Update: my wife was reached out to last week and given the tickets we won. This was not because of this review or any social media post. This was because she directly put a complaint on the web site sending the proof. So if you have issues, go there. I have updated my star rating to three. As I'm glad we were given the tickets, it took a long time and should have happened quicker, and with less effort once proof was supplied. Original review with my experience: I never understood why this place had such low ratings until today. I've been here many times (we basically go monthly) since they opened and spent easily thousands of dollars. Today my son was playing a game (Boardwalk Big Spin) and the arrow very clearly landed on the 1000 prize, (as you can see in my attached pictures) but we were only awarded 8 tickets. We immediately found a member of the Mechanic Team who validated that the machine wasn't calibrated correctly. We watched him spin and it was way off again what he should have won. We took a picture of the arrow before the team member did his test as evidence just to make sure. We were instructed to speak with a manager up front. When the details of the situation were explained to the manager, Tanaya (not sure if that's spelled correctly), was very cold in demeanor and simply stated they couldn't give us the tickets my son rightfully won. Not an ounce of customer service or even any type of accountability. She even spoke with the mechanic team member and we also told her we have a picture of the situation and she was unwilling to hear us out. Her attitude toward the situation and lack of sufficient explanation was truly unprofessional. If this was the difference between 8 tickets versus, say 75 I wouldn't even be putting this in a review and probablywouldn'thave even reported it. If you look at my reviews you can clearly see I rarely write bad reviews unless truly warranted. As previously mentioned We frequent this establishment quite often and spend hundreds of dollars here each month. I'm hoping this helps inform upper management at this location on better practices to handle customer issues with this person who is in a manager role. I've worked in several different arcades throughout my youth and was even in management myself. I understand people trying to make claims or get away with certain things. This clearly was not the case here. Any type of empathy or kindness would have cooled the situation if she truly could not award the tickets. But nothing remotely close to tgat happened. Truly disappointed in a place I loved to frequent.

I come for the crane machines specifically, I've been playing them for 15 years, even in Japan, and I made a living off of them for 10 years. The way they stock these machines compared to the other Round 1s I've been to is beyond rigged. It's so bad that 90% of the time, they stock it so it's completely unwinnable to begin with. Very often, as my pictures show, they won't even stock them correctly. While I typically get a couple things, it's frustrating to want something and it being stuck. I've had to ask someone to fix it a few times I have fun, but giving myself a budget and not even being able to play for most of the things I like is pretty disappointing.

Weird anime place, ordered a beer and it came up short, started checking what the machine said I was winning in tickets and they were about 70% less when I went to scan my card to check my total tickets. Got a slice of pizza and it was good

It is way to pricey. We had two adults and one kid plus shoe rental and it cost $70 for two games of bowling. It is a really nice place but not worth it.

We were looking for a bowling alley to take the kids past 10pm and found Round1 and we were very impressed. It was clean and huge! The kids had a blast bowling and the there were games, arcade, and claw machines galore!!! There is food, we had just eaten dinner so we didn't order food but there is a full bar, pizza, burgers, ramen so a nice mix of both American and Asian food menu.

In my own opinion I think around One is the best arcade better than Dave Busters. The prices at Round One are of great quality. The food is great. The service is good. The place is clean. They mostly get modern arcade games and regularly. The prices have gone up a little thanks to the tariffs. The stuff keeps the crane games well stocked most of the time and currently when you have 80,000 credits you can get a PlayStation five. My current status on credits is over 520,000 so I know what I'm talking about. Come enjoy your time at round one in the Vancouver mall

My husband and I went in with the intention of getting ice cream and a drink at the bar but looked at arcade machines before ordering our treats- The place is very clean, and well organized, it seems overpriced when it comes to the arcade section but due to it being in a mall Im sure a lot of factors are involved with there and the prizes are cool. (ps5, controllers, candy, keychains etc.) we ordered our ice cream at the self pay kiosk and someone quickly came to make two cones for 3.98. We ordered our drinks shortly afterwards and we were greeted by the same lady who made our icecream. She was quick and respectful when she provided us service. While my husband and I were sitting, enjoying our drinks a man who seemed to have been the manager-strongly approached us by saying in a demanding tone, "Can I help you two?" And we had two full drinks in-front of us so I said, "No, someone else helped us already thanks." Then he pointed at both of us and said "Then please move, theres others behind you, thanks" we moved without saying anything but we quickly finished our drink and walked out. The chairs we previously sat on, shouldn't be placed there if thats designated for ordering, as well as the menus and anti-slip drink pad. The lack of mannerism from him was a bummer to experience. Wont be visiting again! Thanks to the miss who made our ice creams and beverages!

The two separate areas for the bowling is a nice feature (if you want something a little more quiet or less crowded). There appears to be a big meeting area in between for parties. Lots of game options and then the sports area (pool tables and lots of seating). We truly only experienced bowling and the service related to that. We did the VIP experience for our 9 people and had two servers for us. We ordered drinks via the QR code and they came out relatively quickly. We did a couple appetizers while bowling - the spinach artichoke dip and some cold cheese dip with potato chips. Both were fine, bar level nothing to really write about. The thing I remember is that one of our lanes kept having issues switching between players and the other kept having the balls get stuck at the return. Otherwise, they were playing 90s-00s music videos that were totally my jam. Can't complain about that!

Lots of "prize" games but very pricey & of course, the kids we brought wanted to win the big stuff like a brand new Nintendo Switch or PS5. Unfortunately one kid walked away with nothing (as a mom, totally expected that to happen. These games don't allow winners.) but my son spent probably 20+ dollars on a stuffed animal so I guess for him, it wasn't a total bust. The parking lot was pretty full, and I learned walking in that there was a bowling league there. Busy lanes! I can't speak to the food but did get a Bloody Mary which was decent enough. She and I chose King Pins. Well I technically chose them as the bowling was the least expensive in the area. And for us two, for 90 minutes, it was almost $70. Yes. That's EXPENSIVE. So we made the most of it and had a great time. We played with all the options in the bowling area for games and were silly and had fun. And clearly didn't bowl well lol But despite the price - fun was had. Service is okay at best over by the "Tap house," but at least the option exists to have "table service," while you bowl. It was a last minute ask (thank you, dear child *eye roll*) that I was able to book at a preferred time in under a week, and the kids had fun, which is what mattered most! From start to finish, service was spot on: we were met by Coleton who walked us through the logistics & timing, as well as helped with some changes I requested due to attendance, and our server was Paige who made sure the boys never went without beverages. Pizzas came out quickly so the kids were able to eat & bowl, and everything was timed to perfection so they were able to sing to the Birthday Boy and enjoy cake before heading over for some Laser Tag & arcade time to end the festivities. It was also great to have a table reserved in the arcade area for belongings & whatnot, which also allowed some pitchers of beverages for the rest of the time. The space itself was immaculate and staff was buzzing around to keep tables turned over, bowling balls replaced to their rightful homes for future bowlers and the restrooms (at least the ladies!) were also clean (I know that can be a big deal for families, especially with Littles). All in all, I'd say this was money well spent, especially considering everything that is included in the package. For 7 total kids, I think they played 3-4 games of bowling, we did 2 laser tag games & their arcade time, didn't have to set up, break down or clean up party supplies/food, etc -- id do it again in a heartbeat!
