We had a great experience at this Church's Chicken location. The manager/team members who helped me was incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. Church's Chicken in Lufkin Texas customer service sucks I ordered it three two piece three separate orders for three separate people and you want to put the whole order in one big box and today's date of being conscious towards diseases like covid people don't want other people hands in their boxes and if you can't afford to give separate boxes then don't have two pieces I will never ever go to that establishment again! On Monday, November 6, 2023, I went to Church's Chicken in Lufkin, Texas and ordered three 2-piece chicken boxes. I wanted individual boxes, that's why I requested 3. The worker quoted me a price that wasn't on the billboard, and proceeded to question what I was saying. Therefore, I informed her that they were doing false advertising, as the outside said $2+. When she bought my order to the window, it was all in one big box. I told her that wasn't what I had ordered, as I wanted individual boxes. She proceeded to tell me that it was all in the box, which included rolls and peppers (not what I ordered). It was obvious that she wanted to argue, (or have the last word). I stopped frequenting this establishment once before, due to issues similar to this. However, this is the first time that a worker wanted to argue. The food isn't that good, as over half the time the chicken isn't done. Once again, I will not return, and will make my friends/family aware of this experience. read more

If I could give this place less stars I would. I had the strangest experience here the other day. I tried to walk in to purchase chicken and was told I could only use the drive thru. Which didn't seem strange to me until a family walked in right after me and was promptly let in. So I proceed to go through the drive thru only to be met by a man in a black hoodie and ski mask that said very few words and acted like I was a hinderance. Very poor food and service. If I could rate it a zero I would. Twice they have done the same thing. First time the cashier was rude and cussing. This time the cashier didn't get anything right! It clearly states 15 tenders with 2 sides and 6 biscuits for $21.99. I was charged $24 plus because the okra was a supreme size. They called a 3/4 bag of mushed okra supreme?!?? Then I was charged $2.69 for a two piece dark that I didn't order! Again Tuesday special says 2 piece dark .99 so IF I had ordered that it would have been wrong. I love Church's Chicken, BUT, this store needs someone that knows how to manage a business. I went in around 4:30, the Drive thru had a long line so I went inside. I found the end of the line, I was #5 in line waiting to order. There were 3 sitting down waiting on their order. I saw 2 ladies working, frying chicken. There were several people moving around joking and talking. I guess it was shift change as people were coming into the front and then back on the floor. I assume they were having a meeting in the back as some were going in and out of there. The Drive-thru appeared to be working albeit slowly. The chicken racks had plenty of chicken so not sure why the long wait other than it was very disorganized. Great chicken but bad management makes people go to other places. I did. read more

This place is so ridiculous.. I sat in drive-through for about 10 minutes no one ever came on the speaker. When I drove to the window for black ladies were just standing around one slowly came to the window and ask if I needed any help? When I ask if the speakers were not working she told me that they were not. I suggested that they put a sign to let the customers know that... We are needless to say that went right over her head.. I asked for the 10 tenders for $10 she told me that they didn't have anything like that.. As I was looking at the sign in the window.... Once she confirmed with( I'm assuming) someone that was the manager.. she said yes... I see another employee take some tenders out of a box and put them back in the fryer.. I ask if I could have fresh tenders... And not the ones that a previous customer had and they decided to reheat them in the oil.. That seemed to be a problem... I would not recommend this churches chicken to anyone! And whoever the owner is need to clean house I would get rid of everyone! read more

Line wasn't long. Sure took forever though! The lady that was at the window was EATING. Is it just me or does that make your spine shiver too? Opting to return even though they screwed my last order I found that when someone wants extra chicken and only one biscuit, they get two biscuits. How hard is it to get a short order right? Have been there twice and both times, understaffed, long lines, staff seemed to be more interested in plsns for after work than in taking care of customers. Food was tasty but cold ( been under heat lamps). Will go to Popeye's although Church's is closer. read more

I'm sure there are many respectable Churches Chicken establishments out there, however my experience here can be described in one sentence: This place is gross. I really don't know where to begin other than telling you to go to KFC next door. You'll get less attitude and sas from the cashier lady and the quality of food goes from gaslight special to edible food. The outside of the building looks like it is falling apart and that it should be some sort of historical marker. Seriously when is the last time repairs have been made? Inside is no better, in fact it looks like there would be mice running around with dirty feet. If you still feel hungry for some cheap chicken I beg you to refer to my earlier statement. I don't know when they last changed their oil but it may have been around the time of the last supper. I can taste the oil of many many chickens ago. I would not recommend this place to any human much less a starving dog. read more
