They used to be good then something happened, not sure what but they have just been awful the last several months. They longer respond to my calls or text messages when I try to talk with them about my concerns. When they are on my property they are not careful and I regularly find broken sprinklers after they leave, and beat up my solar lights with their string trimmer (I have asked that they not use it near them several times), and they do not latch my gate when they leave. The crew that shows up is rude when you try to talk with them. I am going with a new gardener. These guys have become awful. read more

I had Churape Landscaping redo the complete backyard and the perimeter of the house and he did a wonderful job. We had him install artificial turf and add cement in front and back of the house. He also installed the new storage shed in back of the house. On the side of the house, he added drainage and cemented portion of the walkway and added a new side gate. We hired Churape to do an update of our backyard. This included tree trimming, weed management, hill cultivation and leveling, and vine removal from our back wall. Upon the high quality of work he provided on our initial endeavor, I decided to look for additional projects that he could assist with. He was then able to provide a masonry job that I was unsure was in his scope of work and build a wall to create a layered feeling on a difficult venue in my backyard (back hill slope). After building the wall, I was impressed with the quality of his work, we again decided to add to the scope by having him add stack stone to the wall. His attention to detail, ability to adapt to the everchanging direction and ideas my wife and I had for the design, and his overall workmanship is unmatched. Our backyard was in desperate need of a makeover. I interviewed several people but ultimately decided to go with Churape. He seemed the most interested in our backyard renovation project and his prices were the most reasonable to us. Churape is very creative and contributed many landscaping ideas which were great and told me he has a great design aesthetic. However my vision was very plain and simple. In the end he happily stuck to my vision without making me feel uncomfortable about not going with his ideas. Churape and his crew showed up early every day that they worked. They all did a beautiful job fixing the horrible uneven grade in our yard. They replaced our horrible and mostly broken sprinklers and fixed our sprinkler grid so each area of our lawn got optimal coverage being watered. Part of the design in mine and my husband's vision was to have a garden box along the long side of our fence. My husband built and stained the pieces for it previously. Churape and his crew helped assemble it so they could lay out new sod around it. In addition, I really wanted to plant 4 Queen palm trees that I saw and liked at Lowe's, but I had no way of transporting them to my house. Churape was so gracious in picking them up for me after I purchased them. He then had two of his guys come over the next week to help plant them. Feliciano Churape Landscape will be my "go-to" landscaper from now on!! He and his crew are excellent workers. They put in artificial turf in my backyard, along with pressure washing the pavers. I haven't washed the pavers in 20 years and it came out looking like new!! As far as the new turf is concerned, my dogs totally destroyed the old lawn. So, to save on water we decided to install the artificial turf. It was a good decision and now the backyard looks great! Churape also suggested doing a little re-shaping of my vegetable garden. I called these to come and fix some Broken sprinklers in my house. When they got here they were friendly, on time, very professional and feliciano suggested to illuminate my house since very dark and a poor illumiNated street. He suggested where he would put lights. So I hired him for that as well. I was Impressed how illuminated my house and it illuminates the street as well. It way better than I expected. Mr Churape and his crew came by my house at exact time they promised to come. Two of my sprinklers were broken so he replaced it with new ones and reprogrammed the timer so it doesn't water too much, thus saving me some money on my water bill. I had a guy I knew forever do part of my job, ask for an advance and never come back. So, the search began for a sod, sprinkler and hard scape professional to step in. I interviewed several landscapers. Some complained my job was too far, some showed but never gave a bid, some gave a bid but didn't answer follow up questions. Churape met all my requests. Feliciano answered the phone when I called. The bid was fair and complete. When I asked for a reference he brought me to a home to meet other clients and see his work there. He didn't ask for any money up front. In fact, after a week I had to offer him money, twice, before he would take it. The workers are always courteous. Every worker on my job wears a shirt with the company name identifying them. They have worked hard, I'm in my home office so I get to see. The prep work is substantial. Feliciano has not hesitate to ask questions and make the right choices for my job, without asking for additional compensation, no nickel and diming me. He is a good and regular communicator. Texts when he got to my home every time he arrived. And he arrived when he says he will be there. His crew installed a planter border, finished hard scape stones, installed a 6 valve sprinkler system/ including drip irrigation, rototilled, is adding amendments to the soil, and is laying new sod. I am a happy homeowner. And as a realtor I received many recommendations for vendors, this one I found off his brightly colored truck. I'm lucky! The job is looking good. read more

His estimate was a bit cheaper and much quicker (3 days total vs 7-10 days of 3 other estimates) and he finished in the exact amount of days quoted! had them out a couple of weeks ago. my back yard was really overgrown and needed it cut down. I had a bid that was lower but he convinced me that they do a better job. he said my back yard would look great when they were done. well, when they were done, it looked a lot better for sure but was far from great. He also said they would spray the yard so nothing would grow back. I read all these outstanding reviews on Yelp and decided to hire Churape. He charged me to replace a drain pipe in my rear yard, to fix my drip system in the front yard, put a regulator and dirt catcher on my sprinkler valves. Before he left I asked him if he put a regulator on the Valve, because I didn't see one and he stated it was inside the valve. He also cut a one foot section out of the drainpipe and glued a piece one instead of replacing the whole drain. Today the day after he supposedly did the work, when the sprinklers went on I had a major water fall leak in the area of the back yard where he worked. I called another company to fix the leak and was told there was no regulator added to the valve. I contacted Churape who admitted he didn't add the regulator he charged me for and lied. He is a liar, unethical and he also took all my original drip system material which is worth a lot of money. I intend to call the labor board and who ever else there is to turn this unethical person into. I paid him an outstanding amount of money for this work, which I intend to be reimbursed. read more

My house was one of the ones that Feliciano (better known as Churape) showed to Bonnie. This is the kind of company I've been looking for since I moved to Simi Valley. Everything Bonnie says I can agree with in spades. Feliciano has not only become my landscaper, gardener, sprinkler expert, but also my friend. I have met his family which who are all wonderful and generous just like Feliciano. I'd seen his "Green" truck around the neighborhood for years, and after being fed up with the blow and go guys, I decided to give Churape a try. He was putting some sod in a couple of houses away, so I trapped him. He came over that day, and looked around and said "you need me" and I knew that I did. The rest is history. He is now a part of my family. He is so easy to communicate with, and I can trust him and his guys with anything and everything. His prices are more than reasonable, and he never does anything without getting my ok, although I trust his opinion so much that I've told him to just do whatever he thinks should be done. Like Bonnie says, he won't ask for payment for anything that's not done. My water bill has gone down! I've never met anyone who wants to please more than Feliciano. We tried Churape Landscape out for some weed clearance first. Churape, the owner, did the work. He came on time, cleared the weeds, sprayed as agreed upon, and overall did a very good job at a fair price. Now that we had experience with him and witnessed his work ethic, we recently hired him to take out the lawn, lay down gopher wire and weed cloth, plant the cacti we provided, and put black lava rock where the lawn was. He also added a concrete extension to the driveway and took out some trees and bushes from the yard. The entire job was completed today and start to finish took less than 10 days. We are very happy with the quality of the work done and the professionalism of Churape and his crew. They came on time, cleaned up after themselves, and took pride in their work. They were also easy to work with and took suggestions without any push back. The price was fair and for the quality of the work done it was definitely worth it. We will rehire Churape for our next landscaping project without hesitation and have no problems in recommending him. read more

Churape Lansdcaping has fair prices at first, then once they start working they will charge very high for anything else you decide you want them to do. They are not licensed, not insured. They did not dispose of waste material properly. The cleaned off their concrete tools in my front lawn and dumped concrete sand on the lawn. A few days later I had to clean it myself and discovered the cement had hardened and required a lot of shoveling on my part. They installed new sod according to Feliciano, it's the same sod they always use but when I asked him for the name of it and where he bought it, he couldn't remember. A few days later he finally told me the name and where he bought it but when I called the sod company, they told me they never heard of that type of sod. They took short cuts on materials also. When the job was finished I did not pay the total of what he charged. My time is expensive too so I applied a discount due to the clean up I had to do for them. Also, the soil he brought for my flower beds was supposed to have been good soil for my plants but when I watered my 30 new plants, the water did not drain into the soil because he used clay soil which does not drain. I have to pay to have the plants removed and excavate the clay soil. The new sprinkler valves started leaking the day after they were installed but Feliciano told me it is normal for a little water to leak when the system is on. Now 2 months later, the valves leak even when the system is off and the ground is completely wet around the valves. I can actually see the water dripping with the system off. I sent him a text today 8/26/16 and will update this post if he comes to repair or replace the valves. read more
