FUN PASS HOLDERS: Your pass is NOT ACCEPTED. On a planned trip to San Jose, I searched for an activity for our daughter. When I saw the size and volume of attractions at Chuck E Cheese San Jose, I knew we had to bring her. I did not think to call ahead or verify my Fun Pass would be honored. CHECK IN: When we arrived to check in, I was informed nothing from the Fun Pass is honored as of November 2025. When I looked at the menu for game play options I was astonished to see the pricing for play. My daughter has the Silver which includes 100 points. Looking to find a comparable play for her, 120 points was $61. When I commented on the prices, the young man at the register - JOSE - informed me of coupons online available to use in store. For $49, we received one large topping pizza, 4 drinks, 2 cotton candy, and 120 play points. I was appreciative of his kindness to share the information and patience with walking me through the steps to obtain the discount. TO GET A DEAL/DISCOUNT: 1. Go to ChuckECheese.com, 2. Select the location (Change your location, top of screen), 3. Top of screen, right of yellow BIRTHDAY button, click on three lines, 4. Select Coupons & Deals Here you will find the deals offered. Some are based on a day, some include food & play, other options include only food or only play. SEATING: There are two floors of seating, with lots of seating options of booth or table/chair within the vicinity of game play or secluded away from the action. We elected for the second level where we could look down to have a greater proximity view of our daughter. FOOD: For the Chuck E Cheese locations we venture in the east bay, I was pleasantly surprised to see a cheesy pizza with a half side of pepperoni almost covering the entirety of each slice - no tomato sauce in sight being hidden by the loads of cheese on top. The food was fresh, mindfully prepared, made with fresh ingredients and satisfied the appetites of three. I refuse to purchase food from Chuck E. Cheese locations as the quality is below subpar, BUT this location is a definite exception to that experience. PLAY: Our daughter, 6, focused mostly on the Toddler Play Area with the carousel, moving car rides, ball toss, claw games for toys and candy, racing with pedals she could reach, an ice cream parlor and other engaging games. The age recommended for the area is 2-8 years. The upper floor possessed arcade games tailored to an older audience like Halo, Mario Kart, lots of shooting and racing games. Typically this is the area our daughter plays as she and I compete against each other, today was different. TICKET REDEMPTION: At the end, she was ready to redeem her points for a prize and selected Kuromi for 6000 tickets. Each 100 ticket increment for a prize is treated as $1, if you need to make the difference of the balance (as I did for our little one) you pay that amount minus the value of tickets had. Our daughter had 2300 tickets ($23 value) and for a 6000 ticket ($60 value) prize I paid the difference of $37. STAFF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: I would like to highlight JOSE for his kindness, patience, assistance with our transaction, taking the time to explain the difference between his location versus those we patron in the east bay, and for being an overall person of kindness and beautiful spirit. Thank you Jose for easing the blow of the Fun Pass and turning a potential negative experience into one our daughter truly enjoyed. In the end, our daughter enjoyed herself, we enjoyed each other and did not allow the absence of the Fun Pass to soil our experience. This location feels like a money grab compared to other Chuck E. Cheese locations. While it's marketed as the largest, it's not the most game-packed. A significant portion of the space is taken up by food and seating rather than games. Additionally, they do not accept membership benefits here, and the cost per game is noticeably higher--up to 300% more than other locations. Overall, the value just isn't there compared to what you'd expect from the brand. read more

An interesting spot for kids and open on New Year's day. The reason we came here is because my daughter keeps talking about it being haunted, so sure why not. It's two floors and has a lot of games, and the games are actually priced decently. Some of the machines were not working though, or at least properly. Great games for the kids. This is certainly the largest Chuck E. Cheese building in CA, there's two stories but don't let that fool you in thinking there's more stuff to do. I'll start off by saying the parking lot seems fairly small considering the number of people this facility can accommodate. Additionally, the entry/center of the first floor is pretty much seating for parties with a few booths for the non party folk to sit and eat. There's also a large screen on the floor for dancing and a large screen on the wall for birthday announcements. There's a salad bar on the right when you enter, and further right is the drink machine and bathrooms. Walking up near the center is a counter to order food, and beyond that will be the prize redemption area. Beware that the cost of the actual prizes is probably cheaper to buy on Amazon or Target than it is to "win" with tickets but you get the idea. Most of the back side opposite of the entrance is the games that will give ticket prizes, while upstairs is mostly non ticket games. The fun play card does not work here if you have a membership at another Chuck E. Cheese, so just keep in mind you're going to need to reload your card as if it's your first time. Most games are 1-3 credits and you'll generally get 1-5 tickets per game which is where they really get you to spend more. You can either pay for credits where you get prizes or you may pay for unlimited play time of games that don't give out tickets. I highly recommend playing for credits, keeping a number of tickets for a prize in mind and then once you hit the number, allow for a couple of games that don't give out tickets. Overall I'd come back again! The cost for game credits is still going to cost me less than admission for a family to go somewhere else for indoor play read more

I did try this place. It was small. The Front desk lady mentioned the one in San Jose is two stories so it's more games and more of everything for kids. I just went here because it was a birthday party. But overall my daughter loved it. The workers, They are very helpful if you need helping but they are not coming up to you asking if you need anything. Ambiance is ok wish Chuckie Cheese would be there like it was back in the day, to take pics with the kids. Didn't taste the food so can't speak on it. It gets a 3 only because it was not much things too do but again if my daughter happy I'm happy so ima give an extra star for her happiness. Plus you can take unlimited pics for free. The manager Andres was extremely rude and refused to listen and help us at all. We were only stopping in for a quick visit during a road trip and were not expecting such a terrible experience. We go to our local Chuck E. Cheese all the time, and were shocked at the difference. Our son was crying because of Andres' terrible behavior towards us and we walked out. It's not just an ordinary Chuck E Cheese, it's their flagship restaurant in San Jose. This place is huge, two floors of fun and adventure for the kids. They don't offer food gourmet dishes but kids don't care. They just want to play! This establishment is clean and well lit with lots of staff to offer help. The salad bar is neatly organized and clean. The pizza is not bad either. Again, your kids won't care. So, if you need a place to keep the little ones busy, give it try! LOL read more

It's been about a 20 years since I last came to Chuck E. Cheese in San Jose, now with grandkids and I was pleasantly surprised! The place has made very nice upgrades, and I love how family-friendly it is. If you are looking for a good place to hang out with kid indoor. This is a great option. Downside ~ the card for the games sometimes don't work which is annoying also a bit pricey. But all in all a great place that kids loves.food is okies. Service is ok too read more

My kids love this location. Most of the games actually work unlike the one in Cupertino where most things are "under maintenance" all the time. Tons of variety of games, two floors worth! It is a bit pricey unless you are a monthly recurring member once you add cost for play for two kids, pizza/drinks for the family, etc. But definitely the best way to scratch the arcade itch. We've done our daughter's birthday party here, and that was great value. The staff is a bit skeletal and slow, so come with time, and don't get frustrated! You'll have a great time. I upgraded from Silver to Gold so that my kids would have more credits to play at the higher prices for the San Jose location and now they won't let me downgrade back because I bought the pass at another location. This Chuck E Cheese is huge with a variety of games. That's a plus for my 7-year-old child with ADHD. The weekends get pretty crowded, but there are plenty of tables. The service is always good! The place is spacious and clean. My only complaint is the pizza. It's bland. I've never had tasteless pizza before, but it has been twice now that I've not liked the pizza. The Cupertino location has great pizza, so I don't know why this one is so plain. Overall, I'll keep coming back, but hope someone does check out why the pizza is not giving pizza flavor. I have been to several Chuck E Cheese locations. Even went to one in Texas. They are all small except for this one in San Jose which is two levels. They've even added an elevator this past summer. This location has the best atmosphere with tons of kids and adults playing games. But things have changed this year. I'm not sure if it's worth going here anymore with the price increases and more points per game play. Up until this summer all games were 1 point each play. Starting in the summer a lot of games went to 2 points each play including the coin games such as Willy Wonka, Flintstones etc. I just went today and now all coin games are 4 points each play. At least this is what I saw on the lower level as I didn't go upstairs on this visit. I didn't play any other games so I'm not sure it any others changed. I have a Two-month Pass. In the last week I've been told several times they will start asking for ID to use your passes. I don't know the reason why. Maybe people are sharing their passes with others. They have also gotten rid of the paper tickets. Now your tickets are added to your game card. I was bummed when they got rid of the coins and now the tickets. It was just so much fun collecting the tickets and then turning them all in. Hopefully they don't continue to make any more negative changes. read more

Our assigned party host unfortunately wasn't very friendly or helpful, so I was worried our visit wouldn't be great. Thankfully, Anna stepped in and completely turned things around. Come on - this place is a piece of San Jose history and still going strong! I am giving it 3 stars for the nostalgia - it was bright, it was clean, the games were mostly working. It is a strange space with a big staircase in the middle - so not a ton of games themselves. But what they did have were newer and most games we played worked fine. They were fixing some of the coin games. The food counter was probably under-sized compared to the sheer size of the sitting areas upstairs and downstairs and leads to awkward line. Only nice staff person was the lady who greeted us and put a stamp on us at the entrance! The lady who worked the prizes could not be bothered to put on a smile and just seemed to be having an off day, it happens. This is the best Chuck E. Cheese I have ever been to. There are two levels; it is huge! The food is tasty and they also have a well maintained salad bar. The food is pricey, but there are coupons and deals are their website. There is plenty of parking on weekdays and early on weekends. It gets busy in the afternoons and evenings on the weekends. I would avoid those times if you don't like crowds. It's a fun place for both little kids, teens, and adults. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. read more

Ok this is apparently the OG location and I'm so glad we chose to come here even though the Cupertino location is closer to us. It has two floors of games and arcades. It just feels more spacious. We decided to come here for a birthday party during the 11am to 1pm slot. When we came and asked them to hold the cake for us, they kept saying something about cake at 12pm which I didn't totally understand. Apparently they have like 5+ parties at the same time so when Chuckee comes around and do the birthday song we all sing together at the same time at noon. Which it wasn't clear to us until it was actually happening. It would be nice if the schedule was posted online or emailed to the hosts. Awful! They don't honor fun passes. This location participated in the fun pass program when I signed up for a one-year commitment on it. In the last 9 months I never got a chance to go because it was an hour's drive away. So today on a Saturday I went. Apparently they dropped out of the program 3 months ago, even though I'm not allowed to drop out until my one year commitment is up. To be honest, I didn't mind leaving the location because I noticed that they jacked up the prices of all of their prizes. They charge double the tickets of any other location for the exact same prize. We were starving by the time we got there and they wouldn't even honor my gold pass discount for food. So we ended up driving to the Cupertino location which was really nice and they did honor my pass. I hope management rethinks this move as I'm pretty sure it's going to affect the bottom line. My gosh, so upsetting. I come here often and am currently here to support a school fundraiser. I purchased 120 points on a card only to have my daughter come back after 10 mins of playing 1 game 4 times and say the card was done. When I asked staff, they made me wait for the supervisor who said she left it by the game and it that's got it got scanned and that's not their fault. When I asked him to go over to the actual game and showed where she left the card. He said she held the card to the scanner the entire time, which she clearly couldn't do as a 6 year old navigating a claw machine. You can clearly see there's several scans made within one min- which is physically impossible to do for a 6 year old. Super frustrating that staff did not help the situation and didn't believe us when they can clearly see how and when the charges were made. Wasted $50 in less than 10 mins. read more

Without any warning they canceled our gold pass, saying this location NO longer accepts them. Food is okay, service hit or miss. Often times lines at the initial desk can take a long time with several families waiting to load cards and order food. If there is a way to speed this up, it would be way more enjoyable when walking in. Ambiance is okay, I did notice lots of adults playing games. Which is fine but when kids are not able to play any of the coin push games over a 2 hour period and the same adults are standing their with huge Reims if tickets all over the floor, there's a problem. read more

I have to admit it was busy lots of kids and adults alike. The great thing is there are plenty of tables to accommodate large to small parties as well as just family outings. My kids had a blast. My 11year old said it's better then Dave and busters and the prices are super reasonable $80 had my kids play for 3hours! Pizza was actually really good the warm cookie is our favorite. Chicken wings with BBQ was on point nothing disappointed. Overall, you need this place in your life for the kids. I bought CEC membership for almost 1 year, for me at the first time my son & I played we're really enjoyed , only 1 point for 1 game, then they went up 2 points which is ok, but in less than 3 months they went up from 2 points, then 3 points and now there are 6 points for 1 game, while the game score is still 250 for 1 day, cant even getting the points of friends to play is very absurd. For me $30/month is not worth buying a member card anymore. It is recommended that people consider before buying a member card, as you cancel only after 12 months. read more

Nostalgia !! Loved coming here and seeing some games provided regular tickets and not E-Tickets. I was able to give my son the experience I had as a kid! They prizes here are WAY better than our home location. The elevator was broken during our visit which sucked as we had a stroller but we still made the best of it (my husband carried the bassinet stroller up and down the stairs) - it's a 2 story location with lots of options for games. First time in a Chuck E. Cheese in about 30 years (omg). This was a nostalgic childhood place for me and my siblings growing up in Los Angeles. This location is bright and spacious. There's a huge party area right at the front with a ton of party tables for various parties. This location has 2 stories and it's basically surrounded by a variety of arcade games. Skeeball is still there but i didn't see the basketball game. We had a great time with our 4 year old who didn't want to leave. We didn't try the food but noticed that there was another huge dining area on the second floor that was much more quiet but a bit remote. read more

Bad customer service from a manager at Chuck E. Cheese (San Jose location) I took my kids to Chuck E. Cheese in San Jose this evening, and unfortunately, we had a bad experience--mainly due to how one of the staff members handled a situation. My daughter and I were playing side by side on two machines. She had to run to the bathroom for a moment, and while she was gone, a worker came up to me and told me I couldn't use two machines at once. I explained that my daughter was playing with me and just stepped away briefly. The staff member, whose tone was very bossy and unfriendly, told me that when my daughter isn't there, I can't use both machines. I understand if that's a rule, but there were no signs posted anywhere saying that. And honestly, if someone goes to the bathroom for a minute, is a family member not allowed to hold the machine for them? That seems very unreasonable, especially when the place is busy. Later, I tried to politely give feedback to the same worker and suggest that they put up a sign to make the policy clear. I found out she was actually the manager, and her name is Betty. Her response? She said there's no need for a sign, that she talks to everyone already, and she didn't need any advice. I was shocked by how rude and dismissive she was. Is that how a manager should talk to customers? I left feeling disappointed and disrespected. My kids had fun, but this kind of customer service really ruins the experience. I hope Chuck E. Cheese takes this kind of feedback seriously and trains their staff--especially management--on how to communicate with customers in a respectful way. read more

Pizza is good. The service was good. My only complaint is that the workers don't put a stop to some kids that don't know proper indoor etiquette. I was just there for a birthday and we were on the upstairs floor. Kids were running all over the place playing tag, about 7-8 teenagers. They were not part of our party. They were also running around the bottom floor as well. That is a severe liability. If one of them were to run into a child and that child hits a machine and gets hurt....well i don't think the company would like that very much nor the parents of said injured child. Hosted a party. It went so amazing. Our Host Marco and Damian did an amazing Job. There attention to detail was outstanding. These young men were very attentive with the food and drinks. Garbage. We used to go every Friday and now they dont take the pass. Also, for the size, the games are terrible. Its all about money for them. They took out good games for dumb stuff like win tickets on a roll. Lame. The pizza and salad are so much better in gilroy and Cupertino we will never come back here read more
