The server was pleasant and attentive, even when it got very busy. My wife absolutely loved the chicken tacos. The nacho appetizer was good. I was not impressed with the ribs but to be fair, I am from Midwestern USA and we are known for our BBQ pork ribs. The dessert was delicious, Buckaroo. I have not had anything like it before and can't wait until I have it again. The place is very popular. We got there early with very few guest but by the time we left the place was packed with several couples waiting. If we are ever in this part of Canada again we will definitely be stopping in, my wife will kill me if we don't. read more

My wife and I stopped at Chuck's for dinner. The food was ok. The service left a lot to be desired. The bill had an additional charge the took 20 minutes to correct. They also had an offer for a reduced price in an 18 oz beer during Maple Leaf games. The game was on the TV 5 feet from us and the waitress argued that there was no discount even though the back of 1/2 the workers shirts had the advertising on the back. Chucks Roadhouse in Sudbury Ontario is a great place to go for lunch, dinner, a night out with your friends, or just an opp to get out, and have a good time! we hosted our Christmas party at Chuck's Roadhouse on November 30th, 2024, and everyone had an amazing experience. The staff at Chuck's Roadhouse were amazing, they had everything under control, they were very attentive to detail, and the service was top notch for being as busy as they were. We had a group of 40 people out that night, and despite how busy they were everything went off without a hitch. I would like to thank the hard working staff, and management for their hard work, and dedication to taking care of all their customers in the restaurant. Without their hardworking team, the place would be a zoo... we would strongly recommend this place to everyone from Sudbury, from locals, to those travelling through. you will not have any downtime if stoping for dinner while travelling as they are very quick on the turnover of tables even when they are packed, you can be I and out in 40 min even when they are packed! Don't let this gem go unnoticed! My wife and I went to Chuck's Roadhouse in Sudbury for my birthday on February 19 and loved how they renovated what used to be the old Swiss Chalet, nice looking place and the food we had was very good with good portions, our waitress was nice and friendly and love the prices on all their food and drinks, my wife and i were very satisfied with our meals and it won't be our last time there, the owner and his wife are nice friendly people. read more

This promotion is a scam!! I went into the restaurant to purchase an actual gift card and they said they were sold out of gift cards, but I could buy it online. I purchased a e-gift card and it only showed $50, I called the customer service phone number and was told the 25% is added to the balance within 24 hours, which was not the case. I called the customer service number again and was told that I needed to send an email, which I did, no one has ever gotten back to me. I have called to follow up two more times since then, was told someone would get back to me by end of day Friday, no one ever did. I called again today (my 5th time) and was told the receptionist is the only line of contact and she has no way of helping me, there is no one else I can speak with and their company policy is for her to send an email asking for someone to contact me. Clearly this promotion is fraudulent and Chuck's restaurant just wants to scam people out of their money!! read more

When I booked our reservation 7 days prior, the hostess mentioned that there might be an automatic 18% tip but that she wasn't sure if there would be. There were 26 coming, but this number was actually 21 that attended. Only one Server served 21 people. TWO of the orders were for medium-rare steaks but well-done was brought and had to be sent back and thrown out. Then the cook had to cook TWO steaks correctly. The ONLY side you are allowed with your Meal is French Fries. ALL other sides you have to pay a $2 surcharge. When everyone was finished eating, our Server brought everyone their bills. It was only then that we all noticed they charge an HONEST TO GOODNESS FEE of 3%. What is that we inquired? The manager said it was from Corporate to cover the cost on their pricing and it cannot be removed. There is no restaurant sign or no where on the menu does it state that the prices do NOT include the additional 3% FEE and we were never told upon booking or when we ordered food. The manager said that is how they keep their prices low; um so adding 3% on the bill justifies this? Why not just increase the menu prices by 3% and NOT put a surprise FEE on the bill. Then the server wrote on each bill with a pen, the amount of TIP that we should be giving. It was not 18% of the Sub-Total. No, it was 18% of the Sub-Total PLUS the 3% Corporate Fee PLUS the 13% Tax. We were charged the TIP percentage on their own Corporate Fee, PLUS on Provincial Tax. So all in all, the TIP works out to 21% of the Sub-Total. We know that each bill was around $5 more than we should have had to pay, but it is the principle of the thing. How can they boast by saying their menu prices are so low but then simply charge a surprise FEE on the bill? We all paid what was written in their pen as the Totals, but all 21 of us have decided to never to eat at any Chuck's Roadhouse location again. read more
