I would give a zero if I could. I took my Cadillac SRX to these slow mechanics. They told me it was my board something blowout. Basically, they replace that it would drive again. Called me two days later and said that was not the issue. So now I was going back and forth about why would you say that after running test stating that is what the test came back to be. Chuck charged me $730 still when that was not the issue. Then told me the next day it was something else wrong. Turns out the second issue was not it either. Chuck charged me for a test that wasn't even the problem with my truck, charged me to take engine apart. This garage never discovered what the real issue was. The total I paid to this company was $1826 for me to still have to get my truck towed back to me and my engine in pieces in my backseat. When I called because I was so pissed about my engine not put back together just thrown in my backseat. Chuck said it would be a charge to put engine back together which he stated $750. AMAZING customer service! BEST oil prices I've seen! GREAT JOB every time I come here, whether it's for oil changes, leaks, new breaks, etc. You won't feel like you're getting ripped off here at all. I came here and had 4 or 5 leaks/issues. I couldn't afford all of them without crunching my pocket...so they told me what leaks/problems really needed to be fixed that day and the other couple I could wait on. I appreciated their honesty and not pressuring me to spend more. They also gave me a loaner car for a couple days because I had a business trip planned and needed a vehicle. I am done with Chucks garage. Mike has let his business turn into just another sleazy auto repair rip off joint. Overpriced, rude and indifferent. When I found this garage 12 years ago I was happy to find someone who was friendly, honest and fair. I made many recommendations to family and friends, they too were happy with their service. It used to be the kind of place you felt confident recommending to a friend because you knew they wouldn't get taken advantage of. Apparently that philosophy has changed! Now that they found a little success, thanks to people like me, they don't need to worry about service or honesty anymore. 11-28-22 I referred my daughter to Chucks garage because my brother and fiancé have taken their card their for repairs and they were pleased. The car was taken there two weeks ago. They never called to update on progress my daughter had to call. The first call she was told it was a sensor costing 400.00. She paid for the sensor. They supposedly fixed the sensor. She called back to check on the progress and was told it was not the sensor and that they would have to check deeper into what was going on. She called a few days later and was told she needed a motor and the price would be 9000.00. She declined to have it fixed. Well she went to pick up her car the didn't put anything back together, oil rags left under the hood. And all of her parts that were taken off under the hood of the car was thrown on the passenger side of the car screws and all. And let's not forget the lady at the desk. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because the people were at least friendly (or hospitable) Other than that with the price I paid and the result of work done, it would be one star or NONE. I won't go into detail because it is my intention to pursue this matter by whatever legal means I have at my disposal, if necessary. In a nutshell, I purchased a brand new starter elsewhere about a year or so ago because my car occasionally would not start when I turned the ignition key. Even after a friend and I put the new starter on (which took less than 20 min because the starter could easily be reached from underneath the hood), it still occasionally would not start. I took it to Chuck's several days ago, they diagnosed it and told me I had a bad spot on my starter. They charged me $191.00+ for a new starter plus another $158.00+ for labor...yes, that's right I paid a little over $348.00 for a diagnosis and new starter and installation. Shortly after, I went to start my car and...guess what....the same problem. I took it back, after some deliberation they took the car checked it out and said they could not find anything, but they knew I was telling the truth because I had video proof, I even had to call a tow service to help me get it started. They replaced the starter this time, not with a new one, but a "re-manufactured" one. Again driving around, after making several pit stops, I get in to start my car and NOTHING! It eventually started after a while. I called Chuck's Garage immediately after getting home. I went back to them again, not yelling and screaming although I had reason to, I was very civil and calm about the situation....That's when they told me that my car had two problems...my original starter was bad (?) and now I had an undiagnosed problem which I would now be charged an additional diagnostic fee, which would be close to $100.00 ADDITIONAL....my car is doing the same exact thing it was doing prior to me taking it there in the first place! I decided not to leave my car there...$348.00+ for a re-manufactured starter and the same problem. All I wanted was a good reliable place to get my vehicles serviced and MY CAR FIXED! read more

If your thinking of using chucks garage for your auto repair I would suggest looking elsewhere.In my opinion they charge outrages prices.you can find many repair shops that are much cheaper for quality work.the positive reviews posted on there web site make you think they are way cheaper than going to a dealership for repairs. Don't believe everything you read. They quoted me over $600.00 for a repair I got done at a local GM dealership for half the money. The two actuators I needed cost 120.00 retail. They wanted $500.00 more for labor. It only took the dealer one hour to replace the two parts. On top of that they wanted to do an oil change with only 1500 miles on my oil. read more

I was referred to Chucks garage by 2 friends. Unlike them my service was HORRIBLE. I was told the part I needed to fix my car. I ordered the part twice both times I was told it was the wrong part. So I opted to let them order the part....once again I was told the part didn't fit. So they were going to order the part from the dealer with an upcharge. At this point I order the part from the dealer myself. When I called to let them know I would be towing my car to the dealer. I was told they could make the part they ordered fit. I said no. Then all of a sudden they found the right part. I'm over it at this point so I said just fix my car after one lie after the other. I think they made that part fit. I asked for a discount they took $50. I spent over a $1000 abd they only took off $50 smh. I advise anyone to steer away from this shop. I felt I was taken advantage of. They were not sympathetic to my concerns. I think they are all about the money. They drop you off in your own car and picked me up in my car. I complained about that and the respond that's what we do. I will never go to them again and I say the same to whom ever is reading this. A truly unhappy customer. read more

I took my car to Chuck's Garage after reading the rave reviews on Google. Unfortunately, my experience does not mirror theirs. Last week they inspected my air conditioning system and told me that I needed a new condenser because it was leaking. A $600 repair. Owner talked me out of a cheaper repair $275 because he said it wouldn't last so I replaced condenser. ONE WEEK LATER I turn on the a/c and it's blowing hot air again. I took it back and now he says it's the compressor another $800 for just the part!! Even though a week ago, he told me everything else was fine. How does a compressor that's fine fail a week later?? I would never have agreed to $1400 in repairs. Additionally, compressor was fine before, I don't know if it was damaged by their inspection. I asked for a settlement on the $600 since I have nothing a week later and he refused. In other words, spend more money or just too bad for me. I am very unhappy with my first experience with this company and will not do business with them again. I think he should have given me a refund of at least half of the $600 since it was a pointless repair supposedly warranted for a year that lasted ONE WEEK. read more
