We had a party for my niece "Pickle" here in Vancouver, WA. it was awesome. She had a ton of fun... and so did I. She and her Uncle had a lot of laughs playing games together. She's pretty competitive for a teenager. It was an early Saturday party that wasn't a busy time. Smart Tip. We really didn't wait for games and it wasn't that loud. I mean, Chuck E. Cheese is always kinda loud but the kids love it. We didn't buy a salad but the salad bar looked delicious. We did get a couple pepperoni and cheese pizzas and they were delicious. We actually really like this place. Food was good, staff was friendly and my granddaughter loved it. Might be because it was during the week, but it was pretty empty and super clean. We actually really liked the pizza and the chicken wings. When you go there the first time and sign up you get some free tickets too, so that gave my grandkid a few extra little toys from the redemption area. I had to shove my chair(it's 26") in between the basketball game and the carousel to get towards the fire exit which was concerning. We all know places like this are overpriced for everything, but I feel like this is the worst place for arcade play in the area as it's super hard to obtain many tickets unless you accumulate over many visits. I only went because my 5 year old hadn't remembered coming here, so we spent a couple of hours eating and playing games. I ordered a salad bar for me and a personalized pizza with pepperoni for my daughter. The personalized tiny pizza was 15$, with pepperoni added. I couldn't believe it, but whatever. She took a few bites and didn't like the taste. We also did a 60 min play card, which has a 30% discount on Wednesdays that I didn't know about, so that helped the cost some for this expensive day. The ticket output for the games is not on par with other arcades for similar games. 10 tickets for the piano key game when we get 50 elsewhere. My daughter had fun, tho but I doubt we will come again anytime soon. Be sure to download the app and get 500 free points to redeem with your tiny amount of points from the play card so you can at least get something other than a piece of candy for like 200 points. read more

We did a birthday party here recently for our son. We did the package that was $29/child. Each child got 2 hours of play, 2 slices of pizza, a drink and Dippin dots. It was a great experience. Setup and clean up were all taken care of, and since we didn't have a huge party, I felt like it was reasonably priced. That being said, with a larger party, the cost could add up quickly. I think this review is more for Chuck E Cheese in general than this particular location, which I at least found to be pretty clean and the employees were nice and competent. My issue is that the "games" are low key terrible. I feel like 70% of them are a lot closer to slot machines than they are to actual games. The purpose is just to get tickets so you can "win" some junk that will end up in the trash, rather than to have have fun or challenge yourself. The games are designed to trigger addictive tendencies, not to create joy. I saw nothing that encouraged creativity, physicality, or other healthy childhood behavior. The playground areas I remember from my childhood and actual arcade games are gone. For me this was a great example of how gross, meaningless, and destructive capitalism can be. My guess is also that this place would be boring to anyone over the age of 7/8. read more

We had the grandkids over last weekend and we wanted to take them to Chuckie Cheese on a Friday night. The place was packed and super loud as always. I am not fond of the food here but it's always a good place for the grandkids to do some of the rides. The salad bar and pizza was decent . We had a couple of token cards left over from a Chuckie Cheese party in Tacoma. These are great because you don't have to carry and risk fumbling around with the token coins. I was super disappointed the restaurant here in Vancouver didn't accept the cards as they still use the old coin token system. read more

Overall I like coming here for a family day/night. The kids really love all the games and getting to interact with the characters. They also like the timed play cards. I like the time cards of unlimited play because then they don't just dump 30 tokens into a game in 5 minutes and be done. The staff is great! I can't imagine the patience it must take to work in this atmosphere. The pizza is good, but I held a star because the beer taps are still down. Are these going to come back at any point? Dip and Dots? Seven dollars and some change. Like what the heck, can you believe that? Unbelievable.

I wasn't sure I was going to give a four or a three star, but it a second visit I was able to bump it up. The visits were only a week apart and both times were fun. First time to a CEC since my own son was 5 yrs old and now we had his two sons there age 4 and almost 3. We were sure that there was going to be anything for the younger one, but they have it divided up nicely. It was a Sunday and sort of busy yet it didn't really feel that way. Pizza wasn't bad, which I remember from years ago they weren't so great. The second time we went back we all got the pizza buffet, drinks aren't included so it brings it up to around $10 a person. under 3 is free and the 4 yr old was just little over $7. As a note, the larger salad bar is cut down to just a bowl of of lettuce and a bowl of croutons and parm cheese for the buffet. That was a let down. Casey was great checking us in and asking what pizzas we might want up to two toppings of anything. They were very good with the kids here and one employee played the games so the little ones could grab a few extra tickets. That said, this is really where stars came off, it is ridiculous the way they have ticket redemption. Why not weigh them? I have been several places that do that and its so much faster than the stand in line and wait for your turn, like we did on the Sunday. It was a nightmare to be honest. Two little kids running around and lots people trying to redeem hundreds and hundreds of tickets. We had 455 tickets and lots of them only in strips off three or singles. This is the first time that I have been here since I was in elementary school. There are not very many tables, most of them are reversed for parties. This place seems smaller than before, they took out the mink play structure and the ball pit and they dont have the creepy looking chuckie cheese gang that used to sing to you while you were eating pizza, and it is more brighter in here than when I was younger. You have play cards that you load to buy, recharge, and pause to play games with. So basically its like a mini vegas casino for kids, at least they serve beer to the adults. For my 250th review I'm dedicating this one to The Tax Deduction. If you're single and not a parent just go right on by, there is nothing for you here in this review. This is not trendy or hip unless you're under the age of 12. This is not haute cuisine, this is not a place with a patio, this is a place where kids can get their kid on and parents can hang in there with them or hang at the table knowing they are in a safe environment. So move on hipsters, let the parental Big Dogs through. It was the Tax Deduction's sixth birthday and we asked him where he wanted his kids party. There was no hesitation, there was no thoughtful look, there was no indecision he wanted to party with a rodent. The Wife looked at me, smiled, and in her best Jean-Luc Picard told me to, "Make it so." To the internet! To my surprise you can plan out the whole ugly ordeal on-line! Everything from food for kids and adults to cakes and ice cream to parting gift bags for his friends. Click, click, click and before I knew it I was out $158. Upside was no kids running through the house, no clean up, no cooking and built in entertainment. For parents this is huge. Even more huge if you have antiques and collectible breakables in your home. Only downside really was a week before the party some entirely too perky teenager calls you to talk about the plan... you can smell the Clearasil through the phone. She tries to upsell you on everything while pointing out, not directly, that a good parent supplies these extras. Then a few days before the party she calls again on the same mission. The day before the party guess what? AND THEN, you finally arrive for the party thinking everything is handled and they try to upsell again and then get you to plan the time schedule of the party! Couldn't we have handled that on the three phone calls? I have to say, the food is really not too bad. The pizza is. However the salad bar is admirable, the chicken wings are okay and the drink selection is top notch. In the end the kids ran amok like squirrels on Red Bull, they played, they partied with a rodent (you could smell the Clearasil!), they won tickets and left with prize bags. The Tax Deduction had a smile on his face for days and that my single friends who are still reading this, is the whole reason we do what we do for kids birthdays. It is totally worth it. We've been here twice this month, and both times had a fun visit. Good customer service, better beer choices than Vegas (only 4 on tap, but not just coors and bud ;)), cheeeeesy cheesy bread, and fresh salad bar. Games are fun for all ages, and it wasn't too loud. Nice big windows let natural light in on the side where we sat, away from the stage area which seemed to have more Birthday party activity going on. Organized chaos. I have been to quite a few Check E Cheese establishments. By far this one qualifies as the most organized. It's still a chaotic and blood pressure raising place but it is organized. After ordering food and obtaining tokens we were seated at a table. Other Chuck E Cheese stores we've had to seat ourselves. It was nice not having to find a clean table for ourselves. The games are the standard ones you see at any of their other stores. They also had the toddler rides and climbing playground. The cleanliness was decent. All tables were bussed in a timely fashion. The salad bar (which I didn't eat from) was organized and tidy. The soda fountain was stocked and clean as well. Would I patronize this place again? Yes. I would probably try to go on a weekday during school hours though. read more

We decided to do our sons birthday party here this year and we couldn't be more happier with our experience. Our host took great care of us she set everything up (we had the package with goodie bags and ice cream and presentation was great) she kept track of the time with the whole program, was always there if we needed anything in general super helpful and great with our big group of little ones! I also appreciated that we didn't feel rushed even when our reservation was over we were still able to hang out and not in a hurry to leave our table. Also I wanted to add that originally we had our reservation for the next day but a few things came up and we called the day of to reschedule and they were able to do the party that evening and still provide the cake and everything! Had a less than fun experience here today. Our 5 yr old didn't understand about a game that gives a token to use when she scans her card. She pretty much used her whole card to get these tokens which end up being good for nothing. When we asked Grace how we could remedy this she was really rude and told my daughter she should have watched her child to see how she was using her card. We really just were asking if she would take the tokens and put the game play back on the card since the 5 yr old didn't understand. We had to ask for a manager who then told us she doesn't control how the games work but at least she was willing to take the tokens and put them back on the card. As we were leaving I let Grace know that I didn't appreciate her unhelpful comments she said " okay goodbye, you can leave now" in her snotty tone of voice, as we were walking out the door. Classy employee there Chuck e Cheese. We spent over $100 there today with our 5 kids. Guess we'll take our money elsewhere. read more

So, I hate the new card system. It was much better with the coins. I prefer doling them out amongst the kids I bring rather than having a time limit of play. When you have kids that are stopping play to eat or use the restroom the time runs out prior to them actually using the time. If you want to pause the time you have to do it all at a kiosk. Waste of money. read more

Went to the Vancouver location I was so disappointed. I took my 3 year old grandson. We haven't been there in a while but I go in buy food and got 200 tokens then learned that they no longer do tokens. They switched to cards. I used to had my grandson a token and let him play but you can't had a small child a card and say go play. They don't know how. Then to make matters worse they took out all the tubes and slides. Basically leaving a couple ride on toys for little kids. My grandson don't like ride on toys he likes tubes. I don't think we will be go back. It's such a shame my kids grew up going there and now they have ruined it. Chuck e cheese is supposed to be for all ages but they basically eliminate toddlers read more

Ok, here's the deal with any Chuck e cheese...you just need to ask yourself why you're going there. Is it for stellar pizza? NO! Is it for a great salad bar? NO. Is it for a good place to watch the game? NO. Is it a place for great service? NO (in fact you'll find a bunch of high schoolers working here). You go to a chuck e cheese so your kids can run around and play games for a reasonable price (or to go to a birthday party), and that's what you'll find here. The people that rate this place based on one food poisoning experience I just don't get - that happens everywhere no matter the kind of restaurant and I promise that if you go here 1000 times, that'll happen maybe once. I read a lot of reviews before going here that complained of bad service and unfriendly staff and poor food quality. But we took it with a grain of salt because we knew we were going to Chuck E Cheese (for our first time), not a gourmet pizza joint. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. Even the guy who is in charge of maintaining and fixing the games and rides came to our table and offered his services if we needed anything. We were constantly checked on. I was actually surprised by the quality of the salad bar. There were beets, sesame seeds, sesame sticks, romaine (not iceberg), cottage cheese, chopped eggs and anything else I could want on a salad. The pizza was ok, I barely had a bite because I ate my salad but it's fit for consumption and my husband enjoyed it. The games and rides are cheap, they don't rip you off by requiring more than one token so you end up paying 25 cents each. The mouse in the suit was there a few times in the 1 1/2 hour that we were there. We had never been and we went to bring our two year old and had a great time. People need to remember this is a place for KIDS. Don't go for YOU. Go for your little one. People complaining of loud kids running around need to get a grip. read more

Noisy fat kids running around stuffing their faces with pizza tripping over high chairs while their parents protect their own nose rings in case a kid rips out by accident in excitement. Salad bar is at least a palatable option. You know I always say a place should be judged according to how well they accomplish what thy set out to do... I have been to this location a few times and have always had a good experience. The pizza is a little expensive but it's what to expect from this type of place. The pizza itself is really good for a place geared towards kids. I also like that all the games take only one token. The main reason for the five star rating was when I had my sons birthday party there. The price was really reasonable compared to other birthday party options. Then when you get there they have a dedicated party host that does everything for you. She got us the coins took the pizza and drink order and served the kids when the food came. I came here for my little brothers' birthday party. The staff were nice and helpful. Their pizza game is strong, and I got a cool cup with a thermal straw. But unfortunately some of the games were broken or getting there. Sometimes it took 5-6 swipes of your card to even get it to read it and half the time it read it wrong. The cake was good, probably box cake, nothing too special to rave about. But the real disappointment was in the ice cream. It had no taste at all. When you get vanilla ice cream you expect it to taste like vanilla bean, sweet and wonderful, this tasted like frozen colored sugar water.
