They are always so friendly and put out great sammies every single time! I always order 2 large sammies: The Hogfather and the Spicy Daggett because they are frickin delicious! Be sure to add the Sriracha Mayo and Spicy Giardiniera Oil for some nice additional heat! Gioia's is now in my top 10 rotation for deli sammie places in the STL area and I'm happy to drive the 30+ minutes each way from home to eat their food! read more

Lives up to the hype! The delicious smell greets you when you walk in, and it gets better from there. I went with the hot roast beef on garlic cheese bread this time, but there are so many great options to choose from. The bread was fresh and toasted perfectly, and the regular size sandwich is very filling. I ordered a large sandwich to take half home for my husband for later. (I'm not sure how it will reheat, but it was too good not to share.) There is some outdoor seating, though this location is at the edge of a somewhat crowded parking lot on Ballas, so I might suggest eating inside if you can find a table, or taking it to go. I appreciated the detailed pickup instructions when ordering online. I knew exactly where to go to find my order. A simple sandwich order, hot beef on white, with pepper Jack and onions. 9in, au jus and a soda April 9th 3:40pm In the 12 bites it takes for me to eat the sandwich five didn't even have meat in them and the au jus gravy wasn't, it was some oil dressing concoction. Took the advice of the Yelp Army and decided to give Gioias a try. Located in a strip mall in Creve Coeur Missouri. Gioias Deli is a small drive outside of St. Louis and definitely worth a try. Are typically not sandwich people but today seems to be the lucky day. I've heard several great reviews of how good Gioias didn't disappoint. We visited during a Saturday lunch rush and got lucky as the line was not long. Gioias has a very diverse menu of sandwiches and salads and also serves chili. I asked a few patrons what their go to sandwich was and everyone said everything. That being said we went with the Spicy Daggett, Hot Italian and the Hot Roast Beef. All sandwiches were served hit. On fresh bread and loaded with condiments. Prices were reasonable and great portions. Seating at Gioias is limited but on a nice day like today, we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. You cannot get a better hot salami sandwich, then what Gioia's makes. All three locations are great. The employees are friendly and accommodating. The only bad thing about going to the hill is. It's very hard to find parking if you're going to the Hill location during the week most of the time the line is out the door, which means it's a great place to go. I had some friends visiting me from out of state and Gioias was on their food bucket list of things to try in St. Louis. I've never been here either and I'm always down for sandwiches. We got there probably at the tail end of the lunch rush. There was a line but it wasn't too bad of a wait. I ordered the hot salami sandwiches for my kids on the garlic cheese bread. And then I got the hot roast beef on the garlic cheese bread. The price was a little higher than I would normally pay but the portions are huge so I was fine. The sandwiches were soooo good! You can tell the bread was fresh and I really want to say their Mayo is house made or it's one I've never had because it was sweet tasting but complimented the sandwich well. On small business Saturday we wanted to show some love to our favorite sandwich shop in the Lou. Having Family in town for the holiday we had eager mouths to feed. The Gioia's West County, Creve Coeur, location was easiest for our pickup. We ordered online from a cell phone and found the process to be seamless. When we arrived for pickup, our order was ready and waiting. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The sandwiches hold for a good 30-40 minutes at least even dressed.
