Submitted a request for an estimate online, received an email promptly to setup a time for them to check it out. Was able to have the estimate done the same day. I would give less than 1 star if I were able. Will not return calls. Paid 5k for sod 1 year ago. They have spent tha last year killing it. Cipriano and his team were fantastic removing several very large Queen Anne palms, plus grinding the stumps, from our yard. I contacted him on Friday to get an estimate, he provided the estimate on Sunday, and completed the work on Thursday. Trees are gone and my yard was immaculate upon completion. I gave these guys a 5 star review this first time I used them 3 years ago. This time, they cut my neighbor's tree down to fence height, even though we said to only trim our trees. They didn't just cut the tree at our property line, but 3 feet on their side of the line. This does not make us good neighbors. I am embarrassed and really angry. Trespassed on neighbor's property then accused them of "White Privilege" when they asked why they were dragging wood stumps through their yard. Vulgar crew that spit & pissed in the yard & bushes. Hired them to remove concrete, find & fix a broken drain pipe, cut tree roots, trim trees, replace concrete. They did a great job at a good price. The entire crew was friendly and worked quickly. I will use them again. My neighbors are having them do work too. I thought it was nice that the owners 15 year old son worked with him. BE WARNED. Guy came out and gave a very reasonable estimate. He was hired. Showed up on time to trim my tree, etc. Mind you, he showed up alone. It was a big job. That was a red flag. It was supposed to be an all-day job. Before noon, he said that he had to leave for another job. He left all the tree debris right where it landed. Even in my neighbors yard. He wanted me to pay him. I said he'd be paid when job was completed. Said he'd return tomorrow to finish. Said I'd pay him then. He never showed up nor dis he call with a reason. I called him, and he said he'd come and complete the job the following day. He never showed up or called again and again. We have a palm tree that's the bane of our existence. It's so healthy and fertile that it needs trimming twice a year, by a professional with a license and insurance, since it's so tall and a dangerous job. It was hard to get other tree services to come out, unless I needed the whole yard trimmed, and when they did come out, they charged me a fortune, twice a year, to barely keep it under control. I found Gonzales on the internet last year, and checked out their license and insurance online. They came out for just the crazy palm tree last time, and charged me way less than I thought the job was worth, a fraction of what I had been paying other services for the last 12 years. I just had them back to do the whole yard, and again, they're charging much less than what I've paid other services in the area. This company is a godsend. I ordered a deal thru Conejo Deals to get my trees serviced by Gonzales Landscaping. It took them a while to get back to me, (I guess they were pretty busy) but they did an excellent job! The deal covered one complete tree, and they did a second at a very reasonable price. The trees look great, the shape is better than after some other services I have used in the past. the guys were really nice, cleaned up ALL the leaves/branches/etc, and gave me some tree advice as well. We contracted with Gonzalez to remove some plants, bushes and a tree stump Then plant assorted plants and add soil amendments and adjust sprinklers accordingly. The plant, bush and stump removal went very well with the removal crew. The plants arrived later. The plants arrived without any prior info and were planted in the wrong places and several were root bound (discovered later). The shade plants were in sun and vice versa. We tried to get them to return and re-plant. After no response to three phone calls we gave up. Another person spent over 4 hours re-planting the plants and re-locating the sprinklers. In the beginning I was very pleased with Gonzalez. I had used him twice before. Never again. He is totally unreliable. In June, I left several voice mails requesting service - he never returned my calls. I finally reached him in July 2016 and we arranged an afternoon for him to trim my tree. I waited all afternoon - no show or call from him. I called him at nearly 5:00 p.m. and he said, "my guys ran out of time." Note that I had to call him... He promised to show up the following Monday by 7:30 a.m. At 7:35 a.m. - no show or call, again. I called and reached him. He promised his guys would be there within 20-30 minutes. 50 minutes passed - no show or call. I called and cancelled (as if he was planning to show up!) I gave him too many chances. He wasted too much of my time and money. I am self employed. It costs me money to return home and wait for no shows. read more

The tree they worked on spanned two yards. A wood fence was near the tree and branches hit the roofs of two houses. The tree was about 50 feet tall. As asked they removed the tree down to the stump. In the process they did such a good job that the fence. roofs, and anything else around them was not damaged. Their price was excellent and they worked very fast. I purchased the $99 three man tree trimming through Conejo deals. When the men arrived I explained that they would have to walk through my house to get to the backyard because I don't have a gate. They said no, that they were too dirty and that they would jump the fence instead. OK! When cutting the trees they were very careful that they fell in a certain way so nothing in the yard was damaged. They were very nice and very good at what they do. The best part was the clean up! My yard was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. The only bump in the whole deal was that Mr Gonzalez was slow to return my call to schedule the job. I scheduled them to trim some palm trees in our back yard. When I first talked to them they were going to come by the end of the week to do the tree trimming. They never showed up. I called again and they rescheduled for the following week on Wed. Wed comes and I double check with them, yes we will be there in the afternoon. Again they never show I. I call them back and they tell me they might be able to get to it on Sat. I just said to forget it. If they didn't want to do the job, just tell me, but now I have lost 2 weeks of time with the stuff falling from the tree waiting for them to show up and I have to start all over again finding someone else! He and his crew showed up on time and immediately went to work trimming and cleaning. Some treetrimers just try to get away doing the least amount of work so they can get to the next job and not have too much to haul away. Cipriano's guys are strong,young/mature and experienced. I wanted" a little more off the top"so bam he got right back up and trimmed it. I purchased a deal that this company ran through Conejodeals.com for three hours of tree trimming service for $99. I called to schedule my appointment on Feb. 20 and didn't receive a return call till the Feb. 22. Then I was told that they didn't know when they would be able to schedule service at my house and he would get back to me. Finally in March 9 they called me back and told me that they could come the following Monday (3/11) in the afternoon and they would call a half hour before they were going to show up. They never called, just showed up at my door at 10 am. Then I was told that they couldn't really do anything in the 3 hours of tree trimming that I already purchased and it would be between $250-700 extra depending on how much I wanted them to do. I finally decided I would just have them cut the 2 trees above the swing set in our backyard for the additional $250 they originally stated. However, when I went to do this I spoke with someone different (either the owner or a supervisor of some sort) and he stated that it would actually be an additional $400 to trim 2 trees not the $250 the first person told me. Then the person I originally spoke with told me the $250 was just for 1 of the trees above our swing set (why would they quote 1 of the 2 trees above the swing set? Makes no sense but guess they just didn't want to stand by what they originally told me. Which seems like a lot after getting another estimate of $400 to trim my whole yard after they left.) So I told them to just cut what my conejo deal would cover...Which was clearly not much. They "finished" in about an hour and never said anything to me...just packed up and left. I'm still not sure what they actually did on the 1 tree they "trimmed". I can see evidence of 2 branches having been cut...not sure what else. What a waste of $100. read more
