This is very close to our house and honestly the only reason we go. The service is awful. We had a manager come serve us because the server was so busy and then never saw her again. Our food came out about 3/4 the way through the movie and was cold. We sent it back and they told us they would bring new food out and take it off our bill but they never brought anything back out to us. The service has declined immensely since the open. It's almost like they just don't care if you're there. The Nashua location is way better. Take the drive to AMC or cinemagic honestly. read more

Do not go here. The theater is unclean the service is very bad. The manager here yelled and screamed at me and my girlfriend when we asked if there was handicap seating. He then asked her what her handicap was, and then waved his hand and said all the seats are handicap seats. There is no designated handicap seating or parking, manager is a hot head, food leaves much to be desired, and employees are not helpful read more

Not a good experience. The theaters always smell bad and when we went for a busy movie the tables were half filled but customers all spread out so our party of 2 couldn't find a place to sit together. No staff were squishing in the groups to make sure there was room for the sold out show they claimed they had and we arrived 15 minutes after doors opened, 45 minutes before the movie started, so there should have been able to accommodate us. Also told there is no designated handicapped seating, the theater is wheelchair accessible however does not have any seating designated for people with other handicaps. The manager we talked to was very quick to show his temper and was unhelpful probably due to how busy it was he had no time to accommodate people who may have had need for assistance. read more

Great concept, cheap movie ticket prices, actually decent food, TERRIBLE service. My girlfriend and I visited from Concord on one of our very rare date nights (13month old son) to watch Wonderwoman and get some food and drinks. Our server, who out of respect I won't name, came up to us in a short amount of time and took our drink and appetizer order. We ordered the Hollywood Squares and the Shaun of the Flatbread along with 2 Varsity Blue Margaritas. Everything came out very quickly, and everything was great so far. We call our server over for another round of drinks and to order our dinner. I ordered an Only Way IPA and a loaded Philly cheesesteak, while my girlfriend ordered a water and a burrito bowl. Our server came back to us 5 mins later and told us the burrito bowl was discontinued, so my girlfriend ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The salad came out 10 minutes later, yet no drinks not my food. We are in the industry, so we understood that salads can be much quicker and she might have put the tickets in separately, no problem. 10 more minutes pass...still no water or IPA nor my food. By now my girlfriend is ready to order her second adult beverage so she calls for our server. She comes by and takes my girlfriend's drink to which I ask if my IPA and her water are still coming. She tells me "yes" and then runs off. 2 minutes later my girlfriends second Varsity Blue drink comes out with a water, but still no IPA for me. It's now been over 30 minutes since I originally ordered my drink and my food. My drink finally comes out shortly after my girlfriends drink, who had just ordered hers. Food is nowhere to be seen. I give up on my food thinking she must not have put it in, or just didn't care. The movie is almost over and my sandwich is nowhere to be seen. It's been over an hour and a half now since I ordered. Another waitress comes by and drops off our check. I noticed my sandwich is still on the check. I stop her before she can leave our table and told her that I never received the sandwich I was being charged for and that my beer took 30 minutes to come out. She goes back to our server who was watching us talk the whole time and then different server comes back to us and tells us it was taken off our check. No apology, no reason as to why I didn't get my dinner, nothing. Our originally server comes by to collect our payment and I ask her what happened with my sandwich. She acts oblivious and says, "we took it off didn't we?" Um, that's not what I'm asking. I'm asking why I didn't get to enjoy my dinner. Did you forget to ring it in? Did the kitchen forget to make it? What happened?!?! Terrible service. Being a server and a manager, this was the first time I've left anything less than 20%. I enjoy my tip karma, but I had to leave $0. A rare date night was sabotaged by terrible service. read more

I have been to this Chunkys on numerous occasions and have always been happy, until tonight. We had the light on on our table (signaling that we were ready to order) from 6:35-7:30 before anybody even acknowledged us. We waited patiently as FIVE different members of the wait staff walked by us without even taking a damn drink order. I walked out of the theater at 7:20 to speak to someone at the front who assured me that somebody would be in to take our order. As I walked back to the theater, there were five servers standing in the hallway talking and laughing. Two had their phones out. By the time we got a drink and an appetizer we couldn't even order dinner because the movie was almost over. I was appalled by the poor service and I was livid. I was trying to take my little brother out for dinner and a movie at his favorite theater and we didn't even get to eat dinner. I called and spoke to the supervisor as soon as we got in the car because I was too angry to do it while we were still in the theater. He was extremely kind, attentive, and apologetic which made up for it in some small way, but that being said I am still very upset by the way we were treated. I will remain a patron of Chunky's but I am appalled by the way we were treated by the wait staff. read more

My wife, 3 year old son and 6 month old daughter went to see a movie have dinner at the Manchester NH Chunky's movie theater. They arrived 20 min before the show and sat at an empty table. They sat for over 15 min when a couple came in and said that they were sitting there and she needed to move to another table. My wife declined to move herself, the kids, the stroller and because of this was harassed by these animals. She then called a manager over who literally asked her if she could just move so these people could sit there with the mysterious " other people" that never showed up. My wife then waited from the beginning of the movie till the end and never got service even after asking 3 different people including the manager. Awesome job Chunky's!!! Horrendous theater, terrible business practices, ignorant and clearly bottom of the barrel management. If you want a nice family experience this is not the place. If you want to be harassed, embarrassed and leave angry and your children hungry then Chunky's in Manchester NH is the place to go. Just ask for the manager and you will see as I am sure this is not the time this has happened. FYI if I could have left a zero review I would have but it requires at least one star. read more

Worst chunkys location ever. When we last went they served ceaser dressing and parmesan cheese on my friends salad when she specifically stated to the server and the server showed us what she had written so she did her job perfectly. The kitchen staff and manager that night however worst ever. My friend had stopped eating her salad as she tasted ceaser on it when she had asked for ranch also tasted parmesan and the chicken was rubbery and hard to chew so we checked and it was still a little raw on the inside. She had it taken back and She ended up watching the rest of the movie with her head laying down and I checked on her and she started to have a fever most likely from what they put in the salad. After the movie she went to puke in the restrooms and still had a fever. When telling the manager she just so rudely yelled at us to get out and leave and that her staff didn't do nothing wrong. Ok so naturally I took my friend to the hospital as she ended up having a 102.7 degree fever and staying there for a few days. I did email chunkys from their website but they simply stated we were lying and that we ate all our food which we did not. The owner also stated that his manger wasn't rude and that we were being rude and inconsiderate. First off don't call us liars you refuse to see the medical bill that she has to pay for because your staff didn't do their job all your manager had to do was say sorry and talk to the kitchen staff but what does chunkys do. Calls their sick customers liars and saves their own asses I love going to chunkys but I'll go to the Pelham location instead since you don't want to admit your own faults and save your own behinds. Don't go here unless you want to get sick from them. read more

There were three of us that visited Chunkys on the afternoon of July 4th. We arrived an hour early so that we can relax and enjoy lunch/dinner prior to the beginning of the movie. We waited over a half hour for our drinks (pitcher of beer and a bottled water). The food arrived a half hour after that, just before the movie started. I ordered the flatbread pizza with tomatoes which was cold and soggy. My husband ordered the Infinity and Beyond burger which was barely edible and the french fries were cold. My brother in law ordered a regular burger which was cold and again with the cold fries. You could tell the food was sitting awhile prior to being delivered to our table. I could understand if it was busy that afternoon but there was only a dozen people in our theater and the parking lot was empty. I have been to the Nashua and Pelham Chunkys over the years and noticed that all locations seem to be going down hill, especially on the food end. The servers we have had at all locations were great. We tend to go to the Manchester location more because both Nashua and Pelham are in need of a renovation or a serious deep cleaning. read more
