Wife & I tried this place last night and were very impressed! Even our 5-year-old absolutely loved the popcorn chicken on the kid's menu! Wife enjoyed a crab cake BLT, and I had some of the best fish tacos I've experienced outside of north shore Boston. Ambiance is cozy & rustic. There's a nice bar in the restaurant, but also a separate tavern with a wider beer selection, if that's what you prefer. Staff was friendly & very helpful. Definitely recommend! read more

Went for dinner at Mollys restaurant but it wasnt open so we ended up in the Tavern. I was hoping for the private/rustic romantic upstairs experience i remember from years ago but unfortunately I didnt plan accordingly. The tavern vibe was more biker bar and we felt a little out of place. The only open bar seats were littered with biker helmets i had to navigate around while eating, socializing, and drinking. The employees were all extremely pleasant and helpful and took turns checking in on us. The apps were good, and we enjoyed both the wings and pickles. The buffalo wings were huge and the pickles had a flaccid feel but were actually pretty tasty. My gf enjoyed her cobb salad but it left her wanting to add tomatoes, onions, cukes, etc next time because it wasnt already topped with those. My a1 burger was good but id skip in a burger next visit. The pizza a nearby table got looked great. Next time maybe ill call to make sure the restaurant is open because that was the experience i was looking for. read more

Terrific find with a nice casual and relaxed atmosphere. Seated outside on the deck overlooking a green lawn and brook. Live acoustic music played under a pop up tent and the occasional breeze made it all worthwhile. The waitstaff was attentive, personable, and eager to help. They seemed a bit understaffed but did their best to check in often. The food was excellent but the kitchen was very slow. My only negative observation. We waited long periods for appetizers and food. Speaking of the food, the Buffalo Wing were excellent. Fresh, plump, and served just right. The entries were equally as good (when they finally arrived). Fresh salads, burgers, and wraps were all good. French fries were frozen reheats. Said it before, but I'll never understand why a chef puts so much effort in the meal and fumble at the goal line by going to the freezer for these overprocessed and bland french fries. There is no replacement for fresh cut fries. Well done overall, looking forward to visiting again. read more

Great place to enjoy their outdoor accommodations; picnic tables, horse shoe pit, etc. Wish they had better wine selection and the food takes a bit of time (don't order if you're in a hurry) but worth the wait. It's OK. I went in with really high expectation on how it presents from the outside. Tavern is somewhat warm and inviting...although could be easily improved a ton by having better tables and high tops. Service was a bit slow and inattentive for it not being very busy. Food took a long time. Waitress explained upon bringing it that kitchen got part of the order wrong. Food was OK but nothing spectacular. Overall, it was t the worst experience we have had. I just kept thinking, that with some easy tweaks to decor and service, this place could be really good. read more

After bragging about the gravity lounge, i finally brought a friend to the tavern last week. I told my friend the Cajun wings were stuff dreams were made of...little did I know they weren't open for lunch that day. :-( Not wanting to waste the trip out, I asked permission to walk over the grounds and show my friend the lounge; Dennis was kind enough to ensure we got our wings (and something to wash them down with). Our first time to Molly's. I was really looking forward to our Valentines dinner. The folks were really nice, albeit everything seemed a bit disheveled and the place looked dirty. The description on the menu's about the food sounded great, actually getting the food made me wonder who exactly wrote out the menu, because what should have been good was terrible. We decided to venture into the Tavern after the restaurant in hopes of some sort of redemption. Since there was live entertainment in both places we wanted to check out what the tavern music could offer us. The entertainer was lively and the people had more of a relaxed feel. Ironically though, looking around we found the place was also dirty. The bar stools are all ripped up, the door in the bar area was so dirty and faded I am surprised that no one has ever taken a can of paint and just cleaned it up. The potential this place has is amazing, it's to bad that who ever owns it seems to have given up. If I were to ever go again. I would only go in the tavern and I would only sit at the tables in the center. Turns out the food in the Tavern is ran over by a food runner. hmmmm read more

This place took a huge nosedive in recent months. The restaurant used to be a favorite of ours and we went for years. We felt we always had a good rapport with the staff. We will not be coming back. Summary: after 2 bad experiences of cold food, wrong orders, an hour wait to even get soup, and a rotten attitude of the manager, we are not going back. A few weeks ago we brought friends out to dinner at Molly's. The server made it clear over and over again that she had too many tables and it was too busy. Two of our 4 orders were wrong. We could not get refills for our drinks. We kept asking for sugar for the coffee. She finally brought us packets of sugar...and two had already been opened. She insisted that the sugars come off a high shelf in the kitchen so that this could not happen. I think they were cleared off of one table, put the empty packets back in the sugar bin, then redistributed. We gave them a second shot with our friends thinking that was just a bad night. I could not believe it was way way worse. We made reservations for 5:30. Because there was a party on the first floor, they had us sit in the loft. There were two others tables already seated in the loft leaving two tables for 3 (we were a party of 4. Our server moved a fourth chair to the table and Janine (the manager) yelled at her that it was in her way, so we had to rearrange the furniture to be seated. Remember we reserved a table for 4. It took ONE HOUR to get any food. We asked for rolls. They told us they did not have rolls. They later served rolls to another table. The soup before the meal showed up at 6:30. Remember we arrived at 5:30 so it took 1 hour to get soup. They kept telling us they were not supposed to take reservations (like this is my fault) when there is a party downstairs. Still unclear what the difference was between us with reservations and the others who showed up at the door without reservations and were also seated. Three of our four meals came out wrong (one came out cold). Janine "apologized", drive by style, where she is half way to a different table before she stops talking. We went back and forth and she said because we did not order appetizers or desserts she could not comp us for a bad experience. She then said she would give us 20% off not including drinks. when the bill came we reminded the staff we had asked for two separate checks. This is the punch line. Janine told us that since we were splitting the check WE WOULD NO LONGER GET THE 20% I'M SORRY DISCOUNT. WE WOULD EACH GET ONLY ... 10% OFF ... OUR SEPARATE BILLS. !??!? Unclear if that was the inability to understand math or if it was a swipe at us to punish us for separate bills. A server we were familiar with came by to say hi. We told her we were always so pleasant and kind as customers for the past years and could not understand why we would be treated so so so poorly now. I wish her the best as she has always been kind to us. The only good experience was the server-in-training. She should find a better place to work. She was professional, caring, and was doing her best to ask us to come back and see her again and to give Molly's another shot. I called on Saturday to make a reservation for my mother's 89th birthday on the following Sunday. I asked if they could accommodate 10 people for dinner at 2 pm. I was told that would be fine, they would put us in the tavern and have a table ready for us. I called on Sunday morning at 11 am to verify the reservation as my mother has mobility problems and family members were coming from MA and other parts of NH for the dinner. We arrived at 1:55 and the doors were locked. We stood outside and waited. The woman who had taken my reservation came out and said that she had no room for us and that she was too busy to seat us. I reminded her about our reservation. She started shouting at me: stating that it was busier in the restaurant than she expected and that I couldn't expect her to save tables for us. She told us to wait outside (in10 degree weather with 10 people, including my 89 year old mother and my 5 month old grandson) while she saw if she could get some tables for us. I told her that it was unreasonable to ask us to do this, especially when she had told me only a few hours ago we had reservations. She became agitated and stormed off, leaving us in the parking lot, unable to enter the locked restaurant. I was humiliated in front of my family as I had arranged this get together. We left and had to order pizza from my daughter's house. This was extremely bizarre, humiliating and really put a damper on the day. None of our family or friends will ever go to this restaurant. I will attempt to contact the owner and see if he cares about the outrageous treatment of his customers. read more

Our first visit here was okay, we had just moved into town and were excited there was a restaurant close by to order takeout from. I've ordered takeout from here about 7 or 8 times. (I give a lot of chances). Because of desperation and lack of places to order nearby. The pork chop dinner: meat was expired, I had to throw the entire meal out. I've ordered the bayou wings quite a few times and 4 of those times, they were extremely dry, like jerky. Not edible. The regular fries are soggy. The sweet potato fries are alway dry and overcooked. I ordered 2 chicken tender meals last night.. First bite was sour and bitter. Weird film coated the tongue and roof of my mouth. After a closer inspection, the chicken smelt rotten, expired, peeled apart all of tenders, you could see the slime. Threw both meals out. Pulled pork nachos: too many chips, not enough toppings, barely any protein. I'm not even going to continue. Just really disappointed that I wasted my time and money on expired food. read more

I love the tavern room, it's a really cozy place to eat. The food was really good, but we only shared a couple apps and a salad. They were kind enough to break up a large salad into 2 smalls for us, with different dressings. Don't let them fill you into thinking the Thai winds are spicy. They're yummy, but they are NOT spicy. The potato skins were really good also. We say at the bar, the service was good and the food came out quickly. Not too many people in there so it was great for chatting and catching up. Went with friends Friday night. Place was empty, we had not been in the restaurant for a few years. We were seated promptly and the. Waited 10 Mins for our server. This is a go-to for good food, cornhole and a chill river. Forgot my pictures before but order stuffed mushrooms (good) mussels (amazing. Generous portion with great garlic bread and tomatoes in broth was so good I ate the tomatoes). Drinks are great. They have a adequate selection of beers on tap. Seating can be by the river and a fair amount of outdoor games. Next time I'm bringing cards (we usually stay for a few hours). Waitstaff is amazing read more

Great setting for a fall road stop, but. Probably the sloooooowest service I've experienced in a long time. The food is run over from the building next door and sits out by the bathrooms until the server picks it up. Not the best choice and didn't notice it until I went to the bathroom as the same orders were still sitting there when I went in and went I came out of the men's room. As far as our orders went, it took forever. Cobb salad was OK, but the burger was sub par. Char burned on the outside and raw in the middle. Starving so ate it but wouldn't order it again. Molly's is local to us, so if we are feeling like a night out, we tend to gravitate here. That said, it's for very good reasons. First off, they are under new ownership as of about a year ago now. It was "The Molly Stark" for a while, then "Kiki's", and now it's "Molly's". The girlfriend and I visited right after they had changed hands and were slightly off put. I had ordered Mahi Mahi Tacos and she ordered the Sukiyaki Shrimp dish. My tacos were "eh" and her shrimp were slightly rubbery and overcooked. Granted, it was a new place, and I am pretty sure we were there on day 5 or 6. So we gave them a pass on that visit. And I am glad we did. We revisited back in November while my parents were in town. Didn't feel like cooking and figured that (worst case scenario) we could just get a little boozed up and eat appetizers. This time, the food did not disappoint. Drinks were made quick, service was prompt and friendly, and the food was great. No really, it was like an entirely different kitchen the second time around. The mussels app (and dinner) are both wonderful, and I tend to have a hard time not ordering them when I go, the great thing being they do them as an app AND a dinner (over pasta). Lobster Mac and Cheese is also a go to, with the sauce being flavorful and just the right amount of lobster meat in there (Note to the other reviewer, yea, it wasn't all lobster meat with a drab of pasta... but thats why its "Lobster Mac n Cheese" and not "Mac and Cheese Lobster".) Side Note: If you decide to order food for pick up, show up a few minutes early and have a beer in the bar upstairs. It's a cool spot with good folks. And the tavern next door has live music on weekends. So yea, this is our go to local spot. Definitely give this place a look if you are passing through. read more

Molly's was the venue for my wedding on October 16, 2016 and I could not have been happier! The owner Paul Botta was absolutely amazing from the very beginning! He worked with us on our budget and made the whole planning process so stress free! For the reception I wanted things not on their regular menu including Butternut squash ravioli and he not only made it happen but had them made from scratch! My guests raved about the food all night. During the planning process I stopped for dinner and drinks several times and not once did I have a bad experience so wether you are looking for dinner or to host a big event Molly's will not disappoint! read more

Absolutely Beautiful Grounds. Set in a gorgeously restored old barn, this restaurant has a wonderful rustic charm. Our waitress was spectacular. Very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and very accommodating with my pepper allergy. I got lucky and they were just making up the cheese mixture for their homemade mac and cheese and were kind enough to leave some without pepper so I could have it. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and it was delicious! Lots of cheese and flavor. And the lobster was cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the Haddock and said it was very good. For desert, we shared a Blueberry Velvet Cake (Made by a local baker) and it was heavenly! Surprisingly light for cake. Very blueberry tasting and a great butter-cream frosting. All in all a spectacular dinner experience. We will definitely go there again the next time we visit New Hampshire. They have a separate building that is their Tavern, but we didn't go into to it, so I can't review that portion of the place. They do have an outdoor area for the Tavern that is unbelievably picturesque. They have a beautifully landscaped outdoor area with a pond, gazebo, outdoor seating, a stage (I think they have bands play) and even cornhole set. This exceeded my expectations, especially considering my last venture here was when it was the Gravity Tavern. I met some friends at the Tavern on Thursday for the trivia night. With this being New Boston, our expectations were on the level of the bartender reading Trivial Pursuit cards for fun. Actually, they run a pretty decent trivia! The food was a lot better than what I remember from the Gravity Tavern, which had struck me as microwaved snacks from your grocer's freezer. While not perfect, we thought everything was pretty good. The wings were flavorful, but a little sparse on the meat. The nachos were good, but a little oily near the bottom. And the fried pickles were just outstanding. This seems like the kind of place that would feature a few local brews, but unfortunately not the case. Outside of a Henniker porter, just your standard chain selections. They really ought to work on that. read more
