We went to the hibachi side at Sakura and had such a fun night! definitely recommend making a reservation because it gets busy. While we were waiting, there's this interactive fish floor in the lobby that moves when you step on it, so of course there were kids stomping all over it It was actually really entertaining, but it does give more of a lively, family-friendly vibe than a quiet date night. Once we sat down, everything felt a little more special. The servers were dressed in Japanese-style robes, and then the food came out... SO good. Everything was super flavorful and not dry at all. The filet was juicy, tender, and not chewy in the slightest (which is rare!). Also....there was literally a robot rolling around singing "shots shots shots," which just added to the whole vibe Overall, such a fun experience. We dined here recently. They do not take reservations on weekends or holidays so you have to go in and put in a manual reservation with them. We went on a Friday evening and our wait time was around 35 minutes around 6 PM. Our wait time was almost spot on! Definitely arrive early as parking is scarce. Customer service is fantastic at this location. We were seated in the server wasn't notified for a while. Multiple associates came to our table, apologizing for the delay, and they even took money off of our bill automatically. Food was standard "Americanized"sushi. My husband pointed out how nice their marketing materials are, quality napkins, and branded carry-out bags with a wet wipe! read more

We already love Sakura. Every time we go we have enjoyable staff and good decor. The food is amazing and quick to arrive. We felt like our table was well cared for. The duck curry was a little spicy for my husband, but he still loved the flavor. I always get the duck and noodles and it's amazing. Chicken pad Thai is fabulous as well. We will always recommend it. I love this place! We've been there a couple times, but our family has been there more often. They live in Ivins and bring us here on vacation. The bartender, Bailey is awesome. The waitress Kaitlyn is so hospitable and super sweet. We connected with them so much, and it made our experience exponentially better. They said tonight the waitress would be 45-60 min, and they seated us within 25 min. We love the robots that deliver food, and Bella the robot even sang happy birthday to my brother in law. It's super worth the experience. I haven't done Hibachi there, but some of my family have, and they loved it!!! read more

This place is hopping, came to celebrated our anniversary and really enjoyed the service and complimentary dessert. They had generous portions of fish and it was fresh and tasty, sadly the rice was really subpar. Maybe they don't get to many sushi connoisseurs here. Sakura has always been a great place to eat but wow they have stepped up their game at this location!! The moment you walk on the property the ambiance and warm welcoming is amazing Outside the Sakura "pink cherry blossom trees" lighten the sky and directly to your right is a little koi pond! Upon walking in there are fish (electronic) pond below your feet swimming around and staff ready to help welcome to seat you at the tables. Four of us went for lunch for the first time. We had no expectations. Cool granite sculptures outside, along with a koi pond. Inside boasted a groovy fish tank. We opted to dine in the hibachi room. We were served by attentive wait staff & a hibachi chef. Very entertaining. The food was good. The food robot was a bit of a shock, but because it looked "kitty" I was sucked into the robot cuteness. For the food, the adult beverages & the entertaining cooking method I give them an "A". We had a great time & it was a refreshing change from the typical St. George restaurant. First impression--the building is big and beautiful. The front doors have carved metal tree limbs and there is a huge sensory pad on the floor with fish, coins and other objects to stomp. The parking lot was tricky since it was a crowded group for lunch. Several people parked on the street. Neighboring businesses had signs stating their lots were not for Sakura and cars would be towed. Not very welcoming. The parking lot and even a parking garage are in the back of the building so you have to approach from the south side. Kind of confusing. They had plenty of benches outside and in the foyer where customers could wait for a table or hibachi station. Our group asked for a quiet table so we could talk, but the restaurant was full so they put us at a hibachi station even though we were far apart from people on the other side and it was very noisy. Disappointed. Our server was efficient but didn't refill drinks. The manager (Jeann?) stopped by several times to ask about our dining experience. Okay, now for the most important thing--the food. I ordered teriyaki steak with brown rice, sautéed mushrooms and onions. There were two nice sauces for the tender meat; ginger was my favorite. Sadly this fell short for us in every way. First off, the place is BUSY, I mean REALLY busy. No reservations, so be prepared for a wait. They even have their own tiered parking garage. No kidding I contacted business two days prior to our arrival, hoping to get an answer on what was available gluten free. No response, so that should have been my first sign to avoid. The server had absolutely no clue about GF, she served me items (several) that I knew couldn't be GF, and thankfully I didn't eat, most items I would have her confirm with the back and sure enough they weren't GF. I am a celiac, and this is a problem. It could be Simple things such as soy sauce possibly in the dipping sauces, etc. The hibachi chef was clueless about allergy as well, and kept trying to flick gluten items in my mouth. He was confused, but none the less it was a stressful situation. That wasn't our only issue, but one I wanted to mention for those that suffer with a serious allergy. AVOID! read more

Love the vibe here. Loud and fun. It seemed to be homecoming night and it was a Saturday night so w would've had to wait ages for a table or hibachi-side, so we opted for the bar. Still took almost a half hour but it was worth it. Some of the best sushi we have had. Spicy edamame was definitely that! All of the rolls were fantastic - huge slices and overall serving sizes were great. Lots of leftovers. Bartender was very friendly. The takeout container could use some work - cheapie styrofoam that don't stay closed well. But they give you a really nice reusable bag for them that makes up for it! (First world problem). Thanks to the floor art at the entrance, we couldn't cleanly walk in and had to step over 10 unattended children when we quickly decided to leave. Cannot contribute in areas of food and service, but the "ambiance" is perfect - if you're exhausted parents unleashing your offspring on the public to wear them down before bedtime. We come here for every special occasion we are celebrating. We visited Sakura over the weekend and our server Eric was exceptional. He was very courteous, friendly and patient. I will definitely ask to be seated in his area in the future. The atmosphere is a lot of fun and kids and adults all like to play the game on the floor when you walk in. They have a well taken care of fish tank in the lobby and this place is awesome for a nice night out. On to the food: I had vegetable hibachi, spring rolls, avocado rolls, noodles and fried rice. Beautiful building and impressive space but please stop insisting your hostesses wear those silly silky robes. Our server seemed attentive although one of our sides was wrong. Decided it wasn't worth mentioning to the server though. Food was fine but the two out of the three of us who wanted Mexican that night felt cheated. The one in the party who was dieing to eat here ended up paying for everyone's meal as an apology. If you go, arrive early for the lunch or dinner service hours so you don't have to wait for an insanely long time to be seated. read more

Excellent service. We went for late lunch on a Friday and were seated immediately. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was very good except for the beef was a bit chewy. I would try the shrimp for protein next time. Our server did a good job of checking on us without being overly attentive. From the outside this looks to be a huge building but inside it is pretty chopped up. The small room we were seated in was very noisy and impossible to carry on a conversation. They need to install some sound deadening panes. We felt that we would return and hopefully be seated in a different area that wasn't so loud. read more

Please ask for help from an individual that knows how to manage a high demand establishment. Brand new building and food quality is great, however it's a horrible pre-dining experience. Doesn't make any sense.... Beautiful brand new building but what's the point when it's not that much space more than before. Always busy and outrageous wait. What a waste of space, the layout makes no sense and the bar is a complete joke. I actually laughed when I saw it. If your bigger than the average adult don't go to the bar area(10 seats). What is the point of building a new place with no better way to handle the customer demand... I don't know what they where thinking. The food is good but it's not worth the wait and trying to find a place to park... even the other guests in the restaurant thought it was a joke. read more
