They sold my daughter a vehicle that has already…read morebroken down, leaving her stranded in the middle of an intersection waiting for a tow truck -- and she hasn't even had the car long enough to get plates for it yet. It's still on a temporary tag. To make matters worse, she paid for an extended warranty, only to find out today that it was never even added to her vehicle. She had the car towed back to the dealership, and now they are avoiding her calls. This is completely unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to think twice before buying from them. better business bureau is next.

    I purchased a Jeep Wagoneer from another MotorCarsOnline location on December 8, but management at…read morethis Lansing location became involved when I attempted to resolve the issues that began shortly after the purchase. Unfortunately, the situation has now been ongoing for nearly three months without being fully resolved. Shortly after leaving the dealership and beginning the drive home, the vehicle started displaying electrical warning lights and sensor alerts. The vehicle was also leaking oil due to a loose oil filter that had not been properly tightened. When I contacted the dealership about the warning lights, I was told in writing that they "knew what the issue was" and that they had already spoken with their service department about it. Despite that, the vehicle still required diagnostic work at a Jeep dealership to address the problem. There were also issues regarding the spare key. I was told in writing that the key would go out in that day's mail, but that never actually happened. After several weeks of follow-up it became clear the key had not been mailed. While trying to resolve the missing key issue through this location, a staff member even asked whether I would be willing to sign an NDA before they sent payment for the replacement key, which was surprising given the situation. Another major issue has been the warranty paperwork. The warranty was supposed to reflect commercial use with unlimited mileage and a $100 deductible, since the vehicle was purchased in my company's name and is used for work. However, the warranty was processed incorrectly and has required additional time and effort to correct. I have made multiple attempts to resolve these issues directly with management, including speaking with the general manager, Mark, who informed me that the matter had been placed on Simone to handle. Despite that, I still have not received direct communication from Simone to finalize the remaining warranty correction. At this point, I am simply asking for the vehicle and warranty to reflect the terms originally agreed upon at purchase and for the remaining issues to be resolved. I hope the dealership will reach out so this situation can be resolved before I need to escalate the matter further.

My daughter's car was towed in for an evaluation and I got a call from Rod the co-owner of RMB. Not only did he tell me what he thought was wrong with the car , but he said it in a way I could understand it, and quoted me a great price! I am an educated, professional woman, but I know nothing about cars and I am sick of auto repair places that tell you something that you can't understand and get condescending when you ask them to explain (" it's OK little lady I'll take care of it")....and dealers are cost prohibitive. When I told Rod I appreciated the fact that he explained everything in plain English that I could understand, he informed me that his wife Maria (the other half of RMB) was responsible for that. Maria made him call back a client and explain after she overheard him on the phone with the woman. Thank you Maria. So to get to the point of this review....I like this couple, the repairs are a reasonable price and very good. I walked out of the shop and felt as though I had been treated fairly.....and not taken for a ride. If you are anywhere close to Lansing and need an auto repair shop try this one, you won't be disappointed.

    So I was born and raised in Mason and very familiar with The Back Room repair shop. I was…read moresurprised to find that they had never been reviewed especially since they have been there for years. I moved to Virginia in 2004. Well I came to town for hunting season and to visit family. Started my truck and a gauge was showing I had a problem. My oil pressure was maxed out. I didn't want to drive it because it could damage the motor, so I had it towed to The Back Room. Upon arrival they noticed I had Virginia tags. They immediately got to work on my truck. They called me within two hours after it arrived on the tow truck. He advised that he had already diagnosed the problem and went ahead and made the repairs. The service they provided was outstanding and I have never had a repair shop so attentive to a vehicle as they were mine today. The truck arrived around 11-1130 am and at 150 I got the call it was done! Now the price was a concern because I was traveling and it was money to be taken away from vacation money. When he quoted me the bill I was floored. The price was more than fair and honestly I had expected to pay a lot more. My truck is running great and I am extremely happy with the service I received. The technicians were extremely friendly and helpful. Whether you're a local or traveling and need your vehicle fixed The Back Room is your go to spot!
