I wasn't impressed at all the staff is young and unprofessional. The countdown for chuck e to come out is useless because he never came out after the screenplay and when he finally came out he wasn't the as friendly. What was shocking was the police presence. I was Surprise to see only one machine out of order. The salad bar was neat but the lettuce was old and brown. I saw tables that hadn't been cleaned since i arrived and trash on the floor. So disappointed in the cleanliness of this restaurant. It's clear by the Employees more interested in texting on their cell phones that they do NOT care to clean tables or the floors here! Even when asking someone for help - they refer you back to someone else. I spent so much time walking around LOOKING for a clean table - that I would have been able to have salad before my pizza arrived. And let's talk about the policeman who is texting on his phone in a booth ignoring the lost children cries for help and other strange people standing around near the exit. This Chuck E. Cheese is not as good as the ones I have been to. The service is terrible and the staff is unorganized and unprofessional. The person in the Mouse costume may as well been life less. Not animated at all. No one on staff in the entire building is enthusiastic about their job positions all. The staff here should just be as if they are acting out a role to provide the necessary excitement to the children and parents that choose to be consumers here. If I could give Chuck E. Cheese ZERO stars, I would. Everything that could possible be wrong with a place like this, went wrong. It was dirty. Tables, floors, silverware, toys, bathrooms. It was loud. Super loud. Headache loud. Shouting to communicate loud. It was expensive. Over $200 for 8 kids and 10 adults. 10 adults who did nothing but sit and watch the kids. That's $25 a kid to "have fun" and eat horrible pizza. Speaking of pizza... The food sucks. Badly. Maybe not all Chuck E. Cheeses offer the world's most tasteless pizza, but this one does- for sure. Small pizzas with limited choice of toppings. Not much other things on the menu to choose from. Plus small cups and small pitchers that are free refills, but you can never find your waitress to get a refill. It was small. Tiny, minuscule, teeny, shrunken, minute. Tables are crammed together, the arcade has maybe 8 games, the jungle gym is the size of small McDonald's Play-place. It's in a strip mall, enough said? It is staffed by rude, unenthusiastic people. Part of the "show" is the waiters/waitresses get up and dance to the Chuck E. Cheese theme song. The three waitresses there that afternoon (who probably were serving 150 people at once) didn't even move their bodies, they kind of just convulsed a little and lip synced while rolling their eyes. Our waitress seemed annoyed when we would ask like things like forks, or where the bathroom was. The time restraint. They allow you 60 minutes for a birthday party. Plus 15 minutes to order your food and 15 more to "clean up" meaning they hand YOU a garbage bag and you clean your table. Once the clock hits quarter till the party's over, the waitress is right on top of you, rushing you out the door. I will never return to this Chuck E. Cheese and maybe never go to another Chuck E. I had my children's birthday party here on March 10th the birthday party was at 5:30 p.m. and ended at 7:30 I bought the unlimited package so my kids would have two hours of unlimited play time well my oldest son birthday unlimited band would not work I told our party hostess she said she fixed it but it was not fixed so now it is 7pm and my son has not got to play any games at his own birthday party and when I asked an employee if they would get my hostess for me they came back with the response she is too busy so then I asked for the manager and when she finally came out she was well IDK what they want us to do about it.......my son is autistic so explaining to him what was going on was about to be a nightmare ......and the best she could do was give my son a few Play points and everyone acts like they didn't really care that his birthday was now ruined read more

This place place was crazy packed like any chuck e cheese place is on the weekend. It's kind of dirty nobody was clearing or cleaning the tables. and a lot of games were out of order like a my least 7 games they don't have that many games to play it seems smaller than the other ones I been to they are super slow they always have one person at the cash register with a long line and they have one person handling the prizes it was super slow so after we got the tickets we just left I don't think I will be back to this one. Worst Chuck E. Cheese I've ever been to! The floors were filthy with no one even trying to clean up. The bathroom looked like a truck stop. It took an hour for a pepperoni pizza to be cooked after I brought to their attention that they forgot all about it! I could not get a clean salad plate to save my life. Let me tell you about the salad bar!! Hardly any lettuce, what was left of it was wilted and brown. Everything was mixed together.. so gross. There are no labels on the dressings, you have to guess what is what. The line to get toys was a mile long because only one ticket lady. The ticket machines all say "help needed" This place needs new management and more staff ASAP! I work hard for my money and my kids can't wait to do something fun. I went to a birthday party on April 12, 2008. I agree with the first reviewer. This place deserves ZERO stars. This location is a FIRE HAZARD. Too many people in there at one time. The aisles in the party room were blocked by people standing because the tables were full. They let a crowd of about 20 people come in for a "walk in" party and they didn't have enough seats for everyone. Half of them just stood in the aisle. The manager wouldn't ask them to clear the aisles. It was dirty. I saw kids playing in the salad bar and employees walked right past them without saying a word. Numerous broken games. The employees were rude and unhelpful. We had to track down the server to get the birthday cake. She didn't give us plates or forks for the cake and she rushed us from the table when it was over. The manager Chris is the absolute BEST! I had originally booked my daughter's birthday party at the Tinley Park location online. When I called to confirm the day of the party they wanted to "let me know" that they also had a fundraiser going on from 3-9pm that night and Maya's group might not be able to all sit together and basically it would be PACKED. So last minute we were able to move the party to Matteson and Chris and his staff took such great care of us! In fact, I've never been to any kids restaurant that had a professional such as Chris there to make sure our group had everything we needed. read more

I tried the Matteson location again for my neice birthday party and was disappointed AGAIN!!. Had to wait 3 Hours for 2 burnt pizzas and was shorted on hot wings. Pop machine was broke so nothing to drink. Bathrooms still didn't have toilet paper and smelled like an out house. This is once again a HUGE disappointment. I thought I would take my two Grandchildren to Chuck E Cheese for some fun after school! Started off a little rocky. Had to wait in line 10 minutes just to get their hand stamped. Had a coupon no barcode scanner to scan the coupon, and the hostess was blah. No smile, no greeting ,no thank you. The kids did enjoy the pizza and seemed to have fun playing the games and collecting tickets for their prizes. This is also a good time to come because it is not too crowded. read more

Had our daughter's first birthday party there last weekend. Honestly, we held it here because the Tinley Park location was already booked. When we arrived, noticed the police car parked out front and said to my wife, "is this normal?" LOL. He was working security there. It was warm in there, it was warm this past weekend but you'd expect them to turn the AC to a little lower temperature when you factor in the external temperature with the weekend crowd. My very first time ever attending this location was Saturday, 2/26 for my son's 2nd birthday party. I am not familiar with how the place use to be, but it is beautiful, colorful and clean location today. It appears that it must have been remolded and it is bigger than any other locations I have attended in the past 2 years. I had my party at Noon, so the crowd was very mild and staff was outstanding!! I never had to look for my hostess. She was always at my side when I needed her. He asked a ton of questions and served us with a smile. The manager even came over to our table and asked how we were enjoying her party. Chucke was AWESOME!!! He interacted with the children from the time we walked in until we left. He was the BOMB!! He was even on the rides with the children. Chuck E Cheese in my home town (Matteson) ROCKS!!!!!
