Came here for my bf's dad's bday. They were able to accommodate 12 of us 30mins before getting there which really sold us! Location: interesting location, near a mini mall and other restaurants. Off of a really busy Main Street but has plenty of parking. The inside was modern decor. Was surprised that they had a rooftop, no views but was def a vibe! Their basement has arcade games, bowling lanes, pool table, ax throwing and more! Very impressed 4/5 Food/drinks: Since we had such a big party, I was able to get a sense of their menu. Common bar food with some pleasant additions such as a Philly sandwich and pork chops. Taste was overall good, nothing spectacular. Drinks were a little watered down but nice presentation. I heard if you sit at the bar, the drinks come out better ‍3/5 Customer service: As mentioned we were able to be accommodated pretty fast for a big party so that's a plus. Wish I had a better report but unfortunately, our experience was lackluster .Deciding on a late lunch, we stopped in as our host said the drinks here were delicious. We originally were seated at a table but moved to the bar because the young man who was assigned our section actually kept writing the drink order wrong. In frustration, we just moved to the bar. Kudos to the bartender, who did indeed make a pretty good Cadillac margarita. We ordered the gyro, Rueben, and the backyard burger, Our friend with the gyro, hated it and wound up only eating his tater tots. My husband had the Rueben which he said was good and onion rings which he enjoyed how crispy they were. I had the backyard burger, which consists of a burger with shredded/pulled pork, cheese, pickles, lettuce and tomato. Oh yeah, and sauce. I ordered my sandwich with no lettuce & tomato and med. well. Wish I'd kept the salad on my sandwich which was overcooked and dry. Again, the tater tots were slammin'! I asked for a side of syrup, which is the way we ate them as children, on the side and was accommodated without hesitation, or a sideways look saying like, "Seriously?". First time here and I really enjoyed. The inside of the restaurant is definitely a sports bar vibe. A bar and lots of televisions. From the moment we walked in (sept 1st) at 1 pm until the time we left at around 3 pm, we had no complaints. I had the veggie pizza and salad. The other ladies had fried green tomatoes, lamb chops, cheese pizza, tater tots and the sampler platter. No complaints. The greeter and server were all very nice and attentive. So great service. I didn't play, but they have billiards, axe throwing and tiny bowling downstairs, so I guess this is probably a decent place to go on dates. Also, I hear they charge exorbitant amounts to reserve a rooftop table but anyone who is paying $100 to simply reserve a table in Glenwood, IL is a sucker. This isn't downtown Chicago. Today was my first ever time at this place, and until the last week I never even heard of this restaurant, I was here for a holiday party which they hold them downstairs, which they have stairs and an elevator. There is a bar, and there a couple pool tables, all with some arcade games along with Duck Pin Bowling, and Axe Throwing, which is only open Thursdays thru Sundays 3-9. They have a zero tolerance for smoking and vaping, which they will freeze your tab, and you will be asked to leave if they catch you smoking or vaping. During regular hours this place would be good for people of all ages. And from 8 pm to close is their cocktail hours, which you have to be 30 and older. read more

We had a new waitress so grace was given but after so many failed attempts with our order and the never rectified the problem but wanted to charge for rectifying the problem and the waitress never owned up to it. They then tacked on 18% gratuity even though the signage clearly said for parties over 6...we were a party of 3 and management was very unapologetic about it. There was a hostess, but no one to show us to a table. We were told to sit where we like, upstairs (karaoke), or downstairs (billiards). After we sat downstairs, we waited for wait staff that never did appear. When my sister finally went to the bar to request menus, she returned to the table with one menu for the three of us to share. The food is overpriced, and after such a horrible start, it was laughable that the menu states that an automatic 18% gratuity is added to every bill. Their rooftop provides an excellent backdrop in the Summer for hosting either small or large groups. Our high school reunion group hosted a large group of us for a meet and greet this month. They sectioned off a part of the rooftop for us, while other diners stilled enjoyed the rooftop as well. We had a variety of Hors d'oeuvres which were tasty. I visited this establishment this past weekend during the early evening to watch the Women's college tournament games. The ambiance gives a club setting at first (this place is huge), but after entering into the dining area you become more relaxed with the dining set up. The food was not bad but it was only a chicken sandwich on pita with tater tots and a Greek salad. The drinks were okay too, next time I'll be sure to try the very Bloody Mary ( I did white wine). The lower level reminds me of a very small arcade room with the set up for dining also. Although I didn't check it out in its entirety. I was able to see a peek of it from the second level, which is where I was sitting. The customer service was great, we were greeted with smiles and laughter and we left with those same smiles (Hi Heather). Recently my fiancé and I were in town visiting his family and we went to Chug a Lug for a night out and had a great time. We sat at the lower level bar and the service was amazing!! I was impressed by the liquor selection they had and we tried some of their signature cocktails created and named after their bartenders. The atmosphere was fun and the DJ was great. We split one of their steak dinners and they were super accommodating to our dietary needs and the meal was fantastic! We will be back next time we are in town! Just a fyi this is NOT a black own establishment. Like any other new place there will be hiccups. They have to work with employees that applied for jobs, so service will hopefully get better with time. And its summer a lot of people take off this can account for longer wait time. My best friend had a gathering there this past Saturday... I ordered a salad that was mediocre! The grilled chicken breast was bland and charred! I was highly disappointed with my southwest salad. We was under the impression that everything that Chug A Lug had to offer will be available to us but that wasn't the case.... Once everyone finished their food we wanted to go downstairs because we noticed a live DJ on the ones and twos doing his thing! But was turned around by security and I'm assuming the manager stating that it was private party downstairs and if we wanted to go down there we will have to buy a blue $20 wristband... we all thought that was ridiculous being that we already spent over $300 eating. It's unfortunate that the duckpin bowling, pool tables and axe throwing is all downstairs and we couldn't play anything and that really sucked ! I went here for a family dinner and everything was great. the food was delicious. i ordered the skirt steak sandwich and it was bon appeti. The prices were a reasonably priced. Was charged separately for the Tequilla ($18) and for the Grand Marnier ($6) that's supposed to be included in the Cadillac margarita and charged $12 for the margarita. Why? The buffet was terrible, avoid it. Can order from the menu after 1:00pm 6. My bill was still $70 excluding the $50 deposit I made. Total, $120 just for me. 7.
