Wonderful atmosphere, super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Fiance and I came for a little anniversary dinner and Chuck's did not disappoint - Jason was our server, he was right about everything he recommended, so ask for him if you can. Can't wait to go back!

Another night another venture out to dinner with my coworker. This time the quest was for fish so off to Chuck's Fish! We fought the traffic amazing how traveling just 4.5 miles from your hotel takes well over 25 minutes. Huntsville has definitely exploded. We loved the decor and high ceilings very cool. As someone else mentioned in a review very cool to see the bar, sushi area and the cooking taking place in plain sight. We got there at 6:00 and by the time we left the place was crowded. Our server was great. She knew the menu and gave us great advice. My coworker ordered a rosemary old fashioned and I went with a local amber beer. For dinner, I opted for the grilled redfish over rice pilaf which comes with a creamy peppercorn sauce. My coworker went for the red snapper with artichoke hearts. We enjoyed the dishes. My fish was seasoned nicely and the rich cream sauce made me feel guilty but boy was it good. I thought both our portions were sizable. I was surprised that the redfish was $38... but like we all know everything has gone up! We both were stuffed and had no room for dessert. But we will be back next trip to try something else!

Pizza was okay, I did like the hot honey topping on top of the Pizza. My husband loved his Yellowedge Grouper and the rice pilaf and vegetable medley that came with it. Service was great. It is one big open place with plenty of space for large groups and plenty of bar seating.

This place is AMAZING!! We can't wait to visit again soon! Pricing is also reasonable especially with quality of food/service!! We ordered snapper throat for appetizer and smoked tuna dip both were so good!! I didn't get pics of dinner plates but I did get one of an appetizer. The ambiance reminds me of New Orleans style and it's beautiful! I can't say enough about this place! I definitely recommend this place!!!

One of my favorite restaurants. Always fresh and presented well. Not a chain with great specials.

Loved the atmosphere and loved the food. I spend a lot of time in Florida and the Grouper Piccata was amazing. Wonderful flavor, but I vote for the rice. The potatoes are great, but rice is a better pairing. We sat outside for a family birthday. Wonderful menu and attentive helpful service. I highly recommend it. My one complaint is the 2-3% Cliff Farm development fee, but that isn't their fault. Why exactly are we paying this? Definitely give them a try. You won't regret it.

Another win for Madison--with a few disclaimers. I first attempted to visit Chuck's Fish a couple of weeks ago with my daughter, but we were turned away due to their internal practice of hosting a "friends and family night." Since our names weren't on the list, we had to make other plans and ended up at Stoney Grill, where we had a five-star experience. Fast forward to tonight--my daughter wanted seafood, and despite my initial hesitation (I didn't want seafood tonight), we decided to give Chuck's another shot. I'm glad we did. The restaurant has a cozy and unique atmosphere. The lighting is somewhat dim, and the walls are a bit cluttered with abstract art, giving it some distinct character. One of the highlights is the story of Chuck and his connection to some of our state's most pivotal civil rights moments--you can read about it on the menu when you visit. Chuck is or was a good man, even if we was an attorney. Now, on to the food. My daughter, who is notoriously picky, loved the Seafood Gumbo--so much so that she had two servings. Then she moved on to sushi. Then grouper. Every dish got top marks from her. As for me, I opted for pizza, which turned out to be phenomenal. Just a note: the "hot" in the Hot Homey Pizza description refers to heated honey, not spiciness--a great touch. Service started off slow after we were seated, testing my patience a bit. But once our server arrived, she was attentive and on top of things, making up for the wait. Normally, I like to give a place a few visits before reviewing, but this was an easy five stars in spite of the wait. Just keep in mind--Chuck's Fish isn't the place to come if you're in a hurry, and it's probably not ideal if you're watching your budget the day before payday. But if you're looking for great seafood in Madison, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I expect the service will only get better from here.

This spot is a local staple for me whenever I'm in town. The fish is fresh from the Gulf, and the service always feels top-notch. The vibe is relaxed but slightly elevated--definitely one of the best seafood spots in Huntsville. The red snapper throat is consistently a standout: crispy, tender, and just plain special. Our party also had the Parmesan-crusted grouper, cooked perfectly. We also tried the triple fin with lemon and butter, and I couldn't resist the crab-stuffed shrimp--so good. The service really makes the experience, and it's consistently worth every visit.

4.5/5 stars. Would highly recommend getting reservations, even though the space is large it gets busy especially on weekends. Upscale, seafood restaurant, with fresh options and weekly specials. Diverse menu with anything from fish entrees - sushi - pizzas and steak. Appetizers: $24 for poke nachos, can get them for less else where, however they were a fairly large portion with fresh tuna. Just not worth the $24 to me. Entrees: stuffed grouper special, served with jalapeño cheddar grits and asparagus. Very delicious buttery and served with a grilled lemon! Husband ordered the artichoke red snapper with risotto. I must say the risotto was better than the grits! Just ooey gooey perfection. Once again buttery flaky fish with the perfect sides. Topped with sautéed artichoke hearts. They have secret menu items, mainly sushi, (be sure to ask about them, because our waitress didn't inform everyone)! Upscale restaurant, fresh seafood, lovely decor and ambiance. A little crowded but a lot of dining space to choose from. Overall, lovely seafood addition to Huntsville that we so desperately needed. Can't wait to come back and try other menu items because there's a lot to choose from

My friends and I arrived Sunday around 5:30 pm, party of 3, no wait. The atmosphere upscale, with an eclectic classy type of vibe. Our waiter Dillon was very good. I had the Grouper Piccata, my friends ordered Sushi. They were both excellent. .

Whoever the Sushi Chef is here is clearly the best in this area. Not only was the taste off the charts, but the presentation looked like a piece of art. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was top notch.

I have to begin this review with AMBIANCE it was so beautiful ( reminds me of Bravo) The lighting and interior touches create a space of love for your whole family or significant other. The service was good. We were kindly seated and served promptly with respect. A few at our table ordered cocktails to begin. The margarita was served in a tall glass ( i prefer short) and was wayy too sour as if the fresh made sour had gone bad lime went bitter. The old fashioned was made well and Cabernet ( Daou) was superb. Entrees were made well but nothing on the menu peaked my interest. I do think the menu needs revision.

Everything about this place was A+++. The food was terrific and the service was great. We are already eager for our next dinner here.

There's ample parking and the interior looks nice enough; kind of a fun Italian mafia theme with lots of comfortable booths and an attractive bar with a good TV. Both the restaurant and the women's restroom were very clean. We entered right after opening but were made to feel quite welcome by the waitstaff. Our waitress brought our menus, including a lunch menu! I love a lunch menu. My mom and I both ordered the lunch portion of the spaghetti carbonara. She enjoyed her sweet tea and I had a diet soda. The entrees come with a piece of garlic bread. I thought the portion size and price were both perfect for a lunch serving. The garlic toast was crispy and buttery. We enjoyed our spaghetti carbonara. It's not made with eggs and cheese in the traditional way, but instead uses Alfredo sauce, which is a little disappointing to me. I remain on the hunt for that kind of carbonara in Huntsville. Still, it was a good Alfredo sauce, the pasta was cooked well, and there were ample little bacon bits. Pleasant visit, nice place for lunch -- give them a try for some solid American-Italian food if you're in the area!

When we got into the parking lot, we thought they were closed - not a car in sight. But I saw a tiny open sign and insisted that between that, and the hours on their website, they must be open. My friend and I insisted differently. She went in and, guess what? They really were open! When we walked in and saw a sign for happy hour. Bonus! We were set. We each bought a draft for a dollar off and purchased a few of the $5 apps. The garlic knots are noted in several reviews so that was a no brainer. We also ordered the beer cheese with pretzels and our friends ordered the spinach dip with tortilla chips. I can't tell you how many beers there were, let's just say plenty. The beer was icy cold, perfect for another 95 degree day. Yelp didn't disappoint, the garlic knots were soft, pull apart deliciousness. The accompanying pizza sauce was just ok. The beer cheese as good. The accompanying pile of soft pretzel bites would have been better without so much salt. I didn't try the spinach dip. Nobody else seemed very thrilled with it. It came with tortilla chips - I don't know what kind they were but even they didn't look good. Beer Hog is designed for fun. Pool tables, dart boards, a small arcade, indoor corn hole and an array of daily activities including Harry Potter trivia night, line dancing night and live music on the weekend. There was quite a bit of patio area which will be great once our inferno weather pattern breaks. There are a couple rooms available to rent for various size events. We spoke with one of the 3 owners. The three of them designed and built out the entire interior. The owner we spoke with told us how they built the bar and every table in the building. They did a great job identifying and executing the unusual repurposing of the old library. Now that school is restarting, patrons need to mindful of afternoon traffic. If you don't know Hughes Road, just know it's a zoo when all of the schools let out. We'll definitely be back. The garlic knots alone are enough to guarantee that.

We were there for a late lunch, so we basically had the run of the place. Our server was very sweet, non-intrusive, and--though she did forget about a caesar salad until reminded after entrees were served--overall did a great job. Drinks were refilled promptly, etc. The food? Eh, it was fine. The garlic styx (why do they spell it this way, ARGH) were pizza dough, not actually "bread," and holy CRAP was there a lot of garlic on them. I mean entire cloves coating it. I don't mind garlic so I wasn't mad, but it was a bit much. The side of marinara was adequate in both taste and volume, but tasted jarred. I got the 10-layer eggplant. Now, I love eggplant parm and I see where they were going with this, but it was just SO cheesy. I love cheese and marinara and eggplant and all that jazz, but this singular dish probably contained 2 lbs (no joke) of cheese condensed into a 5"x5" square. I know there was eggplant in there (finely sliced, like on a mandolin thin). I know there was sauce in there (there was some swirled around the dish). However, all I could taste was...cheese. This is the first, and likely will be the last, time I ever complain about too much cheese. Practical notes: I didn't see any super dinginess like other reviews state, but I also didn't go to the bathroom. Your mileage may vary. Parking is a niiiiiiiightmaaaaaaare even when the restaurant isn't busy. Make sure your parallel parking skills are up to date or try and squeeze into one of the lots. Portions are large, so order accordingly. If you order something with cheese and are even remotely sensitive to dairy, bring your Lactaid and triple the dose. NOTE: this is not actual medical advice.

We stopped by Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza on a whim. We were headed to check out Indian food. Walking inside we could see a room with people drinking beer. We ordered The Patriarch which is like a supreme pizza and the Italian salad. We were given a pager and told when it went off we could pick up our foods at the pick up counter. The Patriarch was a thin crust pizza similar to a supreme. The toppings were good but sparse. I would have preferred more meats and red sauce. The crust wasn't as crunchy as I like. I cut the pizza with a knife and fork. I didn't get the wood taste like I did on the other pizza I ate that was wood fired. 3/5 The Italian salad was made of fresh greens and included basil and some shaved Parmesan. The Italian dressing was bottled I believe but good. 4/5 This pizza restaurant is convenient by a brewery. If you indulge too much on the brews, you can get a bite to eat without leaving the building. If you are near Campus 805, aka former Stone Middle School, this restaurant is in the backside. The pizza underwhelmed me on this visit. I will return to try something else. 3/5
