KPOT was a great experience. It was packed but we only had to wait about 5-10 min for a table. Our server explained the hot pot details to us since we had never been before. They had a great sauce bar and appetizers. The soups were very flavorful and we loved all the add ins. The gyoza and shumai were my favorites. Skip the meatballs, they are very tough and have an odd flavor. We appreciated being able to order more meat and dumplings on the iPad because our server didn't stop by much. It wasn't the easiest to get a drink refill, but everything else was fine. The dessert options were definitely lacking. BR has been waiting for a hotpot place for a while and it's finally here. We went for lunch on Saturday. Got there at opening and the place was packed by noon. It's still new so expect some growing pains but the overall service was great. Friendly and accommodating and as fast as could be. It has a trendy modern Asian feel. The food options are impressive. Wow, what an amazing place to get all you can eat Korean barbecue and hot pot! Their menu is expensive, even including their sauce, bar and appetizer bar. I definitely thought it was worth the price, great quality and variety! The only thing that I disliked was most of the meats were almost unable on the grill, the meat stuck to the grill and shoveled up quite fast, I really wish I knew which meets came out. I believe they got one of our broths, wrong and midway through eating. Overall, from what I said, I think the hot pot is much better, the short rib was quite good, but again wish the meat was more cookable on the grill. Not a huge fan of how to adjust the hot pot settings directly on the stove either. Also kind of cool that you can get drinks such as milk tea however, the tapioca balls were underwhelming. Love this place! First time going for my birthday, once I walked in there was a sign saying free birthday meal if you come with 4 or more people. Has to be close to your birthday though and gotta show id proof. We were 7 of us and ordered lots of food. Waiter is always super accommodating to everything. You do have a 2 hr limit to eat. The tables are nice and big. This last time we went we had a waiter by the name Andy, he created this special sauce for us and it was delicious! He recommended drinks as well. We are Hispanic so we do tend to use more seasoning but they have salt and pepper. Overall would definitely recommend. read more

The hubby and I have dined here twice so far had good experiences. The first time was on a weekday around 2pm. We were able to walk-in and get seated immediately. We opted for the kpot and bbq lunch combo. I got the miso for my soup base and my husband got the Szechuan Spicy. I loved the miso and the Szechuan was good but got old quick due to an overpowering flavor. I really enjoyed the option of ordering everything from an iPad so that we didn't have to wait on our waiter. Everything we ordered was delicious and very flavorful. The lamb was my favorite. The Buffett only had 2 food options: chicken wings and fries. My only complaints this visit were, the table was small and we felt overwhelmed eating around all the plates of raw meat, it got pretty hot in there with the boiling pots, and the fries at the buffet were cold. On our second visit, we arrived on a Sunday around 1pm and had an hour wait. We went with just the kpot dinner option this time, lunch wasn't offered. I ordered the miso soup base again and my husband chose Tom Yum. The buffet had an added option to choose from this go around: spring rolls. Everything from the buffet was hot and delicious. The table we were seated at was larger which gave us more room for all of our plates. Overall, we really enjoyed the food here and definitely plan on returning! We went as a small group and didn't really enjoy the food or the experience. It was overpriced and we were a little surprised at the final bill. We did the Korean bbq and the meat was chewy and not very flavorful. Maybe we should have poured more sauce. Our grill got all burnt up several times and had to get switched which affected the flavor of the food. The table was crowded. The plates too small. Server wasn't very attentive. We won't go back. I'm so glad we finally have a Korean BBQ place in the city!! I enjoyed eating here. While there, I learned that you have 1.5 hours to eat, so once you get seated that timer starts even if the entire party isn't there yet. Everyone has to get the same all you can eat package, so if all your friends want both hot pot and bbq then you have to pay for that package as well. I also learned that you can get a free birthday meal if you go within 3 days of your birthday. Service was good, the things we ordered from the iPad at our table came pretty quick. Saw this place on TikTok and had to check it out! It's been open for about 2 months. There was no wait on a Friday when we came. Our server was absolutely great at explaining the menu to us. Not gonna lie we were a little lost lol. The whole KPot vs BBQ meats threw us for a loop! It was such a fun experience. It did all happen so fast, you're ordering, cooking, and eating all very fast. A bit overstimulating but such a cool experience. I got the Thai TomYum base and it was pretty good but tasted sweet?? We arrived about 5:27pm on a Saturday night. We were quoted an 1hr and 30 minute wait time. Our table was ready at exactly 6:00. The give you 10 minutes from the time you receive the text. We were seated quickly. The area was cleaned really well. The service was great. There is a 2 hour max. You can order food on the tablet every 3 minutes. We tried both the hot pot and the Korean BBQ. There is also a bar where you can make your own sauces and a few appetizers, fruit, and desserts. Mid-way through we started to run out of hot pot sauce and it was quickly refilled. Finally tried this place out in BR, overall pretty satisfied with the food especially the kbbq part of it. The hotpot wasn't anything special, I probably will only do kbbq if I go back. Also the pricing is an additional $5 if you decide to do both hotpot and kbbq which I was not aware of till I got there. Service was also good and super fast. The food is good, the service was good, the thing that made this a slightly negative experience is that the booth seats are not bolted in place. They are quite far from the tables. Then some guy on the other side of my seat, moved the seat closer for him which made it harder for me to dine. He got angry when I spoke to him about it, getting all loud and stuff, so I pulled my seat closer which angered him more. But he didn't move the seat again. Owners, managers, please measure the proper dining distance and bolt the seats to the floor. I will continue to go to the other hot pot restaurant instead. They also offer sushi there. read more

I'm a pretty seasoned hot pot and kbbq person as I've had it around the US at various locations and franchises. I'm glad Baton Rouge was able to finally get a kbbq and hotpot place, my first experience was it felt nice and clean. A lot of the servers were still training when I went but they were fantastic. I got the hotpot the spicy broth to be specific and it was ok. I usually season my broth but I felt it lacked a lot of flavor compared to other places I've been. I also felt the meat no matter what cut I got specifically beef were on the more lean side. For myself , my favorite places have good ratio of fat to beef , but I felt mine were predominantly just purely lean. The lack of flavor from the broth along with beef that was very lean was just my personal preference of why I wasn't a huge fan but I would definitely come back to give it a shot again. Also portion was ok as you order on a tablet. It wasn't necessarily busy but it did take some time for me to receive my orders from the tablet. Although we explained we'd never been before our waiter gave little to no instruction on how to use the equipment to prep our food. We paid to up charge to have both the ramen and the BBQ option but it took them forever to bring out the veggies. By the time the veggies came all the meat was gone. Then it took forever to get more meat. So although it's an all you can eat style, it seems the kitchen slowed the pace while we got full primarily from the buffet. I desperately wanted to love this place, but the novelty is outweighed by the subpar food, shaky service, and questionable value. The food is without flavor without the sauces, which are hard to decipher and make it hard to put a cohesive meal together. It is easy to get refills on meats and sides, but this seems to consume the bandwidth of the staff, making getting drinks and drink refills very much a hit-or-miss proposition. Combine all that with ~$50 pp incl tax and tip makes this not the best deal. Any of the local hibachi places offer much better quality food + entertainment and professional cooking for the same money. read more

Was very happy to try this place after seeing that it closed at 10:30. Well upon entering a few waitresses/hostess were seated relaxing. Then we were approached by the manager saying that it was closed. My husband challenged his reasoning by explaining that seating stops at 9:30. We were present before 9:30. He then says 9:29 was the cut off time. I will never return. The thought of a worker turning away money that pays them, bothers me. My food was okay, but my friend's food was not. Her Miso soup base was too salty for her. She got sick in the restroom. When we saw the bill, we were very surprised. I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I knew that they would be bombarded when they first opened so I waited a few weeks(09.18) to try. We came in with a party of 6 at 5:00pm and did both hot pot and bbq. When we sat, the server got our broth selections and our drinks and then we were left on our own. Ordering on the ipad our selections came out pretty quick, but once it got busy it did take a bit longer for it to comeout. We ordered one or two of the items at first to see how it was served. Meat selections vary between 2-8 pieces depending on what you order and veggies, regardless of how many servings was ordered it seemed like the same amount was brought out. I was able to get my portion discounted since it was my birthday and overall it was an okay experience. I came back 2 weeks later (09.30) and did hot pot only. Again, ordered multiple servings of the veggies and only one portion was served each time. There were more selections of kimchi on the banchan bar this time but what really got to me is that if you pay with cash, they round down when giving back your change. Our total was $74.22 and our change was supposed to be $25.78. We only recieved $25. Here's the thing, I get some places do change back with only bills cause they don't carry coins but I was under the assumption if that was the case, it should be rounded up and not down. I called the restaurant when I got home and spoke with the manager to inquiry if that's how they handle their cash transactions by rounding down, and the manager, Luther, told me that's their "practice" of giving back change. He told me if I had asked about my change, it would have been brought to me. I didn't realize I had to request for my money back. (Which honestly would have been left for the tip, but the fact that it was taken without giving me the option to give to the server, irks me) I do enjoy it and was so excited that they are now open but last night experience left me with a feeling. This was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the host was unwelcoming,which set the tone for the whole meal. The quality of the food was very disappointing,every cut of meat we tried had no flavor(expect short ribs).To make matters worse, we didn't even receive everything we ordered!
