Except for the soap not being refilled in the men's bathroom (so my husband had to do it for my son), this was a welcome stop for a late and relatively inexpensive dinner after our flight. We ordered Happy Hour nachos (beware the extra guacamole charge), a kids cheeseburger meal, Wednesday night ribs, and two lobster and steak meals. Everything hit the spot and loved the amount of melted butter provided so I could drown my food like I wanted to (seriously). No leftovers so portion sizes were appropriate. Good service, good food, good location, good ambiance. We went for dinner on a weekday night. Greeted with smile and seated at the table of our choice. Our server was nice and friendly. She checked frequently if we needed anything more. The menu has good selections and reasonably priced. We asked for Top Sirloin+Lobster Tail and NewYork cut+Lobster Tail. The Steaks were nicely marinated, tender, medium-dry. Tasted good, with only one drawback, I asked the NewYork cut steak medium-rare, but it came as medium. Second time at this location. Started off with flat bread overpriced at $13 and not very good tasting. Steak was poorly seasoned and improperly cooked lobster tail (from where??) overcooked and not fresh. Substitute mashed instead of fries ($2.99) and get powdered potatoes!!?? I was in the area on business and looking for a different restaurant when we spotted this place. Apparently, we wandered in on their first night open. Service was very attentive and the food was excellent. The negatives would be that the background music was too loud and they didn't have the handheld pay machines available. I had to go over to the bar to squeeze between bar patrons to use the one attached to that computer by a coil cord. I'm guessing that they were much busier than they expected on the first night so I'm not scoring lower than a 4. Likely going back tomorrow night to see if it's gotten better. read more

Went here with a work colleague as a last minute decision When everything else was closed. But as fate would have it, this place turned out to be awesome. Clean patios friendly staff and the food.... was awesome. The new york steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken parmesan looks great while the nachos made a delightful appetiser. I've been to a LOT of pubs and have mediocre expectations when it comes to food. (Calling this a steakhouse is laughable, it's a pub) The good: Lagunitas on tap. Nice. The bad: Food was crap. Really overlooked, dry and what's worse, the waitress literally walked away while I was telling her that the mozzarella sticks were half full of cheese. No need to call them mozzarella sticks, just call them fried breading. Much better description. Because seriously, they're cheese sticks and that should be what makes up the majority of their consistency. I can honestly say, the worse cheese sticks I have ever had. Better off in the frozen section of the grocery store. Could be the cook over cooked them, which drastically reduces the cheese. But either way, their restaurant wasn't educated on this because their waitress had a bad attitude when I attempted to communicate this to her. BF got the ribs. Some of the worst food I've ever had. Ordered the bbq chicken and it was so dry. Plus the fries that came with the dish were cold. I will say that the drinks were good (and reasonably priced) and the server was incredibly nice and attentive (main reason for 2 stars). Several people from my clients location this week told me of this new restaurant in town. They had all heard great things about it, but have never gone themselves. Being a curious epicurean at heart, I felt it my duty to give this place a try. I was very pleased with my meal, my service and the atmosphere. My steak was prepared wonderfully, cooked to the right temperature and tasted amazing. I also got a side of lobster tail and it was equally as good. My special bonus with the plate was that they include 1/2 ear of grilled corn. It was also amazing! Glad I came in and hopefully I'll be back in this area again soon and I can come back to Chuck's and enjoy another meal. read more

Absolutely vile the way I was treated. I ordered a porterhouse medium rare as well as calamari ((came in 8 pieces though I asked if they could slightly be more generous). Then I called once received my steak because it was raw!!!! I promise I am not one to complain but goodness I couldn't even cut through it. I called the restaurant for some help and the manager hung the phone up on me twice!! Not once but twice!!!!!! and I tried calling to fix matters mind you I was perfectly polite the entire time and I was just buffed. No call back no replies. I was excited to try Chucks when I heard it was replacing the old Crabby Joes. I have been there several times since it's grand opening and the food is always quite good. You get exactly what you pay for. Food is hot and fresh and the drinks nice and cold. I have no complaints about the food or the staff. Everyone is quite friendly but the reason I am only giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is because every time I am there, the music is way too loud. I have asked the server why they play the music so loud and they said this is how they do it at all the locations and is a head office decision. The music is so loud you can barely speak to the people you are sitting with. I understand that it's not fine dining but it's also not a bar/club. Live music is one thing but this is a lot. I even suggested they only turn the music up after a certain time and I know others have complained about the volume because I have been told this by the servers. One of them is actually a friend of mine and said they don't like it either. 6 pm is a little early to have to scream over music. Other than that, it's good food, fair priced and good portions. Been to Chucks twice in the past few weeks. First time was a Saturday and we were told some staff didn't show up so service may be a little slow. Food was great! Attended last Friday for lunch and the bartender did not submit our order to the kitchen. After an hour she noticed and apologized. We waited another half hour for lunch. During my wait I noticed only two servers working the entire restaurant and the bartender was also over worked. Staff were running around serving customers and kitchen staff were bringing out the orders. This restaurant has figured out how to prepare great food but have NOT realized the importance of good customer service! Hire more staff and invest in workers....customers will then give great recommendation. Until then Chucks falls short of being a great restaurant that I want to frequent with my family. Never had a bad experience until tonight. Food is alway great and fast. Service is good. But ordering tonight there was mistake in our order. So the waitress took the plate back. We never received a replacement and complained. The waitress serving our table and the waitress who brought the food came back to ask about the missing food. We were then acused of having the food and was told they were going to watch the cameras. We agreed to have them go look. Then was told that she (one who serviced our food) was the general manager. This woman in no way looked or acted as so. She was aggressive, hair down in a mess, wearing uggs (obviously not anti slip) and had a fresh new tattoo (considered an open wound) and never once looked in our eyes yet alone our direction. Once again.... Never had a bad experience. Until this general manager could not treat costumers respectfully. Im glad to have had a completely understanding waitress helping us. Def won't be returning to Chuck's Roadhouse in Bolton in the future! We had to wait 45min for our food. Ordered the calamari as an app and was cold and a tiny portion for $12! Food is bland and very tiny portions. I ordered the glazed salmon and salad (which was the size of a child's portion) for $15 and they charged me an extra $2 for the salad! How does that work? My husband was charged an extra $2 for mashed potatoes too. There were a ton of extras that the waitress never told us about! Also, they have their own "honest to goodness fee" 3% tax added to the bill. When I spoke to the supervisor prior to leaving about our bill, she simply told me she could give me a toonie (for the extra $2 add added to my bill by accident for my salad)! Ive been here twice now in the past week. I'm not normally a fan of hamburgers unless they're homemade but these burgers are delicious. Very lean and tasty. First time we went was last Friday night, The place was packed but the service was still very good. Today I went with a bunch of girlfriends for lunch and again very good service, excellent burgers, reasonable prices. They have daily drink specials and half price appetizers after 9 pm.
