Awful customer service. Waiter never came to refill our water glasses. When I asked for water, he asked that I wait until he was finished clearing the plates. Really? What takes precedent? Clearing the table or giving the customer a glass of water from the overly salted and expensive food. We ended up paying $900 for a dinner for 8 people and 2 bottles of wine. Not worth going. Not worth paying the money for eating here.

We sat outside on the patio surrounded by all the beautiful flowers and fountain. My husband said it was the best fish and chips he's had in a long time. They have a patio that's heated so you can comfortably eat on the patio. It's nice. Walk in to the main building and there is a long bar you can sit at or tables on the side and in a back room. Nice layout. Our server was great. Lots of fun. He didn't write anything down and got it all right. I asked him for a recommendation on an app cuz I wasn't that hungry. He said the feta burchetta. It comes in 4 huge pieces. More than enough to share. Piled high with tomatoes, cheese, onions, and you add your own olive oil and balsamic. It was very good. I ate 2. With a fork cuz it's big and awkward. Everyone else got different things 2 cheese burgers. Both said they were good and a nice chargrilled taste. Mussels and that was a good plateful. And the gyro sandwich. And that had 2 thumbs up. Oh and the French fries are really good. I stole a few. Crispy and soft in the middle. We weren't rushed we sat and talked and had a nice time. Prices were fairly reasonable. Our bill with tip and drinks was around $77 Canadian. So I but that really in the $60 range. I thought the apps were a bit expensive but as mentioned the portion was huge. So you gotta weight that. I'd definitely recommend.

This time we went in for a snack and boy did it hit the spot. I had the lentil soup which was pretty good after it was rewarmed. Also had the muscles in a garlic, white wine sauce with garlic bread. YUMMM (capitals intentional)! Hubby had the same soup and fried calamari. Service was attentive, polite and accommodating. Ambiance was really nice and open with a clear view of Queen St. We moved to the dining room inside as it still was a bit cool outside on the patio, despite the heater on the patio.

We were greeted by the host who led us to our table in the corner of the dining room. We had a perfect view of the dining room, bar, and kitchen who all looked like they were a great team back there. I love a small menu - you know everything is delicious! Our drinks consisted of: Winter Old Fashioned, Tom & Jerry, Dirty Martini's, espresso martini & the Flip. All were so so good. I was told the Flip was a custom creation by the bartender - was by far my favorite drink (and possibly favorite part of dessert)! Then onto the food... to start: house rolls were a must (we got the chicken liver mousse too but I liked the shallot butter more), and the bluefin tuna crudo and cured ora king salmon were all fantastic, exploding with flavor! For our entrees we did the pork rib chop and the elysian fields lamb saddle. Both delicious! The lamb was so good, however I think the chicory salad was a little too bitter for me. And for dessert we went with the Honey & chocolate, and the Financier (I think that's what they were called). It's like the courses just kept getting better and better.

However, the drinks were totally different in a great way! Not your average drinks. Very creative. Loved, loved the cucumber dish and the spicey perfect crudo. We didnt order the salmon but recieved it anyway and we were so glad bc it was one of favorites. It was silky salmon on an umami bomb of a sauce. I would say the least successful dish was the white fish (was is halibut or sea bass?!). It was in a curry sauce that was a bit muddled. It was still good but after the bright, fun, summery, perfect crudo, cucumbers and salmon, the curry was just too bland. Loved the service and the atmosphere.
