Dang I'm not at all disappointed. The Sha Cha Chicken and Shrimp fried rice were both wonderful and the portions were huge. Everything taste very fresh and flavorful! The chicken pieces are very large and tender. Life is busy and I normally don't order delivery...I like eating in the restaurant but lately delivery is the best option and Chun Chinese Cafe will be on the regular rotation. To Chun's Café... Ignored by the hostess/waitress for a bit, then she finally approached and said you want to eat here or leave? Our response? Good afternoon mam' how are you? She understood, said hello and told her we could sit anywhere we choose to. Decided to get fried dumplings for appetizer and go for the lunch specials. The dumplings were frozen (as I'm sure most are), but they were just thrown in the fryer and came out stuck together. Gluey mess! The lunch? Horrible. Food was lukewarm a d tasteless. Well, that's not true. The orange chicken and Szechuan chicken were sweet. That was the flavor nothing else. Chicken was supposed to be spicy tho. Wanted to add sriracha to spice it up, but the crusted looking bottle scared me. Won't go back, sorry to see that that's the only Chinese food spot around. This is my second and last time to eat here. The food is average and the customer service is terrible... They act as if they are doing you a favor for waiting on you. I was the only customer when I walked in and they never checked on me, not even once. I asked the server if they had noddles to go with my wonton soup and she just glared at me and said "no" with a little attitude. I think Chun Chinese Cafe is an absolutely solid Americanized Chinese Restaurant. I haven't had any problems with the service. I was asked to wait before being seated while the waitress was running a credit card, but I don't think that's too much to ask. My co-workers have ordered the "hot pot" from the restaurant before, which is more akin to the Korean Stone Bowls than a Chinese Hot Pot. The bowls contain tons of veggies and meat slathered in a brown sauce. It's pretty tasty and will feed you for about two meals if you're not a blackhole eater. It's pretty pricy compared to the lunch menu, so you'll have to be in the mood to be a big spender. I've had two of their tofu dishes (Tofu & Broccoli and Sa Cha Tofu). Both times, the fried tofu was slightly crunchy and had a good texture when I bit in. I thought it was done pretty well even with the relatively generic "Asian" sauce on top of it. I added liberal amounts of chili oil (not found on the table, you'll have to ask for it) and I feel like that elevated both dishes. I sampled my co-worker's Pineapple Chicken and the flavor reminded me of traditional, HK style Sweet and Sour Pork. Although the crispy chicken was battered and fried as per American standards, the sauce was incredibly tasty and had tons of pineapples (probably from a can). The lunch specials come with the option of Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Drop Soup, or Wonton Soup. I've gotten the Wonton Soup before and the wonton are pretty sizable and made with your standard bland, pork filling. Nothing really of note. The broth reminds me of the chicken powder broth that I make with my vermicelli for a lazy night in. I really enjoyed their Hot & Sour soup. There were lots of mushrooms and tofu and bamboo shoots. Although these veggies didn't add a lot of flavor, they added some texture. I added some chili oil to my soup and it really made a difference. The lunch special also comes with the choice of an egg roll or crab rangoon. I can never resist a crab rangoon, so I got it. The cream cheese filling is slightly sweet and artificial tasting. It wasn't my favorite thing. I got the egg roll my next time and it's your standard cabbage packed egg roll. Neither one really wins in this situation and I gave mine away the last time I went (but I'm trying to keep my girlish figure). Overall, I appreciate the nice, quick lunch I had with my co-workers and would go back again. read more

Honestly this is one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been to. We have only ordered delivery and they are always quick and the order is always on point. Food is always fresh, we've tried several dishes and haven't had any complaints. Chun Chinese Cafe is medium at best. The food is generic for the genre and offers little in terms of exciting and unique tastes. The service is similar in that it is adequate, but never does anything special for me. It is also noteworthy that they seem to get every dish out VERY quickly... this is good for my time constraints at lunch (usually taking a break from the office), but also concerning in terms of freshness of the food. This is a Chinese restaurant. Ok, I guess I can't just leave it at that, but really, strip center Chinese joints all tend toward consistent mediocrity. This one was clean and contemporary, but slightly redolent of a bowling alley - the polished wood of the floors and tables that is, not antifungal shoe spray. The menu is pretty standard, just your average $6.50 lunch special offerings. I got the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice, hot and sour soup, and an eggroll. The soup, though chock full of tofu and the like, was rather bland, and the eggroll, though crispy, didn't have much in the way of content. The actual chicken, however, was really pretty good. The tender white meat chicken was coated in a bright, honey-colored glaze that was different from any General Tso's I've seen. It almost looked like a buffalo wing sauce, and there was a good corresponding kick of heat to it. The dish came out rather quickly, which led me to believe, as is probably common, that the chicken is cooked separately, then tossed in whatever sauce is chosen. One piece that didn't quite get covered confirmed this suspicion. Ultimately, Chun Cafe provided a good, if standard, lunch at a good price. Ok let me start with the good first. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken family dinner. The food looked good and was fresh. The restaurant was clean. The disappointing thing was that I ordered to go and they forgot to put the eggroll and crab puff in my bag. When I called to tell them, the cashier was like "oh well, I pushed the wrong button." I understand what another reviewer said about the unfriendly smirks, all I can say is that if your friendly with the cashier she is friendly with you, but there was something haughty about her, like she was doing you a favor. There dinner prices are steep and the most popular items on the menu General Tso's chicken and Orange Chicken do not come as a dinner but only as an entree, so if you are desiring an eggroll or small soup be prepared to pay $12 +. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT WHEN PANDA EXPRESS OPENS ACROSS THE WAY, THEY ARE GOING TO lose alot of business!
