We have been to this place 3 different times and it is ALWAYS crowded. On top of this the ticket counting machines are ALWAYS broken and the token slot that dispenses tickets for however many tokens/coins drop ALWAYS has an issue with its "pushers." The line for food is ALWAYS long, the booths to eat at are ALWAYS taken, and the line to exit must ALWAYS wait on the incoming line to end. Not the best service ever. Pretty bad service, we booked online for our son's fifth birthday. Arrived and they seemed to have no knowledge of our selections. When pizza was delivered, the adult pizzas came out but no kids' pizzas. They had given them to someone else. The adults were done before the kids even had pizza, but none of the cups were brought out, we had to ask many times. The cake came out and they wanted to cut that before the kids even had pizza. Then the show started, and the pizza finally arrived mid-show. Our party was a comedy of errors, we booked there to avoid the stress of planning a party and felt like we spent the first hour chasing after employees to get stuff done. I thought this would be a good place to celebrate the last day of school with my grandson. Saw the buffet lunch sign on the window and thought wow, that's a good deal. Absolutely not!!! The salad is tub of only lettuce, nothing else. The pizza looked so bad even my grandson said, "no way"' It's thin crust and looked way over done. You can get this (whole) pizza at the 99 cent store and get better pizza. Ok, so I talked him in to the family platter tray, wings, tater tots, cheesy bread and celery. The celery was old, cheesy bread ok and the wings were good. This definitely was not worth $10.00 . Service is nonexistent. After 30 minutes and no food I went to cashier behind counter and asked about out order, she rudely replied it takes at least 45 min. to an hour for ordered food, really and they were not even that busy. Ever have to watch a child eat outside while watching children at Chuck E Cheese play? I had to. Let just first say there is not a single sign outside or inside the establishment that stated outside food is not allowed. I bought my nephew chicken nuggets from Wendy's restaurant because last time I came the chicken nuggets looked burned from this Chuck E. Cheese. I walked in with my family and the manager working at 6:40pm 10/5/18 at this location screamed from the back of the register "We do not allow outside food here!" (In front of other workers and customers) Very poor communication skills. What leader yells at a customer across so many feet that. A proper way to address the situation would be to wait till I reached the register out of respect and stated " I am sorry but we do not allow outside food." FYI I have brought outside food and cake plenty of times and I have never seen a sign that stated I can't bring it or been told I could not bring it. If you do not want outside food, PUT A SIGN THAT STATES THAT! I did not interact with the manager because she looked horrible yelling like a mad woman and I was not going to stoop to that level. I stood in front of Chuck E. Cheese watching my nephew eat standing up watching the other kids play. We had all the intentions of buying food at Chuck E. Cheese. Trust me I come here biweekly with my nephew. I will not be coming here anymore. We drove directly to Shakey's. They have games, better food, and better customer services. Buffet is a joke. We arrived right at opening time and when I asked why no pizza out, they said they don't start putting pizza out until someone orders buffet so it doesn't get cold. All well and good except first pizza didn't hit the buffet until 45 mins later. And for the next 2 hours it's fighting other parents for any slices that come out. My favorite was when they brought an unsliced pizza and made parents slice their own. Horrible! Would have been better off buying our own pizza and waiting the typical hour to get it. Not to mention exposure to germs from people having to reuse their plates to get more pizza. And the straw containers were filthy sticky such that no straws would come down and the place just opened. The food was good but the service was not. My husband had to wait an average of 5-7 minutes for someone to show up and pour him a beer - and there wasn't even a line. They just did not have enough staff working and it was the weekend! Wow, this has to be the worst place to be! Every employee that works here is so rude. The managers are rude. The place is so smelly and dirty. When we first walked in there was a terrible smell that smelled like gas. Another customer smelled it as well. When we asked two different employees what the smell was they just said they didnt know. When i said it smelled like gas, again they just shrugged thier shoulders and said yeah. I asked if they were the slightest bit concerned since the place is filled with kids. They were not. Placing my order the girl got it wrong because she obviously wasnt LISTENING to me when i ordered. Later my son lost his game card and when i asked the manager to help us and told him how much time was left on the card (because i set my timer on my phone when they started ) he said oh well you should go look for it, i said we already had, so he pointed to another employee and told me to go talk to her. He by the way was a manager but did not act like one in the least. They didn't care about anything. We had to ask for a table to be cleaned to eat at. Find a new place to take your kids. This place is horrible. I will not ever give them another penny of my money. I can see that i am not the first to write about the terrible experience here at this location but i wonder if anything has been addressed by Corporate after all of these bad reviews about the staff and management here. I didn't have any issues with this location until my most recent visit. About 30% percent of the games were not working and the place is already small and with 30% of the games not working, is horrible. Some games didn't even have signs on them stating they were not working. I didn't see the game guy walking around trying to fix them either and we were there almost 3 hours. But I did see him on his phone walking around doing nothing. When I went to place an order for food, there was no chicken of any sort (sandwiches or wings) the trash cans were full to capacity and trash was piled high that is was just sitting on the outside of the trash bin. We bought a cake from there and what a mistake that was. When they brought it out, it looked like a melted mess of frosting. It had horrible presentation, I was so embarrassed to serve it to my guests. And Where was management? no where to be seen. It just seemed like the young staff they had did not care at all about customer service or their job. The only employee that was actually working and did a good job was the girl delivering food to the tables. Customer service here is awful. Two ladies at the register one named Cecilia and the other whom I did not get a name (wears glasses) gave my husband and I such awful customer service. It was our first time back to Chuck e Cheese in a long time we decided to take our 8 month old baby for the first time. First of all, as Cecilia was taking my order when I asked a question about the menu she seemed bothered, rolled eyes, looked away and gave short answers. I ordered quick to not keep seing her attitude. Then, she began talking with another lady who walked in from the back about the register. Meanwhile, my husband and I are waiting to pay. I finally asked if there was anything wrong and lady with glasses responded, with no eye contact, register froze and they were restarting them. Are you kidding me, if I had not asked we would had never been informed about the situation. After waiting there for a couple minutes a guy employee told us to go sit and when started working they would take our order. We finally got our order, I had ordered the unlimited salad bar, I walked to ask for another plate and Cecilia was the only one there, she again was bothered. The only good customer service we got was from a guy who was fixing the machines, he was friendly and seemed happy to help when one of the rides didn't give us a photo we had just paid for. read more

I have read the bad reviews for this location and I have to say this was not my experience at all. We had an amazing experience. We had my daughter's third birthday party here on a Saturday at 5:30. The place was pretty packed but it was not in disarray. We were immediately greeted by our host, Douglas, who was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about him. He made our whole group feel important. I never had to go looking for him. He was attentive to our every need and request. I literally didn't have to do a thing but enjoy my girls special day. From refilling our drinks to cutting the cake, he took care of everything. He even Boxed up our leftovers and went over our bill in detail. Our food was good, the cake was good and the salad bar was even pretty organized, clean and full given the amount of people there. Great experience all around but I hope management reads this review and gives Douglas some incentive to stick around. With employees like him, he could change your mediocre/bad reviews in to excellent reviews. It's honestly rare these days to experience excellent customer service and Douglass gave that. read more

I have gone to this Chuck E Cheese's for many, many years and have had several less than great experiences, but last night was one of the worst. I was there for a birthday party, but my family and I ordered food for ourselves. We ordered cheesey breadsticks and their mac and cheese pizza that is available for a limited time only. After some time had passed and we asked several employees walking around the status of our food and they all said they would go check but never returned. After over 40 minutes my grandmother decided to get up and go ask the cashier what was going on. They said they tried looking for us but couldn't find us, even though our number was clearly displayed at the end of our table. Then they proceeded to tell us that they never had the products to make the mac and cheese pizza to begin with and had not made our pizza. No one offered us anything for our troubles and were not very apologetic. We got our money back and ate somewhere else after the party. Last night was a very disappointing experience. read more

For once we got our food in under 2 hours. I needed help with a machine and an employee ignored me as he had his headphones in wiping a table so I asked him 3 more times and he finally responded "when im done." He couldn't take a break from cleaning the table just to help me super fast. Than I asked him about the machine and he looked confused. My daughters were done playing and excited with there ticket reciepts as we waited for prizes and 5 employees walked by my kids several times with no acknowledgment. No "one second please" I wouldve settled for an "Im so sorry for your wait can you give us 5 minutes." Then i got a hold of the manager "Gilda" who was extremely rude to my 2 and 4 year old girls and was rushing them to pick a toy. She said what fo you want?! Rudely. She said call me when u pick without giving them a chance to think for .5 seconds. She made my 4 year old cry after they had a fun day playing. I asked Gilda "I thought this was a kids place?" She said it is. I said than can you be nice to the kids and give them a second? I continued to pay for my kids toys 5 dollars for a squishy ball cuz they didnt have enough tickets and were rushed. She shouldve gave them those cheap toys as courtesy for making them cry. Never again am I bringing my kids back. I talked to the cashier about my experience with her manager Gilda and she said everybody is quitting because of her and everyone complains. Maybe they should not have bitc**s working in a place parents take their kids to have fun. read more

I'm so disappointed with this place. First of all, I spent $40 on the lunch buffet. Most of the time, they were out of pizza and we had to keep checking the buffet to see the it had been re-stocked. We had to go back several times until there was finally pizza available. Honestly, it's a pizza place. How hard can it be to keep the pizza buffet stocked? They advertised on their TV there that their rides and games are wiped down every hour. That was not done once and we were there for over two hours. They were clearly short staffed! First of all when I got to the store stepped in there was nobody there to stamp us in, and someone almost completely left the store with a child that didn't get checked, he was literally at the door when someone approached him. Made me feel unsafe. Then we got to the counter the informed us it'll take an hour and a half for food, so at first we didn't order cuz we thought they might kick us out considering they closed at 9. When we discovered they wouldn't kick us out we ordered a large pizza and 4 drink meal. It literally only took 20 min to get our food she lied, I feel cuz she didn't want to help us. After we continued to play my daughter tapped her card we were ready to play then the games literally just shut off the machines, my daughter immediately started crying, keep in mind she's 4 years old. I couldn't believe there was no warning given or any notice, I admit I lost track of time having fun with my family, I feel they could at least give an announcement warn people, so that they may warn their children. There were multiple crying children I couldn't believe they would just shut down like that. My daughter cried for over 20 min while I tried to put her tickets in the counter, which also sucked cuz they only had 2 ticket counters that worked!!!!!! They are understaffed severely especially during winter break. I didn't see chucky come out once!! I am so disappointed and dissatisfied. On top of that when they turned the machines off I still had time remaining on my card(I bought an hour of unlimited play) the manager seemed annoyed that I asked for credits on my card to make up for those 15 minutes I had left. I took my family here to celebrate my 3 year-old son's birthday (at his request). I used the coupon for one large pizza, four drinks, and 100 tokens for $44.99. I also purchased their boneless chicken wings. And later purchased their tater tots. We waited a long time for their food, but didn't complain since the kids and grandparents were having fun playing games. When our pizza came, the Manager said they were going to give us another pizza for free since the trainee cut the pizza wrong. There were two very thin cut slices, but that didn't bother me. The pizza and wings tasted good. Lastly, after waiting for the tater tots that we ordered, we asked a server about our order. I showed the server the receipt, and she apologized for the order mix-up. We were given order #61, but the receipt showed #60. They made us tater tots, and gave us another free order for the error. Out of it, we got a free pizza, and an extra order of tater tots. We went about 530pm, and they were under staffed. I have a lot of patience, and was happy with the results. May not be a place for somebody with no patience or a short fuse. read more

We took our 5 yr old grandson....and were pleasantly surprised how nice it was! The staff, people and kids were very nice - everyone was helpful and having a good time. The pizza was edible - did take a little too long to get to our table. I had coupons that I got from the website - made it a good deal and the coupons for extra tickets on the cups are great! Nice that each game only took 1 token. My grandson would have enjoyed having a skeeball machine in the kiddie area. He found lots to do - better than at other arcade places where he can't do too many of the games. Some of the games in the kiddie area are still too high/tall for the shorter kids - step stools around would be helpful. We loved the security at the entrance - felt comfortable letting our grandson wonder around by himself a little. Staff was limited - someone monitoring the arcade area would have been helpful when games weren't working/floor needed cleaning up. So I was super excited to book my daughters 3rd birthday at Chuck E. cheese. I called the party line and set it up. I got a call from the actual Valencia location asking for $50.00 deposit and was told I should have paid it when I booked the party over the party hotline. I explained I wasn't asked and that why it didn't get paid. Ruby advised me to pay within the next two business days at the location Valencia. I went in the next day and paid the $50.00 with Isabelle the host at the cashier. A week later I received a call from Ruby again being told I was going to have to pay the $50 in order for me to keep my party booked. I called her back and advise that I did pay and she asked for the receipt number date and time. Gave her the information and she said great the party is set we'll see you then. Two days ago I just got another call from Chuck E. Cheese's her name was Arian. She was very rude when leaving the voicemail advising me that she's calling to check to see why I haven't paid the deposit and that the party was going to be canceled if I didn't pay. Called her back and informed her that I did pay and that this was the second phone call that I had received about nonpayment. At this point I was no longer satisfied with the service I decided to cancel the party and asked for my $50 deposit back which then I was put on hold for 10 minutes and when she came back on the line I was told her manager advised her that they do not refund deposits. I cancelled and she had the nerve to ask you still want to have the party. Just disappointed in Chuck E. cheese with their poor customer service would've loved to have my daughter's birthday party here. read more
