Gorgeous interior design, very friendly staff (gave us crayons to color with even though we are full grown adults haha), and food was, for the most part, decent. Just the salmon I ordered came half raw, and this was definitely not sashimi grade salmon... They were able to take my dish and re-cook it and it was better. read more

Came here for Sunday brunch on a trip to visit family. This placed was jammed packed. People pouring out of the place waiting for their tables. Make sure you have a reservation, especially for brunch. The server was a bit slow to take our order, but once she did she was super friendly and attentive and checked on us regularly, even as busy as they were. Food was pretty good. I had the poke bowl and it was tasty and filling. Hubby had eggs Benedict and said it was tasty. We both agreed the breakfast potatoes were super tasty and had great seasoning. The corned beef hash was not great. Although it had tons of meat, the meat was super dried out and crusty, almost like jerky. Desserts, especially the ice cream sundae was bonkers good and huge! Overall the food was pretty good and it was a good place to meet with family. NOW huge warning - there is very limited parking in back and the parking lot is split by a church and an apartment building and although the are signs up in the lot in some areas, if you don't pay attention and park in the wrong spot you absolutely will get towed. A family member got towed (we were in the right spot so ok), which left a bad aftertaste in our mouth so to speak. It would be helpful and appreciated if the restaurant was proactive about warning guests to make sure they are parked in the right spots. Put a sign out front of the door/patio area, anything so that you don't end up paying $250 cash only, to get your car back! Not cool! read more

Our family visited Firefly Bistro & Bar in Manchester, NH to celebrate my daughter's birthday and had a wonderful experience. We were seated right away in a booth, even though we arrived about 15 minutes early. The servers did change right after our drinks arrived, which was totally fine and clearly communicated to us. We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts app, which were delicious. I ordered the grilled salmon with butternut squash, my daughter had the alamo bowl and added grilled chicken, and my husband chose the hamburger with sweet potato fries. Everything tasted great and was well prepared. A nice surprise was the complimentary dessert for my daughter's birthday; she chose the pear and apple crisp, which was warm and yummy. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun. It was a bit loud, but it was a Friday night after all. While the pop art in the dining room felt a bit out of place for a restaurant named Firefly, we really enjoyed admiring the exposed brick and the industrial rustic feel of the bar area. That style fit the space beautifully. A small update to the dining room décor to match the rest of the space would really elevate the atmosphere. Parking was the only downside, but there's a nearby garage for $1 an hour. I'm already planning to return next month for my sister's birthday! read more

I was really hoping this place would be amazing because with all their options there's so much potential. To start, the service was amazing, super friendly, talkative, no complaints at all. The inside was cute too, different set up but good amount of seating. The drinks were firee. Super good, like, I need to learn how to make that drink good. So many great options too. Prices were decent too overall, Now the menu, sounded amazing, didn't really taste like it. To make it clear, not everything was mid. The steak tips were cooked great, just flavorless, calamari was probably the best and the bisque tasted as it should. Plus the grits with the pork. But the pork? And everything else? Let's just say thank god there was salt and pepper. The Brussel sprouts weren't crunchy..rather mushy, the mac and cheese was watery and had 0 flavor, the frites were just eh & the pork wasn't good either. Finallyy the desserts. Crème brûlée was great, the strawberry tiramisu was simply strawberry shortcake, great too, and the pb pie just tasted like a frozen pie, but it was good. read more

We went, food was amazing, served hot, staff was friendly and courteous, waitress tended to our needs which we had few. Dropped by to see if we wanted more drinks. Absolutely PERFECT. Oh and to the person who said their steak was bland, well steak alone is bland! If you wanted it marinated, then state that you want a sauce on it. So we came here for brunch on Sunday, the restaurant itself is uniquely shaped. It sort of shaped like a T. The booths we're already reserved, so we have to sit at a table. The two tables were limited in the moment we wanted were in the was in the corner next to a large and loud party. The menu looks great, but the actual food execution was just okay. I was craving eggs benedict, and I got the Irish variant. Surprised at how little there was with the bearnaise sauce. I asked for more sauce and got something that looked like mayonnaise. It wasn't great. It definitely isn't traditional bearnaise sauce. Then the kicker was there was a $2 charge for it which I was not informed of. Also, the heat temperature of the food was not as hot as desired. Potatoes were actually pretty weak to be frank. Our waitress was quite friendly, but not informing me of the app charge for that nasty bearnaise sauce left a nasty taste. If we return, we may give him another try... But we hope for better based off of the word of mouth for the restaurant. read more

If you like your Filet Mingon cooked Medium-Well when you ordered it Medium-Rare and enjoy waiting 30 minutes for your entree to be served, then this place is for you. The Tuna was cooked perfectly but it came with one piece of baby Bok Choy cut in half like it was the cat's meow. Not worth a mention as part of the dish, although they seem to think so. This was our second time eating at firefly. The service was fantastic, lovely and attentive. The dining room was nice and not too noisy considering how busy they were. The food was good, but great. The calamari were cooked perfectly , and the fried goat cheese salad was good. Nice that you can still get a side salad for $7! I got the lobster and gnocchi. The dish was overly salted and needs a sauce- the gnocchi just tasted like raw dough-y balls. The lobster on top was cooked right however had little flavor- again the dish needs a sauce. I've been here a couple of times and had some good food each time. It's a nice little place with comfortable seating and nice atmosphere. Service was fast and she let us know the specials and what beers were on tap. I had the burger of the day with a Founders Stout and they both were great. It is in the back of the building with the parking lot! I didn't think I needed a reservation but I am so glad I made one. Met an old work colleague and his wife from Boston here to catch up on life. Firefly is about mid way for each of us but is the perfect spot due to the great chef and bartenders. Our waiter was wonderful and knew the brunch menu inside and out. My Bloody Mary was perfect as was my wife's specialty cocktail. My Greek omelette was excellent as well and melted in my mouth. Desserts were decadent and tasty. Overall, a wonderful dining experience in an upscale casual setting with nice service. Worse experience here ever!. I recommended this restaurant because of past experience at this restaurant but they really disappointed us this time. Food was terrible. The flank steak was so tough the other party fought to cut it with a steak knife so needless to say, they coudn't eat it and left it and my Gnocchi with lobster and kale had no taste, the gnocchi was over cooked like mush. The Caprese appetizer was fine and the desserts were good but, the main meals were terrible. Service showed up only when had to (i.e. to take our order &give us the bill) No effort was put in to see if we needed anything else or how was our food. Ambiance was very pleasant but all in all we were very disappointed, wouldn't recommend this restaurant again read more

First time here. I love the decor. Very large space. Has outdoor seating. Parking on street and there is a parking lot. Must pay for parking but super cheap .75 cents an hour. You can make online reservations. Our server, Cassie, was exceptional. She picked a nice Chardonnay for me. We had a coconut mule that was delicious. I had the salmon special w asparagus and Caribbean flavors. My husband had Tomatoe soup that was out of this world and the chicken sandwich. Crème brûlée so yummy. Amazing food. Amazing service. The lot is smallish so if you're going before or after the rush you should get a spot. The entrance is through the parking lot, so don't get lost looking for the doors like we did.
