Absolutely would not recommend Chuck's if you are a female. I tried 4 times to get them to send their FFL license to an online dealer for my shipment. I went by, called, and both my online dealer and I emailed them to try to get a simple request taken care of. The two men I dealt with were snarky and condescending. Took my business elsewhere and they sent their FFL license while I was on the phone--Brilliant!! New to Atlanta, but not new to dealing with firearms. The new location of Chuck's on Miami Circle is bigger and better than the store on Peachtree, and the tradition of service and straightforward up-to-date information continues. I always enjoy my trips to this Atlanta landmark, and can still drop in and visit the Fish Hawk for fly fishing stuff just across the street! While they do sell high end, beautiful, legacy type firearms, and someday I may get a Silver Pigeon or a Guerini, my purchases have mostly been functional hunting firearms at competitive prices. I probably could have saved 20 bucks buying from a big box outdoor store, from a clerk who was working in the camping department last week, but for the best real world knowledge about the right firearm to purchase, firearm fit, and the best service after the sale, I have always sent my friends to Chuck's. Everyone I have ever referred there has been completely satisfied. All experienced shooters know that most brands/models of firearms have quirks and unique design features. Some weapons simply function better with different brands/weights of ammunition, some accessories fit better and last longer than others, etc. I love the M2 Benelli I purchased, but it took a little adjustment and advice at Chuck's before it became my favorite duck gun. I've been a Chuck's customer over 40 years and since my last Yelp review was in 2010 - thought it was time to update. read more

Nice store, high end , some knowledge, but website is not correct description of what they are. They know little to nothing about antique guns or military rifles, and do not do on site free evaluations of those guns. I walked in with mine and was told they don't do that, differeant than what the website says. read more

I had a very good experience at Chuck's today buying my first (and hopefully only ever) firearm for home safety. The gentleman at the store were knowledgable and kind and helped me feel as comfortable as possible in, what was for me, a purchase I didn't want to make. The only reason I gave one star less is that the guy who personally helped me was not a regular employee there and kept trying to sell me things because "he liked them" even though the regular store employees were saying they weren't necessary since I'm not a gun enthusiast and will only be practicing for gun safety, rather than "fun". I would most certainly go back here if I have any other firearm needs and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in the market. read more

The store is nice, fire arm prices are fair and the selection of shotguns is nice... but it ends there... Bought a .22lr from them on saturday... came in Monday to snag some ammo.... 2500 rounds of .22lr on the shelf, he tells me he doesn't have a single one in the store, then said if i bought a gun he could sell a few 100, told him i did and he went back to not having 1 round of .22lr in the store, said call him in a week....If you are going to price gouge on gunbroker go for it... but don't lie to me like I am stupid... Just remember the stores that pull crap like this to make a quick buck when the market is rough. Once it bounces back don't give them a dime. You are better off going to Tucker Gun, CJI, Range Gun and Safe or Palmer Tactical... read more

Best gun store in the southeast. Period! High end to really solid pre-owned. Cooper, Merkel, Ed Brown...they have the hard to find guns along with Browning and Beretta staples. Also, the antiques in this place are really cool!!! Staff is personable, but hey, it's a gun shop not a daycare, so adjust your expectations accordingly. read more

I recently went to Chuck's to buy my first pistol (Sig Sauer P226 MK25), and was really impressed with the knowledgeable staff, and selection of firearms. I prefer to shop local, so stopped by Chuck's. For a Christmas present I needed 300 Win Mag 180 grain. Stating the request upon entering the store, the salesman was short, dismissive and generally unhelpful. He finally produced the last box in the store, after making me call family for clarification on the maker (I admit, I am not a hunter, but know enough to know the maker doesn't matter). I would have walked out had I not needed these for Christmas and had been to another location. Think twice before giving them your business. read more

I have visited Chucks on 3 occasions (twice to receive firearms sent via mail and once to purchase a new one from them). I continued to go back only because they were the most convenient FFL dealer for me and I thought that surely they were just having an "off day" or something. Each time it was clear that my presence was pretty inconvenient and that they did not value my business. I received short and snappy answers to my questions regarding a potential new firearm purchase. I ended up driving 30mins away to buy the same gun for only a few dollars cheaper. Id rather support a smaller dealer than the big box stores but the horrible service and attitude were a huge factor in my decision to take my $ elsewhere. I have spoken to others who had similar experiences as well. I will not ever go back to this establishment and would caution others against it as well. If your looking for customer service with a decent attitude I'd say find somewhere else to spend your hard earned dollars. read more
