What an amazing gem to to find a delicious authentic Korean cafe in Laplace. I mean for real!!?

She is amazing! The food is great and very pleasant and positive atmosphere. What a little gem. Wouldn't have expected to love this place as much as I did. She's a one woman show so be patient and your patience will be rewarded!

This is a must stop place to eat in Laplace. I always get the Apple + turkey sandwich on croissant, and it is so delicious. The flavors all compliment each other. The other one we got was the Mandarin Chicken sandwich. That one was also delicious. Mrs. Chung is also super helpful and nice. 100% recommend as a lunch stop.

Found this place on my way to meet a client in La Place,La on 8-1-11. I'm glad I did. I had the Green Apple Turkey Sandwich. I'm not big on shredded turkey , but I must admit I loved this sandwich. The turkey was tender and well seasoned. The atmosphere of this place was nice also. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The owner came out to greet me. Asked if I needed anything. I will definitely be back and recommend this place.

Korean salad plus Korean roll hell of a combo for my fellow big eaters And her friendly service with a smile . It was worth the 15 minute bike ride and dammit I'll do it again. Portion and price you can't beat that with 3 hands I just moved here and the fast food places rule here I hate it I just want some real food outside of my home . Nauseousness before my appetizer I'll pass

Had some time before our swamp tour, went on the trusty yelp app and the 1st food option to pop up was Chungs. A customer was coming out as we were going in, and she said "I love this place." =) 1st impression was that this place looks so cute. It is decorated like someone's home, with inspirational quotes everywhere. Had a map of where visitors were from. Ordered the sweet potato salad, Korean beef po-boy and ice coffee. Everything was delicious! Beef was seasoned well and juicy. Sweet potato salad was mashed and had eggs and cajun/chili pepper? seasoning. Coffee was strong. Mrs. Chung was very nice and welcoming! Will upload pics as soon as I get back home.

A lovely sweet "gingerbread house" and then some.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise to see this place that I thought was in the middle of nowhere. Such terrific sweets, and a great spot to stop for lunch. Run by a Korean Christian beautiful people.

Stopped in on my way to Houston on a rainy day. I grew up in La Place in the 80s, but my, how it has grown. I found this little gem of a cafe , which boasts a western menu, and the owner wait d on me and I asked what traditional Korean dishes she served and her face lit up! She had me at bipbimbap! Very tasty and topped with bulgogi. It's a charming little spot with desserts aplenty and Korean influenced lunch items. Stop by if you're tired of the same ole same ole.

    Bibimbap was amazing!!

Boutique kind of place. Sandwich was soggy and fell apart. Good tastes but couldn't get past the bread being soggy elements.

Wow. The pastry beignets are crazy good! Way much better than original beignets. King cakes were fluffy and warm. So good.

There are hundreds of UNBELIEVABLY GREAT RESTAURANTS in the New Orleans area - But this is the ONLY AYCE Korean Barbecue that we could find. So, if you need to take a break from Poboys, Cheeseburgers, Jambalaya, Creole and Italian - GO HERE - Betcha won't visit just once!

Immediately noticed the pretty chandeliers and cleanliness of the restaurant. While waiting the waiter was kind enough to answer a few questions for us of how the ordering process works. We were promptly seated as soon as they opened. They turned on the warmer at our table and we placed our beverage orders. They explained how we would order from the tablet which was very easy. You order and within a few short minutes it is delivered to your table. We tried a little bit of everything and left happy and stuffed! Please come hungry because you will want to try everything. It is great to have a new restaurant on the Westbank with fresh delicious food and the service is top notch! We will be back soon!!

Now Sun Chong (recommended by our valet park guy and also the rental car people) combines a Korean/Soul/Creole fusion vibe. Right by Bourbon St behind the Customs House, the location isn't far from the craziness of Bourbon St. Reservations recommended, my coworker and I sat at the bar which was perfect (a table would have been a 20 min wait). Thanks and props to our waitresses, Tishara (typo?), the other lady with her (who left for Baton Rouge and came back home to NOLA), and the other young lady who's half Vietnamese, those 3 ladies really made the vibe at Sun Chong perfect. Always attentive, danced to the R&B, and A+ service to this west coast guy. I loved their two dumplings, the Étouffée Dumplings and the Gumbo Soup Dumplings. Those were awesome, those were the fusion dishes I recommend! The spicy pork was okay, good, the bulgogi beef was decent too. NOLA - Korean/Soul vibes 100%! Check it out. Did I mentioned the service and playlist were awesome? They were able to split the check for the 2 of us at the bar.
