Booked an end of season party for a kids soccer team. The manager; Scott, was super communicative, flexible, and easy to work with. Our team had an added game during a tournament, and Scott allowed us flexibility with the party start time. He also helped us to sort extra food for our group, and it was super easy to add additional kids to the initial amount we'd confirmed. The space is clean and well maintained. The staff seem to be mostly teens, but they were more attentive and friendly than other places. Overall, it's a great local space for kids parties, and everyone loved it! read more

First time at hyperspace and it was pretty great! Staff was very helpful with information. Unfortunately they do not serve food unless it's for a reserved party which they cater from local businesses, and more information is available on their website. The ambiance is great with music not too loud and plenty of seating outdoors with shade. Definitely a great place to check out when you're in the area. read more

Good venue with a lot of options - arcade downstairs for the toddlers through kids. Video game room upstairs for bigger kids (a little depressing to walk by and see all these kids with their brains off mindlessly staring at about 20 different screens). Shaded outdoor seating that is pretty seamlessly integrated with the arcade. A karaoke room upstairs - no official videos but a good selection of songs (modern, oldies, american, Asian) and that you can add via QR code on your own phone, where you can adjust the key and the tempo. We were allowed to bring our own cake and serve it there for a birthday. They were busy but with plenty of space for you to navigate on a Saturday at 3:30pm. Plenty of parking in a lot across the street. Be aware they don't serve alcohol or food - I heard there were some snacks downstairs but I didn't see what they were. read more

I hosted a team event at Hyperspace and it was a great experience. Scott was responsive to all of my inquiries and messages sent regarding the booking of the venue. In addition, he was very accommodating to the special needs of our group which made the planning process easy and smooth. On the day of our event, we were greeted by friendly staff and everything from food, drinks. and games were setup on time and our team had so much fun playing games, singing karaoke, and enjoying the tables out front to converse and relax. Overall it was a great experience and my team really enjoyed their time here. Would definitely recommend for team events or childrens parties as the owner and staff were very helpful and organized. read more

Such a great space! I really wishwish it was a bigger space though! Spent about an hour and a half here, just playing on the various games. More variety of games would have made this place a super 5 stars! Not gonna lie - I gave another star (from 4 stars) because they did allow my doggie to come in, especially because it wasn't super packed when I went. There are a couple of pinball machines, a couple skeeball machines, and various other games that provide tickets for redemption at the toy corner! My toddler nephew had a great time too! There is some outdoor seating, though I wish there were some heaters out there, so that we could have spent more time outdoors. It was late enough though, and it was cold, so we stayed inside. They did have some snacks available for sale and not super overly or ridiculously priced either. Parking was available along the street and it wasn't packed. Upstairs, they have karaoke and another game room (probably super cool for parties!). Will definitely check out the place if I am in the area, but hope they diversify the games available too, to keep the entertainment going! read more

I think I've been to at least 3 kids birthday parties here, and one of unexpected joys of adulthood to tag along and do fun kid things. The pinball selection is great here (currently Avengers, Star Wars, and another one). The games are in pretty good condition and clean here, much better than other kinds of places. Not the biggest place, but good enough for an hour or so. There's a very nice artificial grass area out front with a good amount of tables (to chat or catch up on work/household stuff) while your kids are having fun. The upstairs private party area is very cool and features a VR room. Plenty of parking in downtown Los Altos public lots or street parking. read more

I was super excited when I saw on Yelp recommendations about this place. I grew up in an era when arcades were plenty. Now that they're so few and far between when this got on my radar I planned out a trip over with my family right away. The kiosk to get the play card malfunctioned and didn't dispense a card after I paid. I talked to the staff (who all seemed pretty young ‍) and they got me a card from the counter no problem. My older son (8 yr) had fun. He liked the Connect 4 Basketball game the most. My younger one (3 yr) was a bit too young for most of the games. Although he did ride a little horse game and I played the hot wheels racing game with him together. I feel like they could make a bit more efficient use of the space and add more games in there. But with little options of arcades nowadays I'll take whatever I can get. Hopefully this place does well and survives. read more

Consider this a mini review as I was only there for a brief time. But it's a cool place. Arcade in the lower floor and VR and karaoke rooms upstairs. Very clean and airy. On the day I was there it was about 80% kids and 20% adults but VR skews a bit older. Check it out. read more

Very clean, staffs are friendly and helpful. They patiently talk to the kids while kids are up there to exchange their little prizes.

Update, they finally fixed all of the machines! The prizes could be so much better but at least glad that the machines are working.

We took our son here with his friends for a birthday activity. The attraction we had booked ahead of time was to use the gaming console lounge upstairs. These were 11 year old boys who all have limited opportunities to play all together on PlayStation or Xbox consoles and the layout of Hyperspace was really compelling - 8 x 50" screens all linked up to individual consoles and all networked together to allow a serious party of hardcore multi person gaming. But sadly one after another technical problems prevented the boys from being able to all join a game and play together. Minor incompatibilities between consoles, game controller issues, lag issues. To make things worse, the staff ( who were numerous but inattentive) were very slow to provide any assistance. They just pointed to the consoles and said "here you go" and then disappeared back downstairs. My wife and I had to go down a demand for support when it became clear our 11 year olds were not going be able to figure out how to get a multiplayer experience going on their own. The worst experience was yet to come though: After our hour expired, I provided feedback to the manager about our dismal experience and instead of behaving with any level of professionalism, apologising and/or offering to make amends, he ( a substantial sized fellow ) chose instead to get right up in my face physically, accuse me of being "aggressive" and threaten to call the police. I recall his comment to me in a booming and threatening voice - "I'm very sorry that you don't like our business model". Anyway that was it for us. I just walked out. Who needs to be treated like this at their kids birthday party. Sadly it seems like nowadays a customer is simply not allowed to complain. You either take the crap service that lazy staff provide or you leave. As bad as the pizza was at Chuck E Cheese, I don't ever recall any challenges like this with customer service there. I like the "business model" of an upgraded gaming place with expensive consoles, top games, VR etc. but when tech problems and poor customer service combine with arrogant management, I'm not sure how successful they will be. We certainly won't return. read more
