out to-go!

I finally tried the Utah famous Chuck-A-Rama!! After a few trips visiting and driving through Utah, the A-Rama piqued my interest. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, some more of this and definitely some more of that please! The choices are plentiful and you'll definitely find some options to your liking. I went at lunch just as they opened. 30 minutes later it was zoo like and an hour after opening, seating was limited. The very friendly staff did a great job. My waitress was very good. Look, it's a buffet, some things will be great and maybe others not, but a lot of things will be good. For $15.50 which includes a drink...and a magnitude of drink opinions at that! It's very great deal, that can't be beat! Who has an all you can drink ICEE machine?!...Chuck does!! Not many pictures sorry, I was busy putting in work! Some hit and misses for you. Hits: - Beer battered cod sticks(like huge delicious fish sticks) - Fried chicken - The rolls with honey butter!! - Cornbread Misses: - Mac n' cheese - shrimp fried rice - mini sticky buns Now the dessert options here are next level...what don't they have!! The freshly baked chocolate chip cookies were to die for!! I could eat $15.50 worth of just the cookies!! Die a happy man and be greeted by the cookie monster in the after life! The mountain of rice crispy treats were solid and the cinnamon crumb coffee cake was ridiculous...I had to be careful. Some of the best running water faucets in the restaurant business I have ever seen too for clean up!! There's a phrase out there, I believe it's called "fat and happy"...that was me walking to the car. Chuck-A-Rama..."bad for the waistline, great for the soul"

I'm not a big buffet person but this was a fun experience. Service was amazing -- it was so efficient paying prior to being seated. Our waitress ensured our drinks and plates were always cleared. She was working multiple jobs like cutting the roast beef. It has hometown buffet 90s vibes from the salad bar and indoor decor. It's a fun experience that reminds you of your grandma cooking. Food is overall tasty for a buffet Tip: you can get cash when paying

I'm telling you, you younger kids these days have no idea what you are missing. Is it old? Yes? Is it citche? Yes! Does it have that nursing home vibe? Of course! But, for really good food, a great atmosphere and one heck of a reasonable price you get a memory that will last forever. This place is great! It's exactly what I'm looking for when I'm on the road. The staff of friendly, the food is great. It's clean and well lit with no tripping hazard... really, what more could you ask for? And I just happened to show up on BBQ day, lucky me! I love BBQ and they did a decent job of it. It certainly scratched that itch. Forget Vegas. I just found my new favorite buffet in the West!

I was a little surprised we were served on paper plates and out of the plastic to go containers. That was a first for me. My husband liked his Tandoori Chicken, and I had the butter chicken. I didn't dislike mine, but it was not as good as many I've had, less spices. I don't like hot, and it wasn't, but I mean spices for flavor. The mango lassi was ok, but lacked that tang we enjoy usually with one. Ordering was interesting, they have you order as you come in like a fast food type place, then they seat you and treat it like a dine in experience with great service. However, they ask for the tip like when you order and pay like fast food. It was unusual, so we opted to leave a cash tip afterwards since we didn't know what kind of service we'd receive. The dining room seemed clean, nothing special. We did not use the restrooms. Not sure if we would return. It wasn't bad, but for the price, we weren't wowed

I ordered a Manhattan, and lo and behold, I received some type of smoked old fashioned. When I asked for a new one, Dom, our waiter, said, "Sure, but you'll probably just get the same thing." That surprised me, and I was like, "Go talk to the bartender and see if they can make it." But Dom was pretty certain that, I'd get the same thing. So I ordered something else, and it came out fine. Dom, while new, was not a very good waiter and could use some more training in customer service and in cocktails. His attitude completely ruined the night.
