Pretty good place if you want a easy birthday party. Let the kids run around and play games until the food comes, eat, watch the Chuck E. song and dance, eat some cake, and leave. I have not been to a Chuck E Cheese since college (before I was old enough for Dave & Busters), but I came a couple of weeks ago with some friends that had rugrats and was very disappointed in the place. About half of the games were out of service...at least skee ball was working, but then again, only 3 of the 6 lanes were working. The place was a mess, when we got there we had to clear our own table off before sitting down because we could not find any available tables. Thank goodness for baby wipes! One star for the pleasant service when ordering our food. One star for skee ball. If that wasn't working, they would have a lot of explaining to do. I don't see myself coming back to this Chuck E Cheese (or any other for that matter) in the near future since I don't have any kids, but if you are thinking of going, I would call them up and see what is out of order. read more

I don't think this facility deserves less than a three. Some people are not being fair with their reviews. Went here a few weeks ago on a weeknight, I had a coupon for 1 large 1 topping pizza, 3 drinks, and 50 tokens for $21.99, that was a pretty sweet deal. And the pizza was big enough for 2 adults and 3 kids, with left overs. They improved their pizza quality slightly, so it's not as bad anymore. Go get a little ranch from the salad bar, peppers & cheese and BAM!! You are good to go The salad bar was very clean, and the employees were all very attentative (?spelling). There is a lady with short dark hair, I think she is the manager, she seems to care about the customers and is always very plesant every time I have been there. I think this is one of the better Chuck E Cheese's in the bay area. Unfortunately, they can't choose their customers, and should not be held responsible for other parent's bad attitudes or bad parenting. If you can't watch your kids, and take responsibility for their actions, or discipline them properly, maybe you shoudn't have kids. Chuck E Cheese!!!!!!!!! This is my first time coming here EVER. Took my BF's neice here for a day of fun! and to avoid the heat wave that suddenly hit the Bay Area a couple weeks ago. sigh, I felt like a big ass kid.. lol. We came here on a Friday after noon (2PM) praying that it wouldnt be crazy crowded, and it wasn't! actually there was barely anyone there. lol. The kiddie section was nice, everything was pretty clean, nothing was super sticky icky. lol. His neice loved the mini carousel! I love the fact that every game was only 1 token!! I didn't eat any of the food, but melting cheese always smells wonderful,but it looked really greasy.. ekk. I'll probably try to find a healthier option before or after our adventure there... Because we love our children. You'll need a party reservation else you'll be hunting for a table. Long lines for amusement park pizza. They do offer a little variety if you want anything but pizza. There are ticket redemption games, arcade games, very small rides such as mini-carousel, and of course the human-gerbil maze. All parents and children are stamped with matching numbers coming in and inspected walking out. There is no admission. I brought 90 kids here for a party for work and its a easy way to entertain that many kids with out worry if they are lost or not. With the door monitor to control who comes and goes I am comfortable with all the kids running around in Chuck E Cheese. They'll spend some time eating pizza and watching the Chuck and his friends, then they'll blow all their tokens on the game to win cheap prizes, and finally they'll play in the playground for about an hour with their friends. I am so impressed with this Chuck E Cheese location. Since the second we walked in the door tonight we have had nothing but the best service. We were greeted but a friendly girl as our 4 kids came running in the door to celebrate our 7 year olds Birthday. The guy at the register where we ordered our pizza was so super nice! (Kamren) and the manager Shay even went to another store nearby to get lemons for the beer I ordered. Brian the other manager was joking with my son, the birthday boy and even gave him a few extra tokens for this special day. I mean the staff here is just AMAZING! Confession: I despise the place, the "pizza," and the singing rodent - having said that, I must also confess that my children LOVE the place (must get that genetic imperfection from their father.) I do, however, love the fact that I can make the kids work like dogs in order to "earn" a trip to the rodent palace- and you know I exploit that opportunity to the hilt! Do whatever it takes to go on a weekday between 2 & 5 pm when the majority of screaming brats will be your own. I have heard of Chuck E Cheese's before, but I never actually played in one as a child either. haha My parents never took me to places like Chuck E Cheese's like some other children have. I made a deal with my son, one week ago, IF he stayed dried for 1 week overnight, he would be rewarded. A day short and he had a bed accident, but he had gone 7 days straight without wetting himself at night (he's 4). His father and I agreed that our son earned his reward to Chuck E Cheese's so I took him between 1pm to 3pm. Let's just say, we had a blast!! When we arrived, the place was crowded with parents and their children, but after an hour went by, the place was dead, which was a bit lonely. haha One mother, she was busy playing this one game where 6-8 blue balls rolls down hill and in front of you lays this flat, brown, smooth surface, which you roll the ball hard as so it would go into one of the numbers starting with 0, 1,000, 3,000 and so on. Well, this young mother was so busy playing, she had forgotten her toddler son (3-4yrs of age) elsewhere in the room so one of the employees with the special light were able to reunite the son and his mother together. Unbelievable and so unfortunate to have parent(s) as such. I made sure my son was with me at ALL times and we just enjoyed ourselves. My son enjoyed the shooting game with the Torpedoes and Military ships going by, he loved the Bob the Builder ride with the yellow tractor, Stuart Little ride with the red car and he was able to accumulate 356 tickets!! But, it was Thanks to the Male stranger, who was a father of another child and he was giving out bulks of tickets to unsuspecting mothers and their children for free (basically sharing), which was nice of him. If you are reading this, "Thank You for your kindness and I hope many positive acts of kindness goes your way. Maybe, win the Mega Millions Jackpot or something." haha The guy deserved it and made many parents/their children happy!! My favorite game was the Deal or No Deal game. haha My poor son had to watch me play 3 rounds of it. Rofl At the very end, my son was able to get the prizes he wanted. :) I actually had this young lady put random items adding up to 365 into the bag and my son, he likes everything. haha Before leaving Chuck E Cheese, the staff was good about using her special light to make sure the adult was leaving with the right child by shinning on our arms, which the Security was good here!! As for food/drink, I'm not sure since I didn't buy anything to eat/or drink. We did spend $20.50 ALL on tokens so that was fun. Oh, there's a picture on file with Yelp where you can feed the ticket machine, which at the very end spits out a receipt for you to take it up to the front to pick out your prizes.That's a pretty good update compared to the machines back in the 90's. (We had a party yesterday, but wanted to do something on the actual day.) from the second we walked in the door, the girl seemed less than enthused to see us. Didn't even say anything to us. Just told us to stick our arms out. We get to the counter to place our pizza order and to get a game card. Again, the girl seemed less than enthused to help us. It's like every employee in this place couldn't be bothered. They were more concerned with talking to each other on the radio than actually helping customers. The food is expensive and crappy. $8 for all-you-can eat cafeteria salad bar and large pizza is more like a medium pizza which taste like frozen crap you get at the grocery stores. Everything was set up on time, our food came out very fast, the salad bar was fully stocked, our hosts were GREAT! Very attentive, and on top of everything! Our hosts were Taleah and Trevor. If you are between the ages of 2-10 you will like this place. My 3 year old loves this place. That being said I will keep my review open minded. Pros: Fun games, new games added frequently, nice staff. The prizes are better than the ones at Superfranks and you get more bang for your buck with the tokens. Entry is free and most games are just one token.I had my sons 3rd birthday here and everything was on point - nothing went wrong, everyone had a blast. Ample parking. Easy to get to from 680/580. Compared to other Chuck E. Cheese's, this one is one of the better run ones. They have recently remodeled (taken down some walls and added some new games/rides). As it turns out, they also removed the toddler slide and play area which is a bummer for those of us with younger kids. The pizza is edible (I have not tried the salad bar or sandwiches so can't comment on those) and service is okay. I especially like coming here in the summer to escape the scorching 90+ degree weather we get here in the Tri-Valley. We've also been to Chuck E. Cheese for a few birthday parties and had a lot of fun. My son loves it here and would come here every day if it were up to him! read more

The staff is what makes this a worthwhile experience. Nothing like it was when we were growing up. The pizza then was comparable to a Round Table pie; now it's like Little Sleezers on its worst day. Fresh salad bar at least. Half of this location is filled with preschooler and toddler activity areas while the other half has a handful of video games, a digital picture booth and the good old ski ball area. Most games / activity centers award tickets that can be traded in for overvalued prizes (staff is generous in this regard with the little, little ones). Birthday parties throughout the week. Wow, the reviews for this place are terrible! My sister threw my niece's 5th birthday party here and reserved the little playroom to the left of the entrance. I like that their playroom was incorporated into the rest of the play area and not like a private dining room with walls and doors (it had a net-like separationthingy) - the kids were free to run around and there were even slides/rides in the room itself. The staff was very nice to all of us and the food is what it is. My biggest complaint is that it is very small here. There aren't many games, we were able to play all of the games we wanted to play which was basically all of them (except the rides). Other things that would have been nice is if Chuck E. Cheese himself made his way to my niece's play area, I saw him walking around the front stage area but he never came by to greet/hug my niece and it was her birthday. Her party made up about 1/3 of the restaurant, he could've come by. Overall, my family, my niece, and all of her friends had a fabulous time and plenty to eat. Not bad at all~ First time at Chuck E Cheese with my 19 month old daughter on a rainy week day. It was not very crowded but enough kids for them to interact. My daughter is afraid of riding things if it moves so I wasn't sure if she'll enjoy the place but a little gym structure worked out great for her. Chuck E Cheese brings back such good memories from my childhood so it was actually kind of fun to come back here last night for my best friends little brother's 4th birthday celebration. I don't have high expectations for this place considering it is a place for kids to have fun. The games are plentiful and the food is...well the food you'd expect of a child's game center - unhealthy and cheap. We got two pizzas - cheese and meat combo. It really wasn't horrible. It just tasted like pizza you would buy from the box and bake yourself. They have a salad bar too for those not keen on eating the pizza though it didn't very fresh. Would I return myself? Lots of parking out front, except maybe on weekends. Great place to have a birthday party, no cleaning up. Pizzas are just okay, more on the lower end of good pizzas. Nice arcade for the rugrats to play in, they have a wrist-band matching system for security. Can be a long wait if you don't have reservations or a party. Stay away from the salad bar (unless you go early), every litle kid has stuck their fingers into the dressings and condiments. A noisy and stimulating place that is not good if you have a headache or are prone to getting stressed from too much kid activity. Unfortunately, many parents tend to let their kids run wild in here. I would suggest eating somewhere else, either before or after you come here. Bottom line, kids LOVE the arcade and play structure and kids don't care how food tastes. Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of Chuck E Cheese since I was a little kid. So now that I have kids of my own, it was only natural to come here for the parties. We had reserved a small party of about 15 grownups and kids. We ordered a few pizzas and some drinks for everyone to share. I took over an hour for the food to come out. A large group that showed up 30 minutes after us was served first. When I asked about our food, one of the three pizzas was brought out. The other two showed up 15 minutes later. The whole ordeal was about $300 bucks. When the bill came, I looked to tip our server and there was nowhere to add the tip amount. I asked what to do and I was explained that they are only allowed to do cash tips. I asked to speak to the manager and the lady was clueless... she proceed to say that was their policy... I asked for an ATM and of course they did not have one. I ended up having to buy a single $.25 token to get money back to tip our poor server. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I don't think I will ever come back for any future parties. read more

It's been a while since we've been there and I did not know how the card system worked. Spoke to the manager to ask. He literally snickered at my question before answering it. When the kids were done playing we went to claim our prize. There were 2 employees, one made eye contact with us then continued chatting by the cash register, the manager was helping out another employee who was taking an order. Took a few minutes for someone to help us. The place was pretty empty being with it being close to when they closed so it was not busy. That wasn't the worst part. The kids and I have came home with some bug bites from whatever is in their carpet! I felt the first bite on my leg as I was waiting for the kids to spend their credit. This review is for their hosted birthday parties. We had our son's 7th birthday celebration there with a dozen or so of his friends. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. As 7-year-olds, they didn't complain about the pizza, and many of them had 2-3 slices. Their salad bar is a good option for adults who prefer an alternative. Their games are reasonable, mostly 1 or 2 pts (which pts is equivalent to tokens). Chuck E. Cheese, the place where creepy robots live on past my childhood nightmares! Oh just kidding, although...technology has improved quite a bit, I assumed they would have updated their gimmick a little...not so much. As an adult I make jokes, but my kids stare on curiously while they eat dinner and that is good enough for me. Despite the room full of games and excited children, it's a particularly peaceful meal we share at Chuck E. Cheese. This establishment is stocked full of super friendly staff. When you walk in with your kids, you're greeted and stamped with a matching number (to your children) that glows under a black light. (Okay, so every Chuck E. Cheese does this for as far back as I can remember...but this place really does check the stamp on the way out!) Not something I have seen since abductions were deeply feared in the 90's. I definitely appreciate the little bit of freedom I can give my small kids without worrying they are going to sneak out the door. The bathrooms are a problem though. Very, very messy. I can't actually imagine a bathroom at Chuck E. Cheese staying clean for more than 20 minutes at a time with the flow of small unaccompanied children though, but at least making sure all of the stalls are supplied with toilet paper is necessary. Another bummer is that a few of the games need to be replaced or repaired. Kids are monsters some days. Those are the days we bring them to Chuck E. Cheese. (For that I am sorry). Again, it makes sense that the games might be worn...but for the cost of the tokens cards I do actually want my kids to use them. As for the food, the salad bar looks nice, but i do come for the super cheesy overpriced pizza. I sincerely enjoy their pizza. They have many menu items and though service was a little slow for us, there is plenty to distract the kids from their hanger which gives me a m moment to relax. So this is the third time we have come here. Before it was our sons Bday, which they screwed up. Then last time, based on the last review was not good eithet. Now today.. Walked in, still had that musty and dirty smell. Went to the counter and the lady was just standing there. Didn't say anything, didn't acknowledge us, just stood there. We placed our order, which took 30 minutes to get a single topping pizza. The first two games, our son lost points on the card and the game was not playing. Went up to the counter with the same lady that took our pizza order to let her know about the games and she really did not say anything. Went to another lady and she apologized and said there wasn't anyone working on the floor. Did not even ask for a manager. At the end my son had points to turn in for prizes and nobody was at the prize counter. Same thing happened last time we were there. After one point there were 4 employees at the main counter and not one person looked over at the now 10 people waiting. My wife went and told the manager it's been about 10 minutes and nobody is helping the people at the prize counter. After delivering pizza, he finally came over along with the lady that doesn't talk much. The lady stood behind the prize counter in front of someone else who was there after us. Didn't ask who was next just stood there. We had to initiate things and say we were next. This was absolutely our worst experience with customer service. The lady at the counter should be let go as she obviously has no customer service experience and her attitude indicates she does not want to be there. They all had radios on them but none of them were calling anyone to assist in other areas. We would not recommend this place anymore to anyone. read more
