IMHO this quaint & cute little donut cafe has the absolute best fritters ! What's even better they have a blueberry fritter which is my absolute favorite . The last we were in Plymouth, CA visiting the bakery I was so excited to get my hands on my fritter & sad panda they were sold out. I checked their website to see if possibly I could do an online order but they are in the process of relocating to down town Plymouth CA . No online orders available but the next best alternative was call that morning & ask the to reserve some blueberry fritters! Surprise !!! We arrived 2 hours later , we were coming in from Reno & attending a wine event at Rancho Victoria winery. Awww! The sweetest sight when you see that cute pink pastry boxed filled with the best blueberry fritters, we did order 2 apple fritters for our friends . The little donut cafe is very clean & the owner & her staff are all so very friendly & kind . We're so very excited that you found a great spot to relocate your Donut cafe . Opened up at a new location and it's even better! Same quality items but with some new additions and a whole new indoor and outdoor seating area, plus in a pretty part of town right by the park. Amazing selection of donuts, pastries, and tasty breakfast sandwiches. This is a small shop on the side of the road. However, the selection and quality inside is perfect and affordable. All of the staff are very friendly and they make all sandwiches fresh and served hot upon ordering. There is a huge selection of individual cold drinks as well as a mini coffee bar. There was possibility of them moving locations, but as of right now, they are staying where they are. If you need to grab a quick bite or you're looking to satisfy that donut craving make sure you give them a try. read more

My wife and I travel outside of Sacramento when we can (nice to get away), and find absolutely perfect eating places you may not know about. Please - it may not be the easiest to find - not on the main drag - but you must find Donut Street Cafe. The pastries are from heaven and the coffee drinks Starbucks would die for. Additionally, the place is like brand new, super clean, and the lovely young ladies are hard working, friendly, and will make your stay worthwhile. This is one of those roadside gems. It has a pretty good selection of pastries, freshly made sandwiches, coffee, refrigerators full of sodas and drinks, fast service, clean, friendly staff, lots of parking and, well, that's about all you need from a roadside quick stop. This place is a staple in Plymouth. There's really not much around so I didn't expect much... boy was I so happily surprised. The staff is so warm and welcoming, the prices are so reasonable and the menu is delicious. I went back 3 times in 3 days! The croissants are so buttery and flakey they melt in your mouth. We tried both the croissant breakfast sandwich and the ham cheese and jalapeño croissant. We tried the LARGER than life bagels and the donuts. The donuts are truly so fresh and delicious. They're light and fluffy. They also fill your donuts to order... pick any donut and they can fill it with cream, lemon or raspberry... so unique and special! Truly a dream. It was great to have a donut place within walking distance from the inn where I stayed for the night. The coffee was fresh but by the time I walked back to my room it was lukewarm. Maybe because the creamer was refrigerated and it was cold outside. I didn't want to order regular donuts so I opted for an apple turnover, raspberry filled fried tortillas and apple filled tortilla. My family owns a local business and Saturdays are our busiest day. I go get sandwiches for the guys. Martha is there to greet me every Saturday. One Saturday I left my wallet and someone actually drove it to my house. Talk about above and beyond service. On a typical Saturday we order 6-8 sandwiches and drinks. Martha and the rest of the staff never balk at the size of the order and it usually is ready in 15-20 minutes. I've never had even one mistake made on any of the sandwiches made for us. Perfect breakfast stop on the way to Kirkwood from the Bay Area (about halfway and past the busy cities). The Apple fritter here is a must try! Best Apple fritter I've ever eaten. Their other donuts are also high quality. They have an interesting fried flour tortilla with raspberry filling. Not better than the Apple fritter but fun to try. Really like this country secret! Out their off Jackson Hwy in Plymouth is the quaint donut shop. Good donuts, odd bagels but good just not traditional bagel. The bagels make great sandwiches which they make there. read more
