I reached out to Gomez during the week of the horrible wild-fires here in LA. The winds split a giant pine tree split in half and it landed on our house with minimal damage (luckily). Gomez came out SAME DAY to give a quote to remove the giant tree. It was a chaotic week for everyone during these fires and yet Gomez went above and beyond to show up, deeply evaluate, give multiple quote options, and more. I couldn't have been more impressed. I reached out to Gomez because my primary landscaping company wasn't available for 3-4 days. I was about to pull the trigger with Gomez but my main company was able to pull through in a last-minute scheduling change. I went with my main company only because I already have a contract with them which includes discounted tree removal rates. But Gomez's rates were 100% competitive. Even though I never hired Gomez to do the work, I could tell that they do amazing work based on their response, communication, and work ethic. I've already recommended them to my neighbors. Excellent!!! Called 3 different tree services, the only one that returned my call were the people from Gomez. Gilbert showed up and gave me a fair estimate to take down 3 very large pine trees and to clean up 3 other trees. They showed up completed the work, without ever touching my very expensive roof, which was one of my must have requests, as it is clay and could crack and break very easily. They were friendly, efficient, skilled men (4), who worked hard during the day and left my property clean and undamaged, they even cleaned my pool! Gilbert Gomez came out to my house (on time) and gave me a quote. Sometimes I get a second or even third quote to compare prices but this one seemed fair so I booked the job. Two or three weeks later his guys came out to the house. Super nice, super on time (early) and did a great job. At one point the lead guy asked if I liked what they were doing and did I want them to trim a little more (we were trying to open up the view from the house a little). The worst landscapers ever. They are responsible for my HOA in Agoura where they do the least amount of work they possibly can. They have killed an entire street strip, a block long, by negligence. They can't be bothered to pick up trash or keep the sidewalks clean of debris. They spend most of their time with leaf blowers in an attempt to not do real work. Why they have gotten any good reviews is beyond me. read more

Our condo complex hired Gomez to trim and shape our 22 trees around the property. Jose came out to do a complete walk through to discuss our needs. Others in the past had hacked our trees pretty badly. They arrived for the appointment with a large crew all wearing orange vests and masks. Jose introduced me to the job foreman for the day and they got started. I was completely impressed by their professionalism, talent and equipment. These guys are not messing around! Our trees look great and they took so much care to protect our flower beds and clean up everything. We will definitely use them again next year. read more

They were respectful to make sure that everything was protected from being harmed. They were the best tree company I have even used. We had 43 olive, oak and cypress trees that hadn't been pruned in 14 years. Jose and his AMAZING 10+ person crew showed up at 6:45 this morning and started working silently. They didn't start making a sound until after 8 and then the only thing you heard was the tree shredder. The team was professional, efficient, clean, kind and extremely talented. We haven't had the trees trimmed because I am so picky I was afraid to let anyone touch them. They did an absolutely incredible job. I would not hesitate one second to refer them to anyone. In fact, I'm going to get in touch with their arborist so he can fertilize and nurture all the trees going forward. They just finished at 3:00 and they worked their tails off all day. They cleaned every speck of dirt off the driveway and there was not a branch or twig left behind. I'm sorry Jeffrey W. had such a bad experience. I could not possibly have asked for more. We're new to having a lawn to take care of and noticed a problem with the type of tree planted by the former homeowner. After doing a lot of reading about the tree type (Liquidamber/Sweetgum), I had a feeling that it would be best to have it removed. Gomez Landscape & Tree explained the pro/con of trimming vs. removing and gave me fair estimates for both. We ultimately decided to have it removed. They were able to schedule it quickly and were extremely efficient. This tree was located on the back of our small mobile home lot. The access to the street and their trucks is very tight and has obstacles. They managed to deal with this and left everything clean. We feel like we have a whole new yard and no longer have to worry about the roots damaging the foundation. Also, I contacted 5 local tree experts but only heard back from Gomez Landscape & Tree Care. As of writing this review, I still have not been contacted by the other 4. I appreciate the response time and we were very pleased with every aspect of the job. Gilbert and his team removed two large oak trees that fell on my house during this windy season. I was impressed by their professionalism and how coordinated everything was on their end. When they got to my home, the first thing they did was put caution tape on all dangerous areas to prevent anyone from getting harmed. Then, they got straight to work with a huge crane. They swiftly removed the large limbs that protrude into my kitchen through the roof. Once both trees were entirely removed, they made sure to clean up and haul away everything. I recently purchased a fixer upper in the South Bay Area of Los Angeles. The house had 3 sides of a tremendous amount of ivy that was dried up and looked like it had been around for years. After close to 40 years in my house in the Lynn Ranch area of Thousand Oaks I have never received such a high level of service . Expert tree trimmers , nice and polite . In March, I called Gomez Tree Care to do some pruning around my house, and Jose came by to take a look. I've used Gomez Tree Care in the past, but this was the first time I had dealt with Jose. Jose's knowledge of the tree species all around my house was absolute. I later found out that he's a Certified Arborist which makes sense now. After reviewing my property, he sent me a quote for the work the next day, and I agreed to do the work at the reasonable price. We recently moved into a new home which has several large overgrown trees that have not been trimmed for years.  I contacted Gomez Landscape & Tree Care because of the many positive Yelp reviews.  From the start, I was very impressed with Greg, who is a certified Arborist and my estimator.  Greg was very knowledgeable and professional. Their price was reasonable and competitive.  When I emailed the company for additional information such as license and workers comp insurance paperwork, Gilbert immediately responded to my request.  On the day of service, a crew of four and Greg showed up on-time. I was lucky to have the A Team working on my trees. Miguel and Cottom are very experienced trimmers.  Jose was such a good helper with cleaning and putting things back to its original places.  The Foreman, Wilmer was so kind and eager to do a good job.  Everyone was friendly, easy to talk to, and worked very hard all day.  They hauled away the debris and our yard now looks fantastic.  We even got compliments from our new neighbors.  Great experience!  I would use this company again and definitely recommend anyone who needs tree trimming service. read more

They charged the exact amount they originally quoted and were reasonably priced and delightful to deal with. I called several companies to get a quote to remove a huge pine tree in my front yard. I was concerned about its health and the possibility of a massive branch breaking and destroying our home. Of the three companies I called, Gomez was in the middle. When I spoke to Polo, he seemed very knowledgeable and professional, and the contents in his quote further demonstrated that. I ended up scheduling the work with him a week later. On the agreed date, Polo's crew arrived on time, and got straight to business. They used a series of ropes and different mechanisms to safely remove the branches that hung over my home. I was extremely impressed by that in particular. After removing the entire tree in a matter of hours, they cleaned my yard and were on their way.
