You order up front before taking a seat and there is a good selection of sandwiches for lunch as well as coffee and freshly-baked goods. We missed the window for breakfast but they also serve made-to-order breakfast dishes. My husband and I just wanted a smaller meal for lunch that day, so we settled on the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. While the portion sizes are on the smaller side, they were balanced and filling for what we wanted (as well as very reasonably priced), and we ended our meal with an in-house baked oatmeal raisin cookie. The cookie was huge and packed with oats but still delicious, with the proper texture and not overly sweet. Our sandwiches were simple yet delicious, with fresh ingredients and bread. The clam chowder was the soup of the day and so so good, I love when clam chowder has potatoes with the skin still attached. Our food also arrived pretty quickly, I would say within 10 minutes of ordering. Water is self-serve. We did not get a chance to try their coffee or the quiche that they're known for, but we will return to Sina's for sure and definitely recommend this cute little cafe for anyone looking for a quick, cozy meal in Sutter Creek!

The last time we went we got brunch and sat outside enjoying the summer breeze. They have a pretty good selection of brunch items and at good prices, from avocado toasts to sandwiches and salads. I went with the breakfast bagel sando while my husband went with the panini-grilled breakfast burrito. As far as their drinks are concerned, they have seasonal menus and also serve the usual offerings of cold brew or lattes. I ended up choosing their seasonal blackberry matcha latte with oat milk while my husband went with the lemon cream cold brew. Both drinks were made pretty quickly by the friendly lady staffing the cafe. Was the matcha the best I had? Of course not, as I've had plenty of top tier matcha from south Sac and the bay, but it was smooth and the blackberry flavor was prominent. After waiting for several more minutes, our food was ready, and we eagerly dug in. I loved that our plates were served with freshly seasonal fruit, and that neither my bagel nor my husband's burrito was oily. Both of our selections were solid choices, and we would get them again. I would've liked if I could have chosen my bagel type (perhaps they don't go through enough bagels to warrant giving people choices), but the plain one that came with the dish was still good. Fig Barn Coffee is a convenient place to stop by if you need your coffee fix to or from Sac. We usually just go to Sac for our drink fix, but this one still hits the spot in general, especially with its brunch options.

We handed it to the staff, expecting at least a raised eyebrow, and instead they took it straight to the kitchen, made sure everyone knew, and were incredibly careful about avoiding cross-contact. They treated it with total professionalism, and we really appreciated it. The coffee was fantastic, the food was great, and the customer service was even better. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Meanwhile, the standalone Starbucks is probably still deciding whether to put the folding chair in front of the drive-thru or the front door while someone contemplates whether they should make cold brew or mad dog customers. For "1." It's nice to have a place that remembers the whole point is actually serving customers. Church & Main keeps giving us reasons to come back. Easy five stars.

Indulge In Your Chocolate Addictions…read more SITREP Before heading to the Taste Bar & Restaurant, we wandered to and stopped into this luscious nearby establishment: I was IMMEDIATELY SEIZED by a divine vision of Chocolate Truffles that overcame my sense. But when I came to, I realized I had merely *blinked*, for presenting themselves and populating the refrigerated display case in front of me, were a group of Chocolate Truffles. THE SETUP These aren't your local truffles either: these babies come all the way from Texas, where they know how to be *whip up* into shape, and lasso'd into a golden box corral! They are not INexpensive: $3.50 each - but I am willing to indulge my craving for magnificent, delicious, spiritually-altering, mind-bending chocolate experiences! For me, the box of SIX - that would be $21 according to regular math - was discounted to $18, and so yes, I fell for that psychological marketing ploy. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-pantry-plymouth?select=CpUxJCgn_rTtM5vof_WG4g&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w I broke my limited selections down to: * TWO Dark Raspberries Truffles (I KNOW what I like) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-pantry-plymouth?select=TzgVm9Gb_jWs9PD38iLwmw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w * TWO Espresso Cafe Truffles (I KNOW what I like - these SHOULD be called "The Nipples of Venus" a la AMADEUS) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-pantry-plymouth?select=KyLsm0UhtdEKEbNfxqPX9A&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w * ONE "Big Wigs" (Peanut Butter Truffle, feelin chancy); https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-pantry-plymouth?select=qTRqDKNo1FXVJfl4c6D7WA&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w and, * ONE "Showgirls!" What a quaint little coffee shop in downtown Sutter Creek!…read more We were running some errands the other week and I needed an afternoon pick-me-up. I remembered that Chocolatte was nearby and decided to go support a local business. It's been a hot minute since I've gotten a coffee from them, and I was intrigued by their Valentine's Day menu. Ultimately I went with an iced Cupid's Cherry Kiss, while my husband wanted an affogato with extra shot. The staff were friendly and efficient at making our beverages. While we waited, we took a seat by the window to people watch. My drink was so cute, especially with the sprinkles. They added a lovely texture to a velvety chai. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet even with the sprinkles and cherry white chocolate. As expected, the affogato was strong with the extra shot, but still smooth without being bitter. I need to remember to come back to Chocolatte more often. There's plenty of seating and the vibes are so cozy. Prices are okay, a little high but I'd rather be supporting a local business than Starbucks. They also have various pastries to choose from. We didn't get any this time but they all looked so fresh and good. PS: They also serve Gunther's ice cream!

The next morning, we heard from the locals the Choc-O-Latte that serves good breakfast so we went. It is known for its specialty coffees, lattes, and a wide variety of chocolates and desserts, including truffles, eclairs, and s'mores treats. The cafe offers a cozy, historic atmosphere making it a great spot for a quick treat. The cafe has an outdoor patio, and is dog-friendly as we met one who was popular and friendly with the locals. We ordered almond croissants and lattes and were delicious. Other friend had ice cold chai latte. The servers were young and nice. We don't mind returning to their nice cafe shop if we are in the area.
