First time having Church's chicken despite living in the area for quite a while. Husband brought chicken home and it was still hot. Breast was moist and could tell it was fresh. Jalapeño bombers was good per husband. Fries were ok. Biscuits were tasty too. I'll definitely try again when I have a hankering for fried chicken. read more

Should of went with my fellow yelpers reviews the fries were good order 2 piece checking combo and chicken strip combo my chicken was chicken jerky you know when you get fried chicken and the juice just drips out and is messy not in this case it was dry and the crispy skin was dry and tasted like oil like it had been re-fried and stick under the heat lamp for a few days As far as the strips they were dry and nasty dead not sure if it was a strip or a rats tail the Mac and cheese actually stood by itself and tasted as bad as it looked that was a waste of my money not to mention Saba who took our order was rising is as if there was a big line which it was totally empty and now I know why. Stopped by Church's in a gas station. Surprisingly, the chicken tenders were hot and delicious, and the fries were on point. But those mini churros? Should've used that $3 for more gas. Service was decent, given the location. read more

While on a road trip, my husband and I decided to find a place to eat and we chose this Church's chicken despite the stars. The food looked delicious and was tasty. The biscuits were buttery and shimmering. The mash potatoes need a bit more gravy for our taste yet is delicious. The Mac n cheese was cheesy and crispy. It was delicious. The speakers for drive thru should be fixed, yet the man who greeted us was gentle, kind, and generous. We got lots of honey, sauce, and ranch for the okra, which was also delicious. Highly recommended Church's considering the San Bernardino Church's was comparably as good. read more

My lady and I were traveling back to San Diego from The High Sierras and being we love fried chicken found this place on yelp right off the 10 Freeway. Glad we did. This place is not the cleanest place we've ever been to and it's inside of a gas station minimart. 1 Star. The One and only bathroom for the gas station and restaurants is quite disgusting. 0 Stars. Anyway Service was lacking any enthusiasm with my order. 2 1/2 Stars. The Chicken now was a whole other story. I ordered a 20 pce leg & thigh box of Original chicken only to go. Worst customer service, this place should have been shut down long ago. You can't even hear them at the drive thru first because of the freeway traffic and second from their old crappy speaker. The food had been sitting under heat lamps for quite some time. There are no workers working on the construction at this location even thought it is completely blocked off. The chicken was soggy and the Cole slaw was a bit brown , really it probably sat in the fridge all weekend long g. I won't return to this location. Yuck! read more

Passing by around 8PM and decided to grab food for my family here. They were out of everything. I asked for Mack and cheese they were out offered me a replacement.... Cool. I walked out and realized they shorted me another side so I went back in. Mashed potatoes they had but no grave, they offered me fries instead. The guys that work here were rude and lazy. I asked how long it would take for gravy they said 5 minutes. They asked oh, you want to wait?!? They had little To no food prepared and still an hour and a half of service left. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I saw bad reviews but my god was this place terrible. I ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwhiches (which they didn't have) so settled for a barbecue and regular sandwich. The chicken was cold, black color on the edges of the chick and from burnt marks but I think from age. The buns felt old and stale as well. Food was absolutely disgusting I could not eat it. I had passed this many times over the years and I finally went in to try it. I love Church's Chicken, but this place probably isn't the best place to get it. I ordered the 3 piece and one of the 3 pieces tasted like it had been drying out under the heat lamp all day. The other two were juicy and good. The cole slaw was fine, and the mac and cheese rivaled Chick fil a. The jalapeno poppers (forgot what they called them) were good, but the ranch is so cheap tasting that it ruined the experience. The crew got the order right, but didn't put any sauce in the bag so I had to park, and get out to grab the ranch which honestly wasn't worth the effort. I would have rated this higher but about 5 minutes after finishing it felt like there was a gross film on the inside of my entire mouth. Bummer, but if you are dying, this place will work. read more

I am leaving my review to relieve some of my frustration with Banning Churches chicken. I recently ordered three Tuesday only specials(2pc) for $1.99. I got home to find that the chicken was definitely refried from the day before, the skin was ragged and weird looking. It had a taste that implied the oil needed to be changed desperately. This joint used to be hit and miss, and now it's just plain MISS! From now on I will drive to the Moreno Valley location and spend more on gas to avoid more frustration. read more

When we arrived in the parking lot, it was empty, there were no cars in the drive-thru. We placed our order, drove up to the window. The Chicken was the color of chocolate, very over cooked, and it stunk. Clearly the fryer oil had not been changed recently, the chicken was extremely dry. The mashed potatoes had been pre prepared and left under a heat lamp. Clearly the word is out at this restaurant as during a dinner rush I would expect the line at the drivethru to be several cars, yet here there were none. I'm done with fried chicken that I don't fry myself. My first ever visit to a Church's and the experience was less than I had hoped for. I order a simple 2 piece (dark meat) and a biscuit meal. Drumstick and thigh along with a sweet buttermilk biscuit seemed harmless enough. I was running behind on some appointments but absolutely starving. Many of my friends say that Church's is the best fried chicken chain, which really isn't saying much. This particular establishment shares space with a gas station. While it is conveniently located just seconds off the 10, I advise to keep on driving if you're looking for a quick meal fix. Actually, better yet, go into the gas station and get yourself some trail mix and a Vitamin Water. That's what I wished I had done. The Banning Church's is the best fried chicken I have eaten and the best Church's I've visited. You would not think so since it is more of a frwy exit for weary travelers. I have eaten here 3 times. The last 2 times in the last year were the best. Not only because of the freshly made chicken but also because of the highly attentive counter girls. They care about giving you exactly what you want.... drumstick vs. thigh for example. On one occasion the counter girl asked if we could wait a few minutes because she did not like how the chicken looked and said I will only serve chicken to customers that I would also eat.
