I have only been to a couple LongHorn Steakhouses when we have traveled so we decided to go there in St. George, Utah while visiting the area. I had the sirloin steak with a baked potato and house salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, potato was delicious and I ordered the blue cheese dressing on the side and it was excellent. Too many times have I ordered blue cheese dressing and it is really just ranch! Their dressing actually had chunks of blue cheese in it. My husband got the filet with a fully loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. He loved his whole meal and wanted me to mention how good the croutons were. 99% of the time he picks them off. 1st time visiting a Longhorn Steakhouse as there is not one in San Diego. Restaurant floor was littered with trash as we were shown to our seats. Waiter was attentive to start, but got distracted by a neighboring table and once he took our order we did not see him again until he dropped off the check. We had lunch and the food was just ok. The bread had zero flavor. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and side salad, while my husband had the parmesan crusted chicken and side salad. The appetizer was the best part (Texas Tonion). It took 30 minutes to get our food, and two tables that ordered after us got their food faster. Maybe the chicken takes longer to prepare. My husband's baked potato was cold, so maybe it wasn't served as quickly as it should have been. The atmosphere was nice and our server was nice as well. Prices were pretty much to be expected. Five stars is for the St. George location only. The St. George location is great - delicious food and friendly staff. I will be going back. Not so for the one in Las Vegas - food was so salty that we couldn't eat it. The atmosphere was totally unfriendly - greeters and assistant manager were very condescending. And - it was a graduation celebration for my granddaughter! At least her food was edible. I ordered filet and my daughter ordered pork chops, which were so salty we had to send them back. Came in about an hour before closing and sat at the bar. There were only a few parties in the dining area. The bar was nice and clean with every seat having a clear view to the tv. The bartender recommended the steak and lobster over the ribeye. The steak was cooked to perfect and didn't need anything to complement the flavor! The lobster was cooked to perfection. I would only suggest maybe a side of melted butter for the lobster. The only reason I am giving four stars because the restaurant was out of house bread. Not our first time here. Longhorn is always a place we think of when deciding where to eat. Tonight was good but not great. Everything was cooked as requested except all of our steaks were way over seasoned. It was a bit over the top. Had the cooks lightened up in the seasoning it would have been perfect. My husband and I took our son and his girlfriend to dinner for their birthdays. The food is always good and we have always enjoyed our meals there. That night my husband ordered 1/2 rack of ribs with 1/2 chicken plate. He was charged double as if he had ordered a full rack with a full chicken plate. Today my girlfriend and I went to longhorn steakhouse for the very first time. My waitress name was Emily and I highly recommend her if you ever go. She brought us multiple refills quickly and got our appetizer and entrees out quickly which was great. For our appetizer we got the Parmesan crusted fries which was our favorite! 10/10. The wheat bread and butter we got was good. Besides the butter being a little frozen still was overall good. I got the cheeseburger lunch special with fries which was a 7/10. My girlfriend got a salad which she'd also rate a 7/10. The atmosphere was amazing very clean and neat place. I'd rate our experience a 7.8/10. Good place I'd recommend eating. read more

I don't know why other reviews are complaining about the waitlist! It's not a reservation and it even says that on the website?? We did the waitlist and had no problems at all. The whole process was smoothly and we have no complaints about it! We were told 50-60 minutes from the time we put our name on and that was how long we waited. The service was fantastic. The restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was great. The wheat bread was nice a warm. The butter melted quickly on the bread because the bread was fresh out of the oven. It was great to snack on before getting our food. I got the strawberry salad as my side salad and it was super fresh! The dressing was a great addition and complimented the fresh fruit very nicely. I loved the candied nuts as well. I would definitely order that salad again! The filet was absolutely delicious and melted in your mouth. It was cooked perfectly. It was so flavorful. Definitely one of the best filets I've had! The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. I really enjoyed them. Great experience night and delicious food. Will definitely be back! read more

Visited LongHorn while traveling for work and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. We ordered the LongHorn steak, the LH cheese burger and their stuffed mushrooms. It was all cooked to perfection and really good! I got a side of broccoli with my order expecting it just to be steamed but it was also pretty flavorful! The steak was delicious, great portions. Several months ago, the folks who seat customers stacked them one after another in a row near the entrance and against the windows without consideration of where the customers wanted to seat. Went to Longhorn Steakhouse as a treat on our trip in St. George. The waitlist was pretty efficient as I registered online at the Longhorn website and it was about a 40-50 min wait at 5 PM. Service was prompt and friendly and the steaks were delicious (chose the Outlaw Ribeye), albeit a little over seasoned since it was a bit too salty. And the iconic complementary Longhorn bread and butter is the best! Only flaws were that this Longhorn didn't have butter knives for the bread, so had to use the steak knife to cut the bread as well as apply the butter. read more

I was excited to try this new (to St George) steakhouse. As with anything new, when they first open it is bombarded with people just as excited to try it out. The first two times I came, I chose not to stay with how busy they were. It is to be expected opening a new restaurant to have long wait times, and be gracious as staff are learning the new systems. I came on a Monday afternoon as they opened by myself to test it out. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye, crispy Brussel sprouts (up charge) and loaded potato soup (also an up charge.) The potato soup was hot and tasty 4.5/5 The crispy Brussels were decent, but the crispy ness was dampened by the sauce. I have had crispy Brussels with the sauce on the side to avoid this mishap at other restaurants. 3.5/5 Ribeye was cooked to my liking, however it was super thin, to look appealing on the plate I assume. I would prefer a thicker cut and smaller diameter to retain the tenderness and moistness. Also the presentation was lacking. It was not seared well and had no grill/char marks as their professional photos present. Flavor was okay but not as "enthusiastically seasoned" as was represented by the waitstaff. 3/5 Service was top notch and had many friendly staff and managers check on me. 5/5 Overall I will be back, but I was not blown away. My neighbors, wife and I went to Longhorns Sunday evening. We arrived at about 5 pm. This was a first for my wife and I. We were seated and was soon greeted by our server. The seat seemed to have a bit of a divot and could have been better padding, but minor nuisance. My neighbors ordered steak and shrimp, my wife a fillet and I baby back ribs. A salad of Romaine and mixed greens was served along with a loaf of whole wheat bread. A larger portion of butter, which was woefully insufficient for 4 guests. Our entrees arrived and they were delicious. My ribs were fall off the bone good and tasty, but not as meaty in comparison to local BBQ restaurants. Everyone's steak was prepared perfectly, while the shrimp were also tasty. All in all, I would say we will be back. 4 stars only because the seat padding issue, which was really minor, and the ribs could have been meatier. read more

We visited this restaurant in March with 3 other couples. Food - was better than expected. Service - was okay. I felt it was a bit rushed, I know it is hard to find the appropriate balance between attention and hovering to get an order placed but this clearly seemed to be a restaurant more interested in flipping tables than to have customers enjoy a properly paced dinner. If you want to socialize with your friends, enjoy a beverage before dinner and have a relaxing dinner, then this is probably not the place for you. We were there with three other couples. We arrived with another couple to meet our friends who arrived 5 to 10 minutes before we did. As soon as we sat down the waiter wanted to know what we wanted to drink (he did it in a way that suggested that we were behind schedule and needed to make a beverage order before "now" even before social interactions and greetings with our friends. I think we were in and out with all things considered in less than an hour and a half. Our waiter was a little impatient, first he wanted to take a beverage order and was a bit stand offish when we asked about beverages. As soon as that was done he was "ready" to take our order even before we had much of a chance to look at the menu. Then, when we asked about dinner choices, sides and salads he was short and pointed to where on the menu we could see different choices. Ambiance - very loud and noisy, lots of hard surfaces that noise just resonated to a steady roar. It was hard to carry on a conversation with our friends at our table that was kind of in the middle of the restaurant. We were seated at a table more suitable for a party of 6 than for 8. With a water glass, beverage glass, salad plates, main and side dishes it was hard to find a spot to put anything down. Back to the wait staff, he seemed more comfortable with plunking down our meals rather than to first clear first course plates and then squeeze in sides and entrees wherever there was kind of open spot. Back to the food - it was served hot or cold as it was supposed to be. Portions we good size, cooked to the desired doneness. The price was very reasonable given today's ever increasing costs. So, it is not for everyone. Not sure it is on our list for a repeat visit, despite good food at a reasonable price, it was too loud, too rushed, to compacted, to impersonal, etc. read more

Never had a dish that wasn't prepared well and fresh. The salmon is always tender and flavorful and love the selection of generous portions of veggies. Staff is friendly and efficient with an occasional hick-up which happens at every eating establishment. Decor is decent and place has a good vibe; don't pay attention to complainers, as they usually automatically dislike chains or expect everything to be 'perfect' every time. This restaurant is spot on for its decor, southwestern motif, saddles, cowboy boots, horns, bull skulls. Only the music is off, rock and roll in lieu of country western. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Service is fast, friendly and drinks refills appear before your first was is empty. The warm loaf of bread is a great start with butter, however I prefer Texas Roadhouse's bread rolls with their whipped honey butter. It's a challenge to cut the loaf of bread with the unwieldy knife that give you, it's just way too big and dull. You end up using its serrated edge to saw a piece off. For lunch, I ordered the 1/2 pound burger, it was delicious. The patty is big enough to get a great medium rare center with great flavor. The side salad with blue cheese dressing was good, the dressing had many chunks of blue cheese. The fries were good as well, especially with their fry sauce, thousand island dressing with special spices. The meal fell short with the ribs. The ribs are over sauced, I prefer to taste the rib meat not just the sauce. They over grilled the ribs creating a very hard brittle along the top and edge of the ribs. The meat does fall off the bone and the meat is tender underneath the hardened layer. When Texas Roadhouse is open for Lunch they offer their full menu including prime rib, LongHorn has a more limited Lunch menu. read more
