Well this is one for the books! Food was okay, servers were awesome. Me and 5 of ladies got together for a nice meal out and spent some time talking. There was a table with two adults and two heathens kids. One of them was punching and trying to bite his grandmother, screaming and running around, he took off one of his shoes and was hitting the glass window. The woman and man did nothing! Next thing u know one of them was pucking all over the floor. The clean up was taken up fast by the staff. We all moved to another room. Ok now if your child is sick it's time to leave, but NO they stayed and fed him more. WTF. After finding out these people are here all the time I'll never go back. They made a mess disrespecting the whole place, they didn't even leave a tip. Low class people! I think the manager should have asked them to leave! Have always seen this buffet chain but never tried it so decided to give it a go after hiking in the afternoon. Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - most of the food were either really oily or dry. We stopped eating mostly because of how salty and queasy the hot food was. Even the corn was overly buttered/oiled :(. Best item was the freshly cooked steaks as it was well seasoned and cooked. The salad bar seemed fresh and was consistently topped up. Service: 4/5 - the cashier didn't make eye contact so we stood by the cash register for a few minutes debating whether we pay before or after we eat. Finally she looked up and asked what we wanted to drink. Servers were consistent in coming by to pick up the plates but we were a bit confused initially when they asked if we wanted dinner rolls since it's a buffet and we assumed all the food will be self-served. Ambiance: 4/5 - large restaurant with lots of seating. Surprised that the place is relatively clean despite the children running around, spilled food, and carpeting. They do try to keep the buffet counters relatively clean as well. Value for price: 3/5 - at $16.99 for dinner, it was decently priced but we didn't care for the food overall. May consider just paying for the pound for a steak and get better sides from the grocery store. read more

If unsanitary was a place it'd be this place, all meat soggy and tough and a dead fly corpse on the food. When I touched under the table with my leg presumably boogers under the table. We had a coupon we decided to use. We have not been to a buffet for a while, so we decided to adventure out. Service is mediocre and typical for a buffet. I can see why people choose to go to a buffet for the variety. There is literally no other reason unless you want piles of food. They indeed had a variety, so I decided to protein load with veggies. Our plates were taster samples of what they had. We even shared a couple of items. Halvsies on brat, chicken, and beef liver. I enjoy chicken, so I had their Bourbon chicken, BBQ chicken, and fried chicken. Saw a cheesburger slider and thought oh yum. My sides were rice, zucchini, corn, tablespoon of mash potatoes, and brown gravy. Then hubbie talked me into dessert. Typically, I am not a fan but saw carot cake, moist, sweaty, and cotton candy that seemed normal for bagged cotton candy. I also picked up a fudge brownie dry, tasteless, and chocolate coated rice Krispy treat that was soggy. As homey as they attempt to make it in there, it is run down, 90's style, and Cafe dive. Would I recommend eating there? NO... Literally , right after we left, we adventure to a store when I began feeling sick. Uncontrollable actions at that point happened. The price is right if you are not sure what you want or you are trying to satisfy your family's cravings. They have a good salad bar along with a variety of entrees, including fried chicken, bbq chicken, roasted chicken, meatloaf, hamburger sliders, etc. We dined for a late lunch after a long day of hiking, just wanted something simple and fast, plus we weren't sure what we wanted. The dining area is clean and the service is good. The only way to get the tasty and yeasty bread rolls with honey butter is from your server, plus they bring beverage refills. Our service was great, never lacked for rolls or beverages. Some entrees are definitely better than others. Highly suggest trying small amounts looking for what your tastebuds are craving. The quality of the food is fair to good. The hushpuppies, sliders, mashed potatoes and meatloaf were my favorite for the day. Did not partake of the desert bar, but soft serve ice cream, pies and cakes are on the menu. They have several entrees and desert for children tastes. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean with plenty of clean plates available for multiple trips to the buffet. Again this is a buffet, but in some circumstances may fit your dining needs. read more

I like Golden Corral. Their grilled steak is delicious and tastes better than most of the steak houses in town. They have plenty of the things I like to eat including sautéed mushrooms and a large selection of steamed vegetables. The salad bar and desert bars are also very good. read more

While this one was "clean" in a sense, it smelled like HORRIBLE sewage on the left side of the building, like you're inside of a port-a-potty so I subtracted a star. When I was getting my salad, there was an ant in the spinach, so I subtracted one more. And lastly, all the desserts just looked a tad underdone and sort of "melty" so I subtracted another. The place was mid. A family of 5 adults cost about $110, including "cash back". Which apparently to the cashier, who seemed like he just started working which is no biggie, means how much actual cash would you like to give to your server. They charge you the tip, then how ever much you say you want, they'll give you that amount in cash. Kinda confusing especially if you haven't been to a Golden Corral before. Anyway, the food was 2.5 star quality. Some foods like the hard shell taco was inedible according to my bro who couldn't even eat one bite since the "meat" was so depressing. The other foods were really really sad for the price paid. But their desserts, specifically the brownies were soooo good I woulda gotten more than 2 if I had a bigger stomach. Great service though I'll give them that. The guy with glasses was coming back to us asking if we needed anything and was very polite when we needed a refill. Took my family to Golden Corral in St George, UT, while the food was good the service was terrible. No server ever came to clear our table as we finished with plates or to refill our drinks. Two servers walked past our table several times to clean other people empty dishes but not once did they stop at ours. Don't go here. Go down the street to Chuck a Rama. We were not in the mood to cook and didn't want to wait for food so figured a buffet would be the fastest route with three little ones. We arrived around 7pm and were "greeted" after a minute or so. I thought it was closed because all the front lobby lights were off. Gentleman that came to help us had zero personality and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Second person at the register was a little friendlier, but that honestly didn't take much. Got our drinks and found a table, took the kids to grab plates. I seriously grabbed 4 dirty plates before I found a clean one. This was seriously a big indication of how things were going to go and I should have run. Kids look around and can't stop staring at the cotton candy. The dessert bar is quite enticing. All the other food was not appetizing at all. I honestly didn't see one thing that made me excited to eat there. They don't even have rolls out to grab, your server has to bring them to you. We all get our plates and I'm sitting there staring at what I'm about to eat with trepidation because this just doesn't look like a good idea. I nibble on a little bit of everything. Kids of course eat noodles and fruit thank God. They are just biding their time until I release them to the desserts. Finally I cave because I don't want them to eat any of the other food. We get up there and the ice machine is broken, ice cream machine is a complete mess and quite honestly I wanted to tell them I would take them to DQ. They had no toppings for the ice cream. When you walk in they advertise gummy bears and icee so of course I now have 3 angry kids under the age of 8. I let them go crazy on the rest. We get to the table and the rice crispy bars are completely stale. They liked the chocolate cake and cotton candy. Thank god I paid $60 for cotton candy and a few bites of cake. Then to top it off, I wake up the following morning not feeling so well. Make it to work and regret that immediately and head back home where I dealt with food poisoning all day. Came here as part of a large group, and was unfortunate enough to sample a few things from the buffet. Before I get into those mistakes, the atmosphere and interior of the restaurant was tired, sloppy, and needed a full cleaning and perhaps a remodel. Even if the food was fantastic, it was clear to me that the restaurant needed a lot of help. Sadly, the food wasn't fantastic. What I ate: Chips - 3/5 these were tortilla chips, picked because they looked inoffensive. They were edible, clearly from a bag but that's a compliment for this place. "Homestyle stuffing" - 1/5 I don't know who's home or who's style this was from, but my sad scoop was an inedible salt bomb. Do not eat this. Pico De Gallo - 1.5/5 the poster board on the wall advertised how this salsa never came out of a jar, but it would have probably been better if it did. Somehow, this fresh Mexican salsa lacked any flavor or texture that a good version would. Onion rings - 3/5 these were average, nothing really to say. Grilled onions carefully taken from the beef live (why do they have beef liver)? - Don't Coconut Cream Pie - 1/5 tasted just like sunscreen, and the meringue topping was terrible and lacked any of the joy a true meringue has. Skip this place and go anywhere else, there are some options in the plaza and those are open skip your meal. read more

If I could give zero stars I would if u are traveling through St.George utah please don not I repeat don't not spend your money here. First off the chicken was pink inside. Secondly then sever asked if I needed a refill on my soda I nicely asked her to give me a plastic cup. Because after drinking the soda half way down I notice the cup was nasty dirty. When I asked for the cup she told me she would have to charge me for the cup. I asked why my cup is dirty. She told me well I suggest u ask for a plastic cup when u pay in the beginning mind u my cup was dirty they are making me pay to have a clean cup. So then she goes to ask the manager if I could get a plastic cup then brings a 6oz plastic cup kids size cup can't make this up. But she brought it when I wasn't at the table. So when I sit back down I tell my friend not that was petty frfr I paid 2.95$ for a dirty cup of cherry coke. So n e ways I asked to speak to the manager mind u she is sitting down with some guy at the table just talking to some guy stealing company time. But she seen me doing the survey I was type the website in and she flipped out on me she said u need to get ur receipt and get out of my store immediately!!!! So I sat there finishing bringing up the survey. And she calls the cops like I did something wrong. I didn't do anything but ask for a clean cup for my soda. We got up. Started walking out. She is follow us from the table to the door I felt highly uncomfortable. Because we didn't do anything wrong but want a clean cup for the soda. Then she Tried to follow me to my car. July 31st Monday Lunch time. My wife went in line to pay for our group of 19. While she tried to pay a tour bus people came in and went in line, so it was a very long line. Apparently this supposed to be so called manager THOMAS stopped my wife's transaction with the other cashier because he wanted our group to go behind the tour group even though my wife was there first. This THOMAS manager told us to fall in line or GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! He was so unprofessional and did not know how to handle customer etiquette. And told us to go eat somewhere else. We went with our friends to the Golden Corral and we were not disappointed because we had the choice of various meals to eat. It was wonderful to sample a little bit of everything.
