I am in the area and found this Rib & Chop House oasis. Not only are the staff and waiters great, but the food was exceptionally delicious. Our fantastic waitress Mylene told us about the daily specials and she did a wonderful job with the flavor descriptions and entree highlights. Mylene brought me a refill of my tea before I could ask :-). Mylene was great! I will return to this place for the grilled fish and flavor infused chicken. This particular visit I had the t-bone pork chop with carrot soufflé while my wife had the 15 oz NY strip with potatoes au gratin Service is always good, food always delicious Pork chop was cooked perfectly medium and was so tender and delicious My wife wasn't going to get the strip cause she didn't think she'd eat it all but I told her to get it figured I'd be able to have a little. Wrong, she chowed the whole thing. You had choice of soup or salad so I got the salad while the wife got the bison chili Something got messed up and all the food came out together. How do you mess up a simple cocktail? For the last night in St. George, we decided to go to one of my parents' favorite places. The food is great. Based on that alone, I would give this place a 5, but unfortunately, everything else was below par. The service was slow, as was every other restaurant in St. George. I ordered a Manhattan, and lo and behold, I received some type of smoked old fashioned. When I asked for a new one, Dom, our waiter, said, "Sure, but you'll probably just get the same thing." That surprised me, and I was like, "Go talk to the bartender and see if they can make it." But Dom was pretty certain that, I'd get the same thing. So I ordered something else, and it came out fine. Dom, while new, was not a very good waiter and could use some more training in customer service and in cocktails. His attitude completely ruined the night. read more

I've ate here twice before this and had very good experiences. Not this time, we got seated quickly and ordered drinks, ice tea for me and a cocktail for her. Our waitress seemed impaired to be honest. She brought my iced tea and totally blew off her cocktail. We ordered food and when the food came we had to ask about her cocktail, and got a very a confused look. She went to the bar and came back a bit later with her cocktail AFTER we had already finished eating. Natalie, our server, helped make our dining experience top tier with her friendliness and attention to detail. If we ever pass through here again, we will ask to be seated at her table. We went for lunch and were seated quickly. The waiter was nice and got some sliced apples early on for my toddler to try and keep her occupied. Our food came out quickly. I got shrimp and chicken tenders. I was a little disappointed it only came with 2 chicken tenders, but they were nice and juicy. The fried shrimp that it came with were delicious also. I loved how it wasn't overly breaded. My sister got the blackened fish tacos and she liked them. She said she would give it a 3.5/5. Good, but not super flavorful. So I was staying in St. George for work, my hotel was right next-door to ribs and chop. So I thought I'd give it a try. I saw that they have elk, I've never had it and have always wanted to try it so I gave it a try. When I arrived, I was greeted quickly by the hostess and the manager. I was seated in the bar, which I was OK with waitress came by. I ordered my elk and came with two sides. I took a Caesar salad and a carrot soufflé. The first Caesar salad that came to me was pathetic. The dish in which it came in was warm and the salad itself was wilting and was brown. The managing he by saw that I hadn't eaten. It asked me what the problem was. I explained to him he wasn't happy. He told me he would bring me a new one. He brought me a new one. The plate was ice cold the lettuce was fresh and cold. This one was edible. I received my entrée and I have to say the elk was very good however, I noticed that on the backside of the sliced elk, it looked like they had put it into a sauté plan to warm up the steak as the steak wasn't very warm the cream spinach was excellent. However, the carrot soufflé was anything but a carrot soufflé. It was so sweet from the added brown sugar that when the waitress asked me if I wanted a dessert, I told her I already had it with the carrot soufflé, the ambience of the place is very nice. You feel like you're in a lodge in the mountains. Overall, I didn't think the food was all that good for the price that they are charging. People at work were surprised at what I had told them as they told me that the food there has always been very good, who knows maybe I was at an off night read more

But as we left that evening, we noticed that the patio was kind of rad. Plus, you can bring your dog. We knew we would be back. Any place that allows you to have your pet on the patio while you eat an amazing steak is my kind of place. The ambience on the patio is so good. We brought our dog the second time, and Lucky just had the BEST day. And they were totally understanding that he was being a little bit of a weirdo as he lurched through the restaurant door on his way to the patio, so they earned extra stars for that. I felt bad for my very nice server, but he just doesn't seem like he really understands the importance that a well-timed glass of quality wine served with someone's food - actually juuuuust before the food arrives - makes a meal that much better. One drinks wine with their food, not after. After waiting over an hour on the beautiful patio for our dinner order, we only got a glass of wine because we reminded him as he served our food. It took an additional 15 to 20 minutes after my entree had been served, and it looked like it had been sadly plopped into an unpolished water cup, and was just kind of gross to drink. I guess this is the kind of place that figures wine exists to get drunk on, and not to enhance food. I still like the food here because the cuts of meat are amazing, and the sides are fresh prepared. When am I going to learn my lesson. I need to start looking at reviews before I eat at restaurants. I ordered a filet mignon medium and it came almost well. The beautiful waitress who was wonderful had it re-ordered and it came back medium rare on a sizzling plate so instead of returning it, because my husband was almost done with his meal, I just finished cooking the filet mignon on the plate in the greasy butter. I really wanted the pork chop, especially since the place is called chops and they were already out of them at 7 PM. The service was great, but I would not recommend this restaurant and feel bad for the servers who have to serve this chef's food. read more

All of our meat was not cooked properly. They don't get medium rare. Lamb chops arrived shamefully well done. Filet was raw. Burger undercooked, but our 11-year old son was so starving he ate 1/2 the raw burger before he gagged on it. On the re-do of the steak, rather than cooking a fresh piece of meat, they burned my previous one crispy well done. This is our 2nd time at this chain restaurant. Our first time was in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We came at dinner time so it was busy. But not busy enough to walk away. The lobby was spacious, so we could see a few available tables. My wife saw that there was a booth available in the lounge area, so she asked the hostess if we could sit there. Without hesitation, she said,'It's yours', and we were seated right away. Our waitress (Beyonce) was excellent. As busy as she was, we never felt abandoned. I ordered the Lamb Chops only to find there was a menu change, and that item was dropped. I was disappointed but still hungry. We made our order, Grabbers and Jambalaya, and we were not disappointed. We had a party of 5 and we were seated quickly on the patio. We got a table next to the blazing fire pit. One of the servers turned it off, thankfully. They didn't have any blinds outside so half of our party were blinded and sweaty. Our server was SLOW! Three other tables arrived after us but all got their food before us. We loved going here but the last two times have been disappointed. My husband and I like to split the chicken fried chicken. We order an extra salad and an appetizer. Our chicken had so much breading on it and tasted really greasy. We both picked it off. Our waitress was really forgetful and we had to remind her of things. After driving 7 hours in from AZ, we were starved! Saw this place after we checked into our Marriott hotel down the street and figured it would be good. Drinking through Saint George this place was next to the hotel I was staying at so I gave it a try. When you walk in one side of the restaurant is the bar area with tvs and the other is for a nice sit down diner area. Restaurant was very nice. Staff was very friendly was greeted when I walked in which was really nice. My server was very friendly and professional. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were great. For my entre I ordered the seafood Alfredo that came with choice of salad or soup. It was a little to hot for soup so I got a salad with ranch dressing I also ordered desert the carrot cake which I took back to my room but I have to say that it was really good.
