This place is legit, it was my first coming, and I'm so glad I did. My niece was off school for the summer, and I was scrambling last-minute for something fun to do. Amazingly, Great America is closed on Saturdays, and it was way too hot to be outside. This spot was perfectly air-conditioned and just what we needed. I don't know if I got lucky with the crew on shift, but the staff were on top of it and made our experience awesome. We got to try everything with our tickets, and even I was able to crawl and run through all the attractions. (I'm a petite adult who works out, if you're larger or have bad knees, you might get stuck.) I paid $38 for me and my niece to play together until more kids showed up. There's also a membership for $25/month (one adult + one child), but you have to commit to at least 3 months. This place was worth every penny. My niece made friends right away and ran around playing until closing at 8 PM. That said, there are a few areas where I think the experience could be even more fun: **1. Bathrooms:** They were a bit of a mess--typical kid chaos, like toilet paper everywhere. Totally expected, but a little more frequent cleaning during peak hours would go a long way. **2. Bazooka Ball:** It took *way* too long to get a game started. Some kids had to leave before it even began, and kids kept asking me, "Is it going to start?" When it finally did, playtime was only 3-5 minutes. That felt rushed, especially after waiting so long. I think it would help to have a set schedule for these games to be posted and spread out throughout the day. It could even be a fun "grand finale" before closing. I get that it takes safety training to run the game, but giving families a clear time to plan around would make a big difference. I can see parents saying after bazooka ball we're going home. Also, I got to play 2times, the guns worked fine the first round--but the second time, mine and my niece's guns were broken. With such a short play window, fiddling with gear that doesn't work really sucked. Before starting a game, someone should test each gun and label the ones that are out of air. That way, every kid gets a fair shot. I'm glad our first round was solid, but I could see a kid being really disappointed if they waited forever, got a broken gun, and then lost. **3. The Tire Slide:** There's a slide in other reviews where kids sit on a tire and roll down a long, fast track. We were so excited to try it--my niece hauled that heavy tire up the stairs, ready to fly--but when she sat on it, nothing happened. It just... stopped. No roll at all. I don't know if they changed the flooring, but it's a huge letdown. That slide was a major selling point for us, and it didn't deliver. I get that speed could be a liability, but even a slight roll would make the climb feel worth it. We all sign the waiver--some fun and freedom here would go a long way. **4. The Ball Pit:** My niece tried to cannonball in--only to find out it's not even full. Just a floor with maybe half an inch of balls, giving the illusion it's deep. She didn't get seriously hurt, but she did hurt her leg jumping in. We sat and watched other kids do the same thing--one after another--slowly realizing the pit wasn't safe for jumping. At trampoline parks, they mix foam blocks in with the balls so kids can jump and swim around safely while staying on top. It also helps staff see everyone and prevents accidents. I think adding something like that would make the ball pit way more fun and way less risky. --- **Things included with your ticket:** - Maze - Trampoline - Jumpy House - Bazooka Ball - Mini Golf - Rock Climbing - All slides **Extras (cost extra):** - Food & water - Arcade games - Claw & candy games They even have a toddler area--secluded and locked off from the bigger kids. Perfect for little ones to roam freely and have a blast. **Suggestions for an even cooler experience:** A game card--like at Chuck E. Cheese--where you can play arcade games unlimited for a set time (starting when you swipe) would be a game-changer. It would keep the energy going and give families more value. Even without the changes I highly recommend this indoor park. I can see this playground getting old after a few times but for my first time here this place was lit and there was a birthday party going on so there was more kids playing hide and seek and tag it was a good time. read more

Ballistic! 10/10 for this amazing place for kids! We celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday here yesterday 5-8 pm. Oscar was assigned to my party. What an amazing guy, he greeted us at the entry point and from then on it was smooth sailing. He took care of every single guest, checking them in, giving them instructions patiently, patience matters when all the guests are 10 year olds and their younger siblings! Oscar ensured our party schedule ran smoothly, being flexible with adjusting the Bazooka rounds with the party room food distribution, to make sure our party had hot fresh pizzas when they were ready, moving the Bazooka round to after the food time, and then kids come back to the party room for cake cutting and ice creams. He took care of everything in the party room, including taking photos for us, refilling pitchers and cutting the cake and distributing them. A special shout out to the remaining staff here as well, all the way from planning to exiting the location. We never felt rushed. There were no surprise expenses, only what was discussed and confirmed. My daughter and her friends called it a "fantastic ballistic" experience! Thank you to Michelle for an amazing birthday for my 3yr old. We booked the 10am-12pm spot Saturday, and we had the place to ourselves pretty much for the first hour. It was awesome. It wasn't crowded at all and perfect to host a party. The food is surprisingly really good. The pizzas are made fresh there and tasted great. Michelle was super accommodating and could tell we didn't necessarily order enough pizza. She was exactly right and was able to get us in a quick order right in time. She was responsive via text message and always very sweet. She never came off frustrated despite my millions of questions. Just a heads up you have to purchase their socks if you plan on going into the play area! Also, the extra playtime if your party goes over is also $50, but honestly, everyone was ready to leave by 12pm because the kids were so tired. So we didn't need to pay to extend. Great indoor place to take the kids on a rainy or hot day. This place may smell a little once you enter the front doors but there's such a wide variety of fun things to do ! Only $15 per child for the all day pass which includes bazooka ball, jumpers, slides, obstacle courses, playhouses, spinning fun, rock climbing, miniature golf, arcade games, trampoline, etc. Kids loved it! 10/10 recommend! Way to burn those calories! Theres food too but we were having too much Fun and didn't make time to eat. Adults can play too. The special grip socks are $5 per person. Oh man this review is long overdue! My family has been coming here for over 12 years, even through the remodel, and it's still one of our favorite spots. The indoor play area is usually clean, and there's so much for kids to do from bungee jumping, a rock climbing wall, playground structures, bounce houses, mini golf, ball pits, a mini town, and obstacle courses. My kids absolutely love it here, and even the older ones still have a great time. We also enjoy the cafe being able to grab pizza and drinks makes it easy to spend a few hours without having to leave. We have hosted a birthday party here a few years ago, and it was super smooth. This place is really run down and most items are sticky. You can see the play area is unkept. There doesn't seem to be too much maintenance here. This place has potential to be better if they renovated the area since it is a large space. My toddler had a good time overall, but I would not be back due to it seeming unsanitary. read more

Filthy! Someone pooped on the trampoline, and it was tracked around the entire facility. The staff clearly did not have adequate cleaning procedures and did not know how to approach the situation safely or responsibly. They did not close down sections but just had a teenaged staff member ineffectively spot clean. This staff member appeared to not have any training in this kind of cleaning and then went on to be the one to serve the food at the birthday party. Definitely mix reviews for this place. We've had friends come here and give us also mixed reviews. Trying to find a different place to take them so we gave this place to try. Definitely a little bit older and rundown, but it seemed to clean enough. The staff was friendly, but they're actually wasn't too many of them at the time we went. Complaint would be that there really isn't too much supervision so you have to watch your kids. Some of the structures are high and kids could fall and get injured if they're not careful. My kids loved it though and didn't want to leave at the end. A little hot inside, even just sitting there glad that they had all the fans running. Horrible service. My niece's friend had her son's birthday party. They was very rude. Food was not served until close to cutting the cake so we were here for more than an hour and a half without any food or drinks. Literally while we were cutting cake hostess was putting presents out the door and letting us know that they are charging us $20 for every 10 minutes we stay extra No 30 minute notice that it's almost time to go just very rude The hostess looks like she did not want to be serving us which I get work can be stressful, but this is ridiculous. Funtropolous is an easy place to take kids to keep them busy especially during the summer for about 1.5 hours. I took my kids here on a Wednesday for their special. It wasn't too packed. There is one gated area for younger kids and about four other areas for kids 42 inches and taller. They have random access to activities announced over the speakers that keeps things interesting, such as access to the Bazooka room. There is also a rock climbing zone that requires an attendant as well as an outside small miniature golf area. The only downside is that it is hard to track your kids once they are in the apparatus. There may be some bigger kids that play rough. The building has AC and no weird smell. They have little toilets for kids. Place appeared clean. There are a number of prize machines and air hockey that is accessible with a game pass. There is plenty of parking. Workers were nice and courteous.. One must purchase their socks. They accept cash or card. read more

There's no music just sounds of cash grab claw machines and arcade games. It feels under lit with a lot of dark areas. The black ceilings don't help. Kind of grimy. I had booked this place for my son's birthday party recently. The place itself seemed ok, they have a lot of play structures for older kids mostly, barely anything for toddlers and below. The pizzas they have are also not that great (in comparison to other party venues). Anyhow, the real shocker is the price I eventually had to pay for the whole event. They make it mandatory to buy socks from them for everyone who wants to go to the play structures and those socks are $4/ pair (this was mentioned on the website). On top of that, they charge a mandatory 18% service charge (which I was unaware of until I spoke to them about a discrepancy on the card). And the service charge is on the socks as well. So really what seemed like a reasonable package at the beginning quickly blew up because of the additional 25% in mandatory fees that I had to pay. And when we left the venue the girl at counter gave us a pass ( this was included in the package), but the pass is only for 1 hour instead of a full day pass as is mentioned on their website. For anybody who's planning a party here, make sure you double check all your payments and passes and bills. Overall, our experience was bad and I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

We had a terrible experience and were very disappointed and shocked at how unsafe, unclean and disorganized this indoor playground was. First of all we had paid for socks and did not receive them for almost 15 minutes in a line. The place was packed and there is simply no way to even see your child with the layout. We saw teenagers in the toddler section, teenagers running up slides for young kids and absolutely no supervision from any parent or staff. I was very worried my child would get hurt in the few minutes we stayed there. We left early because of the huge risk. We have been to many indoor playgrounds but found ourselves shocked at just how bad the safety aspect was. It was also incredibly dirty with rubbish on the floor and there was no place to store belongings since it was so busy. Overall, I would strongly advise parents not to visit here. It was the worst place I've ever brought my child. It is so badly designed, managed and maintained. I had read some negative reviews about the cleanliness of the playground and cost but thought we'd still give this place a try since the main website made it sound like a pretty fun place. We arrived right before the place opened, so I had expected the place to be clean. However, I was sadly wrong. I went directly to the toddler area and the foam pads were filthy, the balls in the ball pit have not been cleaned as some have black scruffy marks, there was clump of hair on the floor and even goldfish crumbs on the floor! Did the staff not clean the place at the end of the day or before the place opens? I could be more understandable for the hair and crumbs if we had arrived later in the day, however this was at 10 am right when it opens. I hope that this place does a makeover or a major clean through. As for fun, some of the balls in the ballpit were crushed, no toys in the play spaces for kids to do any pretend play and limited stuff for toddlers to climb. read more
