Water was leaking into the pantry and living room. I called this company and scheduled a service call. I moved my big screen tv away from the wall the separated the living room and the pantry. Next to the wall in the pantry was my 90 gallon swirl tank water heater. Church came out and condemned the water heater. I paid them to replace it with a smaller less efficient one. The water heater that they condemned cost me 1600.00 the year before. When they moved it outside one of the techs used a claw hammer and beat holes all around the tank . The next day the water leaked in the same place. Turns out the leak was from a pipe in the wall and not the water heater. Their mistake cost me quite a bit of money. read more

Summer, summer time brings on the heat. No time is a better time to find your AC repair buddy. We hired Christian brothers to look at the AC unit for our rental house. Everything went smoothly, from the initial call to the final bill. The service was excellent. The price seem reasonable. They came when they said they would, fixed the problem, and I paid using my credit card over the phone. The itemized bill was emailed to me a couple days later as promised. What I like about Christian Brothers is that they didn't pressure me into replacing all kinds of other parts. It's an old unit so I'm aware that parts will need to be replaced. They got the AC working, my tenants are happy, and I can spend the money saved on new shoes! read more

My water heater suddenly start shrieking one morning this week so I called Church Services to arrange for them to look at it. My neighbors recently used them so I thought they would be an easy selection. Easy selection, maybe--good choice, not at all. The technician showed up and didn't even give me time to tell him what had happened. He asked the age of the neighborhood, then said you need a new water heater. This one is at the end of it's life. That's what I expected, so I asked how much. I knew that the water heater would be about 400.00 and I knew that it should take about an hour and a half or so to install. So imagine my shock when the technician said 1900.00. I gasped and he said "What did you think you would pay?" I explained my logic that it would probably cost about 900.00. He launched in to a long explanation about the fact that it's all about city charges. If I lived outside the City of Austin, he could do it for 400.00 less. I told him my neighbors recently used his company for a much more complicated water heater installation and didn't pay that kind of money. He said that he knew what they paid and they paid more than 1900.00. I told him he could leave a quote but I would have to get other bids. He then charged me 70.00 for the 15 minute service call and refused to relight my pilot light while he was there. He did offer to tell me how much it would cost to relight it. I could go on about how condescending this man was but I won't bore you with those details. He thought that because I was a woman, he could charge a premium price, and it would never enter my pretty little head that I was being ripped off! My neighbors by the way, paid 1300.00 just a couple of months ago. And every other company I've called has quoted approximately 1000.00 for my job with no need for a 70.00 service charge. Sadly, it seems that homegrown Christian Brothers sold their company to a corporation called Church Services; it's not just a new, churchier name. Most of the original people have left, and the business is run differently. It feels more impersonal, and it's definitely more expensive. The tech who came out for our Spring check-up breezed in and out and completely missed the fact that our AC compressor wasn't working. Yep, everything's fine! So when they said they'd send someone back out to recheck it the following week when we actually had to use it and figured out it was broken, I wasn't expecting an additional charge. Wrong. Their service call fee has gone up to $93, by the way. But the real turn-off was the astronomical price we were quoted to replace it, along with the running stream of BS that accompanied the price justification. Great and Powerful Oz, Dude, we see you there behind the curtain. Their jobs are quoted in a lump sum including parts and labor, even when the parts are under warranty (which they were). I had to call several times to try to get the bid broken down, and it still was "fuzzy math" that didn't add up, because there were no actual numbers involved besides the total. And it was a really high total. Our second tech was confident and was so quick that he finished SEVERAL HOURS earlier than the labor bid he quoted us, which was suspect to begin with. You'd think they'd reduce the charge to fit, right? Wrong. On the bright side, our system is working again. But this isn't the same company we started with, and it shows. Good, but no longer great. First of all, they offer great service, very competitive prices, and did good work. I agree with almost everything said in other reviews, so don't be turned off by my 3-star rating. The main reason for the 3 stars was the initial service call. I was told on the phone that the initial service call would be $70 (or thereabouts) regardless of whether I chose to do the work or not. I reluctantly agreed because they told me the $70 would be credited to the final bill if we did the work. The technician who came out was pleasant and thorough, getting up on the roof to check the compressor and looking for every possible repair option to get me up and running again. But when he finished and wrote up a quote, I said I'd think about it. He then handed me a bill for 150 dollars. He told me, for the very first time, that the initial service call fee only covers the first half hour, and the remaining time is billed at $78 an hour. I explained to him that (A) I had never been told about the additional charge, and (B) it made no mathematical sense for the first half-hour to cost almost as much as a full hour of labor. He was unyieldingly insistent, though, so I paid the bill and determined to take it up with someone else. That mess almost cost them my $11,000 contract. In the end, Christian Brothers' quote was the best I got, so despite the rough start I chose them to replace both A/C units in my town home. Adam, the manager or owner, was fantastic to work with, credited the $150 dollar service call to my final bill, and the installation was swift and smooth. A/C works great. So be wary of sneaky technicians, but you can definitely trust them to do a good job. read more

Received a visit next day for a non working ac. After spending all of about 10 minutes looking at the AC the tech declared it dead but could not quote me a replacement. I had to get someone to my house at 7 pm. That led me to call another referred HVAC company which showed up in an hour. Changed a wire and low and behold the dead AC came to life. Beware, these guys are in business to make money. Oh, and I paid $69 for them to give me bad information and not even try to fix anything. read more

Thank God for Christian Bros. My A/C went out about 5pm one evening last summer. I called Christian Brothers but the tech wasn't able to get out until the next morning. We had to spend the night in a 90 degree house, but luckily Christian Bros was there the next morning at 8am. It took the tech about 15 minutes to figure out the problem and about 15 minutes more to fix it. He also showed me an an area on my unti that needed repairing and fixed that for me as well. Prices were fair and the tech was great. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. read more

the time you don't want the furnace to stop working is when it's b*tt a$$ cold... I was able to set up a checkup for my furnace on the same day I called, which really helped my schedule that day. Virgle came out and was really helpful. I had a clicking noise coming from my furnace and he was able to solve that, checked to make sure my hot surface ignitor (HSI) was still good, made some recommendations regarding my dirty (needs to be replaced) filter, water leakage that comes out from the blower during the summer, sealing air leaks, and suggestions for how to make sure the rest of the house can be covered with the unit I currently have installed and to do a spring tune up in spring. All worth the visit for a check up. Professional service and would call them again. read more

As Yelp says 5 stars as good as it gets. In 6 months time had to have 2 units replaced. Had some major problems with the first unit replaced June 2010 and CB came out and diligently worked everything out. As a result choose them on second unit replacement. Turns out there was a defect during manufacturing. Christian Brothers saw the problem and fixed it with zero hassle. Great service, very responsible good work. World be a better place if all companies were as efficient. I would never use anyone else. read more

I have been using Church for several years to maintain my HVAC system, both spring and fall maintenance packages. Scheduling is a breeze and they show up on time. Usually they just do the service, remind me to pour distilled white vinegar in the cleanout, and move on. Which is exactly what they should do. This time I asked about some rattling that has been going on with a few of my vents and Randy the technician knew exactly what to do (simply tighten down the screws connecting the vent cover to the vent box inside). I didn't think it was that simple, but sure enough it solved the problem. read more

Our A/C went out right at bed time last night. Well, we at least now know we can make it through one night in during an Austin summer without A/C. With that said, we didn't want to test a 2nd night. So, 1st thing this morning, I spent a good 30 minutes researching online A/C repair companies in Austin, and none of them came close to Christian Brothers from a ratings standpoint, both in terms of quality and quantity of ratings. This made it an easy choice as to whom to call, but also set the expectations pretty high. To say the least, Christian Brothers delivered. Leland, the A/C repair tech assigned to our job, made it over this afternoon, and within 30 minutes had our A/C working again. Apparently, the little device that acts like the starter in a car but for the A/C had expired, but he had everything he needed to get it fixed. Although the house made it up to 91 degrees today, the temperature is steadily dropping!!! In addition to getting the unit fixed quickly, Leland was very polite and professional. I also felt like the price was fair and affordable. I would recommend Christian Brothers to others, and will use them the next time we need A/C repair help. They do plumbing also, so now I know who I'm calling for plumbing work also. read more

I needed someone to give me an estimate on fixing the furnace in a house I was under contract to buy. Kevin came out and gave me a good analysis on the whole system and quickly figured out the problem with an estimate to repair. He was very friendly knowledgeable. I was also having a problem getting the hot water heaters to come on. Ken (plumber) was also able to quickly trouble shoot the system and get it working right away. Another example of the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Church Services. In addition, they were the only company that was able to get someone (two people) out on short notice. This was very important to me since I was in my option period. My neighbor recommended them to me after they solved a very difficult problem with broken pipes under their foundation. read more

DO NOT USE THEM. Christian Bros has changed their name to Church Services. Should be more like "Ripe you off Services". Had them come out when my air conditioning broke. They sent an inexperienced tech that was on the phone the entire time getting directions how to fix it. Pd over $400. Had them clean and check the entire system. Less than 2 weeks later it went out again. We had their preferred service membership so they came out on the weekend but sill charged us again over $100 just to come out. Part of the issue is the last tech didn't do it right and now the system has more problems that probably could have been avoided if he did his job right. Told us, sorry, but now it's broke and charged me another $800 to fix it again. I'll be cancelling my preferred service and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I had called 4 plumbers about a clogged sink, and 1 never called back, the other 2 couldn't come out for 1-2 days, and one was going to be out that morning, then early afternoon, and finally at 3:30 PM I called Church Services. Church Services was over in a matter of a few hours, and the technician, Daniel Lopez, was great! He explained what the problem was, how he was going to proceed, and went to work. He was so concerned about not tracking any dirt into our house, and stayed around after his work was finished to make sure everything was working properly. Daniel was very friendly and personable. You felt like you had known him for longer than the 1 hour he was at the house. A job well done Church Service! I highly recommend the company and particularly Daniel Lopez!! read more

Professional and friendly. And no pressure sales. I had a great experience today with getting Church Services to send out an AC Technician (Randy) and a Plumber (Bryan) so they could be here to work on a blockage in where the AC line drain meets up with sinks from a bathroom that other plumbers have come to repair every 4-6 weeks. I've done some maintenance with bleach and hot water and even tried some eco-friendly solutions that other plumbers have recommended, but we still had a blockage form. These guys did a more thorough job and worked really well together. They corrected some other minor issues where other contractors and plumbers hadn't done work to a professional standard. They technically could have charged me for both service visits, but they only charged me for the one. Randy shared advice on using Vinegar or Bleach and flushing with plenty (gallon) of water to clean out the line next to the AC units. We have also recently had some issues with the water heater and Bryan gave me a quote with several options and talked me through the options. So we are considering what we will do next but in total, this repair was more thorough than the two previous similar repairs that didn't last for long that cost me slightly more from other providers. read more

Christian Brothers came to my rescue when I got home from vacation to find a completely dead AC. They came out on a Sunday right on time and determined that my AC was beyond repair (which I figured). They worked with me to determine the best replacement option for me then put it in during a 105 degree day. They work with Austin Energy programs and helped me with all of the rebates available. I highly recommend Christian Brothers for their professional service, willingness to help and flexibility in payment options. read more

I was a bit disappointed in my service call from Christian Brothers. My air conditioning wasn't cooling properly, and I did some yelp research to find a company to come out and help me. I settled on Christian Brother's after reading the reviews. I guess I got unlucky. I'll give them two stars, since they did come out they day I called. But, that was about the only positive part of the experience. The technician immediately complained about the amount of time it took to reach my house. Then, after some troubleshooting, he wrote a simple invoice: $450 to fix the system. There was no breakdown of parts/labor, or anything like that. Just a line that said, "$450.00 to replace valve." I paid the $69.00 service charge and decided to just eat it and find another company. The next day, another company came out and detected that my thermostat in the house was actually broken. I wanted to order a nicer thermostat than what the technician had on stock, so he loaned me the one he had, and just asked that when my new one came in that I call him and give this temporary one back! Total bill (including recharging the coolant... $105.00! System has worked fine since then. Sorry Christian Brothers, but this is not the service I was expecting from having read the other reviews. read more

I had an unpleasant experience after hiring Church Services to replace an HVAC system. It all started with their residential consultant who showed up to sell the job. She took the signed contract and was never seen again. There was no follow up visit, nor did she return my calls when I contacted her later because the installation was not done correctly, and the UV Filter was also missing during installation. After a few angry phone calls to their customer service, I finally got a response from one of their managers, and he sent technicians who finally fixed the installation problems. The residential consultant had promised me a $1,000 manufacturers rebate to seal the deal. It has been more then two months and I have not received anything. I have personally visited their office to enquire about it, and it seems like Chuch did not send in the rebate application in the allocated time after the installation. Church has promised me they would take care of the rebate even if the manufacturer does not honor it, but so far after several calls, I have given up. It was their blunder that I missed out on a rebate check that would have really helped. read more

They'll take you to the cleaners! I'd give them zero stars if I could. These guys sold me over $7,000 of equipment that I didn't need. They said one of my outdoor units had to be replaced, and I fell for it. Then they had the nerve to tell me my second outdoor unit had to be replaced. I called another company for a second opinion. The other company diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes and recommended a $100 repair. My AC has been working flawlessly all summer. Run, don't walk away from these guys! read more

The igniter or thermal coupler went out on my water heater while I was out of town, like most of us I don't have the time to mess with the water heater. Unlike a lot of us I do have a mechanical background. Nick arrived and with out even touching the heater, he started with a laundry list of charges and the upsell, did I mention I've been in sales? I'm pretty good at it too unfortunately and can spot an upsell a mile away. We were told we would need a new water heater, that even though the thermal coupler could be replaced it would be just as expensive and require a thermal sensor and expansion tank. Interesting, when I told him the expansion tank was only required for closed systems, he immediately said it was city of Austin Code, we live in the country and luckily outside of the COA's reach. I should him the mfg. manual, which begged to differ. I have replaced many thermal couplers and igniters myself, in ovens, dryer's etc. I am not a plumber I know there are good guys out there, I should have called around first and asked for specific work to be done. I paid the $69 service trip fee and sent him on his way. It was worth the cost to post this story... A how to video can be found on YouTube, Google your heater and you can find your part number? Bryan came out this morning to clear a blocked kitchen drain line that a previous plumber was unable to unblock. He called to see if he could come earlier than scheduled (a plus for me!) and he was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. 25 minutes later the line was no longer stopped up and the price was very reasonable, exactly what I had been quoted on the phone. It is Saturday morning with sub-freezing temperatures (literally) and our heat is out. This first call we made was never returned. My husband called and was told Church's services were booked. I called back to ask if we could be squeezed in due to the sub freezing temperatures. Their answer was still no. I am totally disgusted that this company, who we have paid out a significant amount of money over the years, is not more loyal to it's customers in this type of inclement weather. I used Church Services for repairs at my home for years and was satisfied. This very dissatisfied rating is for their sales representatives. My home flooded in Harvey. I wanted to turn on my furnace in the winter -- the home is remediated but not repaired or lived in yet -- but it got very cold this winter. I paid them to come and review the systems. They stated the furnace was dangerous and also stated the AC units needed replacement since no parts would be under warranty going forward since they had all been under water. So far, so good. They send out their sales guy to give me an estimate. He goes over everything and gives me a hand written estimate which is hard to read. Some months later I decide to address this -- I need to send the information to my insurance company for reimbursement. They cannot read the estimate - and neither can I. I ask for a"detailed" estimate -- just the systems, size, make and cost. After several days I get a typed estimate. It states it includes a "free" furnace. Its more than the original original estimate, and list of component costs does not equal the total they list. Also the address listed on the note is not my address - its someone else's. I call back several times and ask for a correction -- the story is always that it is coming and it never does. I call back and ask for someone else to give me an estimate. Someone else calls back and I explain the situation and they stated they will take care of it. Its a week or later later...and nothing. I called John Moore, someone came out and gave me several estimates based on multiple systems which were immediately mailed to inbox. The sale on my house fell through, so I will be rebuilding and replacing these systems after reimbursement through insurance-- but not through Church Services read more

This company is probably one to avoid. They quoted me 1600.00 to replace an old gas connection. I found another company to do it for less than 200.00 and it was done right. As far as the knowledge of their techs. It's excellent. But here's my problem with this company. "GREED"!!! I needed a new Heater Control Board". I found out that their cost for one is $100.00 They quoted me a price to install a new one of $393.00!!! That's a 300 percent profit for them. You would think in todays economy they wouldnt be so greedy. I found a guy on craigslist to do the job for $150.00 He even showed me his receipt for the the new control board and it was only $100.00 So he installed it and it worked fine and he only made a $50.00 profit. (I tipped him.) So the moral of the story is: Look on craigslist for independent contractors. Not these yellow pages companys that make a 300 percent profit and use their overhead as an excuse to rip off their customers. That's the problem with our economy. Everybody is just too damn greedy and want something for nothing. So shop around before you decide on someone. Also don't expect companys that advertise 24 hr service to actually come out after hours. I couldn't find anyone that advertised this to actually come out....My message to Christian Brothers. "Start charging honest prices and you will make more money in the long run. Do you really need to make a 300 percent profit???? "I got a reply from a Jeff on my post. He basically stated that running a business has a lot of overhead. So I guess in his mind since he has overhead it's OK to rip people off. Charge $400 for a job when the part cost $100...Here's a news flash for you Jeff. If you charge honest prices you will actually make more money. One reason you see so many five-star ratings for Christian Brothers: they offer $100 if you give them a five-star review. It was almost enough for my wife and I to swallow our pride and fake a glowing review. We just couldn't bring ourselves to do it, though. Although Adam is friendly and easy to work with, and we've liked most of the technicians, we had several problems with Christian Brothers. The two technicians who initially replaced our entire HVAC system (including ducts) left our house a disaster-area, with grease-smudged walls and insulation all over our beds and furniture. To be fair, when we came back and saw that, and called Adam, he sent the same guys out to apologize and clean up (and do the touch-up painting). They're also doing free semi-annual check-ups for us, which is nice. I'd give them 3 stars but for the sneakiness of the paid five-star ratings. It just doesn't feel right, even for $100. read more

Stay away! John the tech is so full of it , I couldn't believe the things he was saying were not a prank. Claims he had 24 years exp, blah blah! Before he even started the work, he was up selling. I had a grinder pump issue, he was here all of 30 mins and decided I needed to replace the pump and all plumbing, his estimate was $3800. Guys you should see this pencil whipped invoice. That basically was a cya! Had to call them to to cancel the free $69 service fee check. Stay away!!! With in the hour I had a local plumber (James dooder) come out and he had it fixed for $111. Said the pump was fine. read more

SPOILER ALERT: Any dripping faucet ($350). Anything to do with kitchen sink piping ($850). 100% awful experience. Go with a place that provides free estimates. Their prices are outrageous and not competitive. Received a $1,200 estimate which I later fixed myself for under $40. They do not provide estimates over the phone even though they use flat-rate pricing. MY STORY: I already had new counter-tops installed along with a new sink. My existing kitchen pipes were still intact, just needed to be connected to my new sink. No new parts required. After paying a mandatory $69 fee for the visit, they informed me it would cost $850 to simply connect the existing pipes to my new sink that was already mounted. I ASKED: How could it cost so much.... did it require any new parts? How long would it take? Common questions and the person refused to give me a straight answer. New parts required? Oh, I'm not sure. How long will it take? Not sure, maybe 3 hours. When I did the math and said that they charge almost $300/hr for basic services, he told me "well we are a big company" - as if that benefits me at all. Frustrated at the outrageously high estimate - knowing I was on the hook for $69 - I asked for the dripping faucet estimate. About 60 seconds later he comes back and tells me it will be $350. Stunned, I pulled up standard pricing for this type of repair in my area (Texas) and realized the average price is $123 and the high is $147. I'm not a fool so I ponied up the $69 and told them they were simply taking advantage of me, goodbye. I then watched a 4 minute video on YouTube showing how to connect the kitchen pipes. After a quick visit to Lowes ($15), and 30 minutes installing, I completed the job. That is likely the reason he wouldn't answer why it cost so much... because it shouldn't! There is no valid reason it should cost half that much. This is the only negative review I've ever written. I am not a hater, I really do appreciate quality and don't mind paying for it. But when you are being taken by a company called Church Services, something motivates you to inform others to think twice before doing business with a company that doesn't provide FREE ESTIMATES. I called and complained and was told that they would do the kitchen sink for $525. At that point I just wanted a refund but it shows how wildly high their original estimate was. They told me they could possibly give me a refund but needed to call me back. STILL WAITING for that returned phone call. I am now going to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Unethical doesn't begin to describe this company. One of my tenants called to inform me that their washing machine drain line was clogged. I flipped through yelp and selected Church Services because they said they could come out the following Monday (called in on Friday) and they offered a discount. Fortunately, my tenant was off from work that day and agreed to stay at home to let the serviceman in. After calling to ask if it was alright if he came early, he showed up late, tracked mud into the house, and left the front door open, allowing their cat to escape. According to the tenant he tried to snake the drain line once and got a little dirt. He then sat on their couch and started to panic, asking the tenant how we was suppose to tell me the news. Shortly thereafter I received a text message with a picture of his tool with some lint on the end. I called him and requested that he try to snake it again but he refused saying that he wouldn't be able to get through what was there. He informed me that what he found meant that the drain line had somehow collapsed beneath the house, which he said was typical of that age home, and that his company would of course be willing to dig under the house and fix it for a small fee. He then forwarded me to his manager who prepared a $5800 quote for digging under the foundation and repairing the damaged drain line. Now, I'm all for getting things done and doing it right but just to be safe I called out another company to verify the diagnosis. To my surprise, the company was able to clear the drain in the first attempt and warranty it for 6 full months. 5 months later the drain hasn't had a single issue. When I contacted Christian Brothers/Church Services (same company) and informed them of my situation they refused to come down on their price tag, saying that I was trying to "get something for nothing". I informed them that I was getting nothing and paying an exorbitant amount. Finally, the manager offered to lower the charge to $100. I agreed and thought everything was done. Simply never work with them again and my woes were over with. Today, 5 months later, I checked my credit card account and noticed a $204 charge from Church Services. Low and behold, when I call them they have no clue where the charge came from and no record of me ever speaking to the manager. Take your business elsewhere. They're not worth the gray hair. read more

These people tried to prey on my parents. A price was quoted to install a toilet; 130$. The person showed up and immediately started adding charges, saying the valve would have to be replace, etc., etc. My parents refused and asked what it would be to just install the toilet and he priced that at $269. They told him his services would not be needed. This jerk had the audacity to tell them he would bill them for a trip charge. Good luck with that. Stay away, very far away. These are NOT good nor honest people. Mom had to leave the hospital where Dad is to keep the appointment. Oh, Lowes is coming out to install; $140. read more

I had a hose bib break on a Sunday and called to have it fixed. Church was very responsive and told me up front there would be $144 charge for Sunday service. The repair man came promptly. But, it cost $250 to replace the bib and it took less than an hour.. I asked why it was so expensive and he said they charge $200 an hour or a flat rate of $250 to replace a hose bib. And, I still have to do the cement work where he chipped it out to get to the pipe. Angie's List says this should have cost about $125 (more or less) plus the price for the part (not much). read more

This company apparently over charge customers! I actually wanted to call Davis Service company. Unfortunately, it was bought by Christian Brothers. It was an A/C problem at my rental house. I was told somehow the pipe was blocked and it would cost me $160 to unblock it. Unbelieving it would cost that much, I questioned the fix cannot be that complicate, why this much? The answer - it is what it is. No explanation on why! I was then offered a check-up service, for $129, which not only covers the fix, but also includes other check-up work. Best part, it is a 2-trip service, summer and fall. You can now imagine how much they over charge you! 4 months later, I still didn't receive the receipt though my credit card was charged and I requested it twice. read more

Called Church Services today (Saturday) when my thermostat stopped working. I was worried my family and I would spend the weekend freezing with no heater but they sent a technician out within a few hours on a Saturday for no upcharge. The technician, Kevin Bosch, was awesome. Super friendly and professional, he walked me through his diagnosis step-by-step. After the more obvious potential causes didn't pan out (tripped breaker, blown fuses, etc.); Kevin found a blown transformer which he explained is not common on a 2.5 year system. He installed a new transformer in no time and is working with our manufacturer to get the cost covered under warranty. Kevin did a great job. I will be requesting him by name next time I need help with my A/C system. read more

Company charges 69 diagnostic fee, but it's waived for any work. The tech came out, ran around and everytime I asked for estimates on the work, he sort of mumbled numbers here and there and was never really clear. Of course, he recommended a completely new unit instead of actually diagnosing the problem as a rusted drain pan. When I asked about just fixing that, he made it sound like getting a new drain pan would require and act of god and the labor would be so significant, I might as well just replace the unit. At the end, he asks for $170 and claims that's the charge for 'clearing the line' (something that he did in 5 minutes while he was diagnosing the issue). The tech never actually stated he was going to do work above and beyond the diagnosis before doing it. The tech was just shady and untrustworthy and I'll never be using this company again. read more
