This is a chain restaurant with locations around the GTA and beyond. How did we end up here? Positive reviews about the quality of steak from a senior family member. Mind you their idea of good steak is the tenderness because of dental sensitivity. The atmosphere is bar. Menu has all bar related food items. There are 2 salads on the menu and sides consist mostly of potato items...think French fries, baked potatoes and mashed potatoes. Vegetables or salad is not part of the choice unless you count the little bowl of frozen corn that comes with most combos. Prices are not that bad. You can get a 7 oz top sirloin steak with sides (corn and fries) for $15.00. Surf (lobster tail) and Turf is under $30.00. If you want baked or mashed potatoes it's an additional $2.99. Unfortunately they have not updated all their menus as some of them still say 1.99. I would say the food was okay. The steak was tender but seasoning could be better. Service was good. We were checked on multiple time's despite it being quite busy. They have an interesting lunch menu with items staring at $9.00 and if it doesn't come within 15 minutes you get it for free. read more

Seeing some really poor reviews here which is surprising to me. Came here for the Wednesday special, which is a FULL RACK of ribs with fries for only $15. Place is pretty busy as I would assume others were there for the special as well. You can also get the half rack for $10 or half rack + wings for $15 as well. No sauce options for the ribs but you get to pick for the wings between your typical wing sauces. Ribs were pretty good imo. On par with your Montanas or Kelseys where they get the job done. Difference here is that they're only $15 for a full fack and it comes with fries. Literally have not seen those prices for comparable barbecue offerings anywhere. Fries were just your standard stuff. Service here is on the slower side as they only had about 3 waitstaff for the entire place, but food came out pretty quick, it was more so for drink refills or getting the bill where you notice the slow service. Just based on food I would give it a 3 but the value here is undeniable and makes it an easy 4 stars! I'd come here only for this special and nothing else! read more

Unfortunately, did not have a good experience. Not enough servers or kitchen staff - a very long wait for the food. Secondly, we stated how we wanted the steak but it was severely undercooked. We told the server so they brought it back to the kitchen to cook it more and it was still undercooked. They were also rude and nowhere to be found at some points. read more

I came here on a Tuesday around 6 pm. There was only one other table of 1 present and a group of 6 on their way out when we were entering, but later, two other small parties of 1-2 also came. Overall, I'd say it wasn't too busy but mind you, it was just after the long weekend and the place is quite small to begin with compared to their other location that I visited - truly a "one look sees all" type open concept. I really like the aesthetic of the bar. Cleanliness is something they could work on though as some tables were dirty with no customers, hence limited our seating options though being told to "sit anywhere" and there was a fly buzzing around our table the entire time which really ruined the experience. Service was friendly - though we didn't get menus right away, our server consistently came to check up on us throughout our meal. Food was also tasty. Spinach and goat cheese dip: an appetizer but ordered as a main. Very cheesy and yummy, not too heavy. Loved using the leftovers for fries we had at the table too. Chuck's burger: a good sized burger that's not too heavy as well. Good classic. Buffalo chicken quesadilla: pleasantly surprised by how much veggies they stuffed into here which also made it a more balanced meal. Again, not too heavy feeling. Based on my experience, the Eglinton Mississauga Chuck's Roadhouse is operated by stingy, shady, dishonest people who don't deserve my hard-earned dollar. My family used to go to the Dundas location. Today we decided to try the Eglinton location. We had a $5 off coupon from the Dundas location that had no restrictions or an expiration date written on it. I asked our waitress if we could use it and she said she'd have to check with the owner (?) or manager (?) Surjitpal, by phone. When I followed up later about the coupon, the waitress told me that her boss Surjitpal said they won't honour the coupon because it was from another location. Wow...! It wasn't the $5 that I was unhappy about, but the principle of it, because nowhere on the coupon did it restrict the location, it said valid at "Chuck's Roadhouse Bar and Grill". With drinks and entrees our bill was going to be around $100, so what a disgraceful way to treat us over a legit $5 coupon, which I would have given back as part of the tip anyway. So since the food hadn't arrived yet, our family decided to get up to leave simply out of principle. There's a dozen nice restaurants in walking distance and if they're going to be dishonest (the coupon didn't restrict location) and stingy ($5 off a $100+ tab) then I'm not rewarding them with my business. When we got up to leave, the waitress seemed panicked and said she'd honour it. What?? Then why not say that to START WITH? Sorry but the goodwill and good cheer we walked in with IS NOW GONE. When I declined her offer, she said she'd double it and take $10 off our bill. Unreal. If you had that authority, then why didn't you simply honour the $5 coupon to start with??? Too late. We were past that once we stood up to leave. Her boss Surjitpal showed me what kind of people they are, and not only did they lose several customers for life, but also anyone who might be influenced by this review. This location blew my mind from service to quality of food. Our server Aditya recommended the wings. I have travelled around the province as far north as Thunder Bay and from Windsor to Kingston. I tell you these are by far the best ones I have ever had. Not greasy. I ordered the one with bone in- usually the skin grosses me out. I couldn't tell if these ones had skin. They were so good!! We also had burgers, onion rings and for dessert Chucks Buckaroo. Everything was delicious. I had been to other Chuck locations. This place really goes the extra mile to make you happy. . Went in on the Superball night. Good thing we got the last table that have view to almost every TV. Definitely a good place to watch sports while enjoying dinner and drink. There was a supervisor or owner to remind the servers so STC least or was somewhat organized otherwise it would have been much slower with the restaurant full. Purposely picked this place as the price is cheap compared to other franchises. My friend ordered the 7oz steak set and I ordered the 2 for 1 chicken wings special. I liked the wings quality but the sauce is a different matter. Hot sauce was not really spicy, it was more sour. My friends steak was tender so she liked it. Walked in to the smell of grease and the cleanliness was lacking. Broken hand dryer in men's washroom. Slow service, server kept disappearing and was not very customer oriented at all. We waited 10 minutes for drinks and ended up ordering all at once. Asked for another round of drinks (soda) and never received them. The restaurant had 3 other tables (11 other patrons). Sadly this location is very disappointing. The food orders are often "forgotten" by the wait staff. The food is typically bland. The wait staff could not move any slower. The only thing they had going for them was cheap beer - but watch out for the "honest to goodness" extra tax on your bill of 3%. The "manager" guy bribes people to put good reviews on google and yelp by offering free glasses if you post a 5-star review and he checks it. I have seen several occasions were customers have arguments with the wait staff and they were told they could leave if they don't like it. Three of us went for dinner tonight and it was ok. Service and food was ok. Two of us had the fish and chips, but substituted the chips with a Caesar salad and the other person had the steak and lobster dinner. The fish batter was very dark and over done. Seems link oil must have been old. Portion size was good. Steak was cook as requested, medium well, and was tasteless along with the lobster. Overall pricing was ok. Reason for Visit: Was craving some ultra good value bar food. Menu: I don't understand why people are expecting so much with these prices tbh. This is where you go for bar food with very good prices. You aren't going to get the best out of the world steaks and BBQ here, but for this price, you can't go wrong. I am definitely returning when lockdown ends for their $14 steak combo. This isn't a typo. It is actually $14 for a FULL combo. The food is average, but the super competitive prices make this a 5 star review in my books. Service: Had a good time when I went for take out. The cashier was very informative and friendly. Overall: I personally think this place is wrongly reviewed by people expecting this to be a high end pub/bar. My son and I went the Chucks to watch the Argos game., and found that the waitresses all walked around like they were in a prison camp. Service without a smile. The service was terrible and the food we order was cold. Both orders. I also noticed that there wasn't any diversity amongst the staff or waitresses. Odd since Vaughan is so multicultural. read more

I used to be a huge fan of Chuck's and order frequently but this has now changed. I'm a disabled single Mother with 2 small kids. I don't have a car so I use Uber eats to order Chuck's. I just received an email saying that Chuck's responded to my review (it was a good review) on Uber eats so I checked it out. It said that Uber eats charges them a 30% commission and to go and pick up the food instead. I can't drive because I am disabled. The experience wasn't that great, but i'm keeping in mind that this was for delivery, and it was my decision to be the first and last time I order a steak for delivery! So it is not fair to say that this place is bad, the plates are tasty so I would imagine that it would be a great experience in a normal dine-in situation. I have to admit, I wanted to go to another wings place however, it was still closed for the holidays. I was on my way to my brother's in Oak Ridges and stumbled across this place's big bright lit sign. I saw "Bar and Grill" and immediately knew I could likely satisfy my wings cravings. Going in, the place was packed but I was able to get a seat for two immediately. I could not believe my eyes at the price. EVERYTHING (including surf & turf) was so CHEAP. I was really tempted for the surf and turf but this was probably not the place to get it.. I ended up getting wings and it did not disappoint! The only disappointment was the l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng wait for them. AND there is this WEIRD "tax" that is added to your bill! We are regulars who come at least once a week. We do have problems In this location based on correct orders and steaks not being cooked well but I've never in my life been told I was wrong by a server until today. First of all, I run a restaurant and how this was handled was so disrespectful. She told us we were "wrong, and that our steak was juicy.." and kept arguing with us. We didn't even want to say anything she obviously quality checked our table and we let her know the truth. When I come back I will make sure she doesn't serve us ever again. read more

By far the worst dining experience i've ever had In SOOOO many ways. Please AVOID this place at all cost. Please take the time to read all instances of awful service. This was our first family experience since COVID and are devastated to how terribly everything went. To begin with we had to wait 15 minutes when it wasn't busy just to be acknowledged, the servers came out multiple times and never looked our way at the entrance. The only reason we were waited on was because another customer realized how long we had been there and that we haven't been attended to yet. We had asked about the rooftop dining and was told to "go upstairs" wherever that may be. we couldn't find any stairs other than the bathroom so we just settled for the outside patio's.(lower level) When we sat down at the fully set up table it was filthy beyond belief. Never wiped it down for us. Another set of customers asked for theirs to be cleaned as well. We were given 1 menu for 3 people, had to ask for another one. Once ordering we had another horrible experience having to order 4 different times with 3 different people as they were changing servers on us and asking different people and forgetting about asking the other person what they wanted. All I asked differently was to use a different type of bread for the sandwich and nobody was sure or wanted to ask if it could be done and went between 3 waiters to figure it out and to ask the chef when we had to demand they ask. Then we have mix up orders having to redo it again finally. Once all that was settled and our food came, my mother's food was the calamari and they had given her mostly just fried batter. Most of the pieces were just hard friend batter with no fish on it so she didnt eat it and asked to send it back and wanted something else as the calamari was very low quality. The waiter told us we would have to pay for the calamari no matter what, and we had asked to speak to the manager. The "manager" who turns out wasent the manager (they lied to us) told us indeed we would have to pay for the calamari no matter what, even though it is mostly fried batter. At this point the other patrons have been watching what has been going on and spoke up and said that this is unacceptable and they shouldn't have to pay for the calamari. Once the other customer said that, he said fine you don't have to pay for it, (would you still like to order something else) At this point after all the arguing our whole experience was ruined and she didn't want to eat anymore as her appetite was ruined (as was all of ours) we just wanted our bill now and to leave. At this point, they said okay but still wanted to charge my mother for her drink as well. She had one sip from it and was to have it with her meal, which was no longer acceptable to eat. and was told numerous times she would have to pay for initially and had to argue with several people over, only to get appropriate customer service to not be charged for that when ANOTHER customer spoke out saying we SHOULD not have to pay.. That same customer again spoke out agreeing that should would expect not to have to pay for her drink if her food was no good and that was bs customer service. Again after that, they agreed to not charge my mother for her drink either with her no-good meal.. ONLY After other customers were calling them out on their unprofessionalism. This is by far the worst place ever, other chucks were good, everything about this maple location is so bad. PLEASE avoid having your nice time ruined. I can't believe this had happened to us, it was disgusting service all around from numerous people. None of us barely ate any of our food, more than half it left and was forced to pay the remaining balance of $40 that was absolute crap, didn't finish and couldn't enjoy because we had to argue for 30 minutes. Also when inside. after discussing the bill we found out that wasn't their manager we were speaking to and he avoided to talk to us. After waiting and not hearing anything we felt we shouldn't have to pay for our food that we didnt eat because we had to go through all that bs the whole time. We Paid them $40 cash out of the 38$ they charged us no matter what and threatened the cops if we didnt pay. I've been to numerous chucks in Bellville and Brockville and never had this issue. After reading many other reviews on Chuck's other locations, I noticed there seems to be a reoccurring theme and that would be HAVING TO WAIT....wait and wait and wait. For so long. We went for the first time on Sunday, after a movie. We were greeted and seated quickly but that's where all the good stuff ended. It was loud...very loud and everything echoed. Okay...I know...can't really fault them for THAT but it just bears mentioning that in order to carry on a conversation, you pretty much have to shout. The menu offers a good selection and we were of course blown away by the price of steaks so we both ordered one. Then....the wait. At one point, I think it was 30 BLOODY MINUTES AT THIS POINT, hubby had a word with our server, asking where was our MIA meal? We ended up waiting 40 MINUTES...yes that's correct. And once we started eating, we sadly realized that it was not worth the wait. How can you mess up a steak? Well, when you don't put any seasoning on it for starters. It was super bland - needed some salt maybe? Not as much as was on our order of mushrooms though!! Garlic was desperately needed as well. SOMETHING!!! And when the best part of your meal...is the BAKED POTATO then you know that you got a rather lackluster meal. A potato which by the way, we were charged extra, despite it saying right on the menu that with a steak, you get either fries or baked AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Unfortunately this wasn't noticed until we really looked at the bill, the next day...see below about THAT!! Now here's where it gets interesting: The next day, I looked at the bill and thought, "What the bloody hell is an "honest to goodness fee?!!" This is a 3% FEE that they just add on to your bill. Our order being as "basic" as it was...i.e. no booze, the fee was small BUT..imagine a big table of 20 people, all ordering lots of booze. Then the 3% FEE is suddenly not so small!!! What is it anyway? Well maybe CRA will know because I've NEVER seen this anywhere and I am not even certain that it's legal. It sure smacks of being a tad underhanded! That, coupled with the long wait, noise and middle-of-the-road food, we won't be returning. They also should be more forthcoming with their contact information. There was no email address on the bill or their website and if you phone head office to get one, you will get a nasty, very un-helpful and uncooperative receptionist so all in all, NOT a good experience. read more

Not sure why you would expect steakhouse flavor/quality from a place that serves $6 hamburgers. This place is exactly what it markets itself to be, pretty basic tasting food for a value. The atmosphere is a mix of sports bar and an applebees. They have big TV'S and cold beer. Come in and take advantage of their bar specials and get a few appetizers. The service can be slow, but if you sit at or in the bar area, you'll probably get noticed more. read more

I think this place deserves a better rating than the 1 and a half stars it currently has. The atmosphere is clean, with plenty of very nice massive TVs to watch the game on. The drink prices are great too and they make a good caesar. Service is friendly and competent. If you are just looking for a place to have some drinks with friends and watch a sports game, its a pretty decent place. It could be 4 stars + if the food was better. I think theres no denying that they need to improve their food. All of their items range from barely edible to mildly okay. Hopefully they can improve that aspect. I came to this restaurant and one of my friends is allergic to bacon, she specifically asked for no bacon after seeing that the sandwich she wanted came with bacon. The waiter repeated "no bacon" back. When we got the sandwich we noticed there was bacon so we spoke to the waiter who took our order and he told her "you didn't ask for no bacon, if you did i would have put it in the order" all of us said yes she did. He then went on to tell us he wasn't even a waiter, he is just a server and doesn't take orders. After this two different waiters came out to our table to address the situation, they were smirking saying she "must've forgot" at this point we asked for a manger because they were telling us to pay for the sandwich that was not touched and was not even the right order. The manger came to then tell us that we were wrong again and that the waiter/server definitely didn't hear her say no bacon. After us explaining to the manger how serious an allergy can be, he finally said we don't need to pay for it. Throughout this whole experience the waiters involved were speaking in their language right in front of us, which we couldn't understand. they would look over and talk into each other's ears, this includes the manager. The customer service was terrible, multiple mistakes and the staff were blaming us as customers when SHE KNOWS HER ALLERGY and has ordered at multiple restaurants so it's disrespectful to tell her that she forgot to ask for no bacon. On top of this eventful dinner, while trying to deal with this issue there were 4 waiters standing at the end of our table speaking to us, during a pandemic this was unacceptable since we were four at the table already and with the customer count allowed in the building being 10, 8 people at 1 table is not okay.
