Not sure why my review was removed ( unless someone paid to do so) but this place offers the same quality service as Western Dental just cost ALOTTT more. My braces were removed (even though addition plans were made because my bite was not even) and I instantly noticed after they pulled one of my front teeth down then shaved the other to make them "straight" that we had different ideas of STRAIGHT. Because this aint it. Mind you my bottom permanent retainer also had to be removed and reinstalled because it was put on slanted. I got braces during COVID so I had then in longer then Expected. Had gaps open up several times between my teeth, even have one starting between my front 2 which is wild. I wear my retainer all the time and nothing helps. After now having to pay more to go to fix these issues I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Yes they are nice and friendly but Im about my business. My money and time overrides anything. When I first posted my original review they contacted me to fix the permanent retainer and remake my removable retainer but because they couldn't get the impressions right ( and wanted me to be without one for weeks ) I never got a new one. read more

Unfortunately, i never met dr. Buchanan. Dr. Chun was great however. I have gone to many orthodontist, and I was always turned down because of my "short roots". Dr. Chun, on the other hand, found a way to straighten my teeth. I also loved April! She made me feel so comfortable. I did not give them a 4-5 star because of the attitudes of some ortho techs they had... Christine rolled her eyes at me and let out a big sigh when I wanted to track the progress of my roots. I was scared that my teeth would fall off, so I wanted Xrays to track the progress. I almost didn't come back to them after experiencing that. This lady made it seem like it was such a hassle to take my xray. I'm paying for this, so please, try to care a little bit about my concern. Having short roots meant i could lose all my teeth with braces.. who wouldn't want an xray? Overall, great ortho place.. but one bad experience can really take the good away. read more

I love dr. Chun and all of her staff. They are all so friendly and kind, I've never gone in and not had multiple people ask how me and my family are doing. They genuinely care. I've had my braces on for about 18 months now. They were a mess when I started and look great already but I still have a while left because she is making sure everything is perfect. You might be able to find someone cheaper, but remember you get what you pay for. You might be able to find someone who says they will get it don't faster but do you want it done fast or do you want it done right? I know no one wants to spend years going to the Ortho and paying big bucks but if you are going to do it you should do it right! Don't waste your time and money going to someone who will half ass it, go to dr. Chun, you will be happy with the results! read more

I looooove Dr. Chun and the entire staff!! So lovely and pleasant!! The office is clean and neat. There is always coffee/tea and water available. Front desk is always nice. I love how they have a TV monitor for every chair when you're under the scope! Also video games for the kids. The self-check computer is convenient when you walk in but if the staff at the front desk see you, they'll check you in quickly from their computer. The scheduling is always flexible and they'll work with you if you need to reschedule or cancel. I love the text, email or call for reminders!! All the Registered Dental Assistants are knowledgeable and they're quick! I love how they have 2 offices, one in Vallejo and the other in Benicia. But my favoooorite are the ORTHOBUCKS!!!! Customer service - excellent. Clinical care - hopefully will be good. The way finances were handled - we are extremely unhappy! The fact that our insurance does not cover the treatment was never discussed with us. The appointment that my son had was an early morning appointment, before the office staff who is handling the finances came in. My son was rushed for the treatment and after the braces were put in, we were told that the treatment will not be covered by the insurance. read more

My daughter and I came and experienced just an amazing experience yesterday with everyone! I pulled up to our scheduled appointment time and my daughter walked in to let the staff know she was here for her consultation. I was greeted by Tammy...an amazing amazing sweet woman who took my daughter back to do some xrays. When all was said and done we had a seat in a room where she should me her xrays...the possibilities of braces and the different options if needed. But more than anything Tammy spoke to my daughter and asked of her concerns, wants, and needs! My daughter is a very mature outspoken ten year old who is truly ready to start her braces journey when the time is right. After speaking with Tammy, she stayed with us as Dr. Chun came in to introduce herself. All the adults recalled lovely braces stories that made my daughter laugh and definitely made both of us feel even more at home. Dr. Chun did an exam on my daughter and after explained to BOTH of us the process of what my daughter will need and it made sense. Because we still have a few baby teeth left, instead of INSISTING starting the process Dr Chun thought it best that we wait six months...see if we've lost the last few and then come back! :) We ALL, my daughter, myself, Tammy, and Dr Chun were slightly disappointed we would not be seeing each other sooner rather than later but it is worth it! I have absolutely found the best Orthodontist around for my daughter. All the staff are welcoming, friendly, and amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming to all. Growing up I never really worried about my teeth, I always felt like I had an OK smile, my teeth were OK. I started going to dental school and became so critical about my teeth and smile. I wanted to have braces so bad! I wanted to have the best smile that I could have. I am frustrated with this office. Every time my granddaughter has an appointment something breaks or needs to be checked. This is very inconvenient and upsetting. I know they don't want us to return all time either but braces shouldn't break so frequently. This is very expensive for my daughter so our service expectations were high.
