Yes, I stopped by Church's Chicken... and yes, I clearly need to stay off TikTok--haha. But seriously, fried chicken is one of those comfort meals that's honestly more cost-effective (and way less messy) to buy than make at home. I almost forgot how good Church's is with those signature pickled jalapeños and that warm, buttery biscuit. Definitely brought back some nostalgia. I'd give it a solid 4 stars! I completely forgot to snap a photo--I devoured everything before I even thought about it. The sides are your traditional fried chicken staples, which hit the spot. Only downside: I ordered 4 legs and got 1 leg and 3 thighs instead. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Bonus tip: If you download the Church's app and order online, they hook you up with a free 2-piece or 3-piece tender. So keep that in mind next time--definitely a nice little perk! read more

This is the only Church's near me in the entire state. I grew up on it. As much as I want to continue going, I have to let go. One time I went, I drove through the drive through, so when I got home, the chicken was overcooked. Okay, it was late and they were really busy so okay, I let it slide and started going inside. Today I was nearby and decided to order. Besides the three piece, I ordered an additional six biscuits because those biscuits are bussin'! However, when she bagged my order, she hadn't dropped a new batch. Okay, cool, I'll wait. She took my order and put it back on the heaters. About 10 minutes later, she took them out. I kinda looked at her because I thought I heard her say 20 minutes but I could have been mistaken. I got home, opened the bag. The chicken was still hot. However the biscuits were raw and gummy. Someone here said they were friendly but understaffed. I agree with that and add undertrained. Every time I go, there's a different staff. I don't think they get the support they desperately need. It's a shame, but I've given up and won't go back. Corporate needs to support them because they won't make it. In fact, I don't think this company will be around much longer, and it's a shame. I haven't been to a Churches Fried Chicken in a long while but in a hurry and wanting some juicy chicken wings I stopped on Buford Hwy which was on my way home. I asked the drive through lady if they had any wings( I didn't see anything with a wing on the plate on the menu). She replied that she hasn't tried to fly lately so she wasn't sure. I was silent so she laughed and said that she was just "messin with me." She said she counted 3 wings so I asked if they were fresh and she assured me that they were. When I got home I had the 3 most pitiful wings I have ever seen. They were dry as a bone, hard as a rock and obviously lacking in any moisture from sitting out under their hot lamps for hours. That cost me $6,99. Not a lot of money but I was lied to. If she said they had really been sitting out for a while I would have ordered a leg and a thigh. Church's chicken is just so good and so, on a random Saturday I checked this location out. There's another location closer to my house, but I didn't like the location and the service there was bad. Even as a fried chicken lover, bad service can still ruin it. So coming to this location hopefully will replace my view and see that it's refreshing, and it was. I usually just get the fried chicken, all dark meat (of course) and spicy or not spicy doesn't really matter to me. Service at this location was great, it was an in and out and hopefully this location won't be closing any time soon! Chicken is juicy, and there's just something different with Church's. I love my Bojangles, but Church's just brings something different. This Church's Chicken is not in the best neighborhood, but the food is great. The chicken was hot. It's crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. They have a special where you get 3 pieces of chicken for $3.00. It's a pretty good deal. The cashier was friendly. I will NEVER go back to this trash bag restaurant... the manager locks the door... so as a customer you have to wait in the hot sun until one of the lazy employees decides to let you in... the service was absolutely horrible...I would tell you the name of the manager that served me... but he had on a regular T-shirt and no name tag. Just moved here and wanted to try the local churches and I must say it was great. The chicken was great , I order the 8pcs mixed spicy and regular. The spicy was very hot and met expectations. I've never been to Church's Chicken and neither did I even think that I'd ever walk into one, to me I expected it to be somewhat like a KFC or a Popeyes. But I was so wrong. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with "Welcome to Church's Chicken where the chicken will change your life!" Which made me laugh. As I walked up to the line I looked around the restaurant and the place is very cleanly and well organized! The cashier was also so kind and the entire staff had a really cute relationship- they seemed to all get along perfectly like little puzzle pieces. I ordered the 3pc spicy, and y'all-- that chicken was FRESH, SPICED ACCORDINGLY and damn delicious! No joke! And the BISCUIT-- THE BISCUIT WAS EVERYTHINGGG! My kids love the chicken, the awesome honey biscuits, and I love the price! The staffs are friendly. I came here as soon as they opened today, and as usual, foods are freshly made and of good quality despite the cheaper price in comparison with the other chicken places specially if you use the coupons that were sent out through mails! Like $2.99 for 2-pc dark meat, a biscuit and mashed potato-gravy. I only got one complaint: (Of course, humans were born to complain, I guess, lol) They tend to forget item/items with your orders. So it'll be best for you to check them before you leave, much more, if you did the drive thru. The last time i went to the drive thru they forgot about my free honey chicken tender and 1 biscuit fee ( free coupons I gave them), and my gravy and mashed potatoes...then today, the forgot the latter again, luckily I checked after parking on one side. I completely love this place! Though I have only done drive-thru, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The price is also great, as I usually only get chicken only without the sides. Their chicken are so juicy and crunchy!!! Went through drive-thru again the day after thanksgiving, saw that they had a holiday special, inquired about it on the car then changed my mind to ordering chicken only. The staff on the telecom was so patient and nice. She informed me that she ran out of spicy white meats and asked if I would wait 15 mins for it, I said I'd just take the non-spicy instead. She then went on to confirm and made sure I was okay with how many non-spicy I was getting and then to tell me where she placed them. Couldn't really ask for a better telecom staff! read more

I was raised on Popeye's spicy. Church's has a spicy chicken that is as delicious as the old Popeye's I have been to this Church's location about 10 times. A girlfriend and I were out reviewing apartment complexes the other day, and decided to stop for some fried chicken. We ended up running through the drive through and was immediately assisted by a very pleasant young woman who assisted us in our 15 piece meal selection. 1st let me say that I feel like it has been forever since I have tasted fried chicken that hot, and freshly cooked. 2nd - The Jalapeno Poppers are freaking amazing. They definitely hit the spot, and between the two of us we didn't leave any for anyone else. 3rd - The biscuits were hot and fresh - this is rare. KFC needs to take some notes on this. 4th - The Coleslaw was incredible. 5th - Now I'm craving it again. Houston, we have a problem....but, this church's shouldn't because, it's definitely one of the better ones around. 6th - Now I'm thinking about those honey butter chicken fingers that I am really looking forward to trying. While eating my chicken found a interesting shape protruding from my chicken wing. Cut the piece off and proceeded to examine it further. It was breaded and fried but looked weird. ***Please Read This*** I've eaten at this location several times and have had some good and bad experiences. Today unfortunately was EXTREMELY bad. My coworker and I had to ask a worker to wash her hands after she came in from the outside and started preparing food...to our disbelief we soon realized she was the manager!!! While waiting for our order to be filled a customer walks in ranting about her order was incorrect. The customer handed the worker the box of chicken and the worker proceeded to attempt placing the chicken back in the rack until we yell what are you doing. We had to literally explain to her that she should either trash or let the customer keep the "opened" chicken and correct the order. I was in total shock that the worker nor the manager knew this or thought they could get by doing it without anyone saying anything. After I received my order I asked where was the health rating posted. The worker told me it was on the back wall in the drive thru area...(which is totally NOT visible to anyone but the workers in the restaurant). I immediately contacted Church's Chicken corporate office and filed a complaint. I will update this post to inform how the situation is resolved. [06/05/16] This is an update to my previous post. Not to my surprise I haven't heard a word from Church's corporate office concerning my complaint 18 days ago. I paid a visit after my first post to see if the inspection score was visibly posted and it was hanging on the wall to the left near the drive thru with a score of 89. It wasn't close enough where I could examine the reason for the score or see the actual date of the inspection. I wouldn't recommend eating at this particular restaurant. read more

I went through the drive thru at church's chicken one evening after work because I wanted a piece of fried chicken breast for dinner to go with some leftover pasta I had at home. I asked for just 1 chicken breast and they gave me a biscuit as well even though I didn't ask for it. I think the total came to $2 and some change. Anyway, both the biscuit and chicken were really good, but I thought the chicken breast was sorta small. I guess that's the only reason I'm subtracting a star. The chicken breast was crispy yummy tasting on the outside and beautiful white delicious meat inside. I'd def go back, for the chicken and to try their sides. Nom nom. read more

I visited Church's today and I am still a fan. The characters that sit out side can be entertaining, while waiting at the slow drive thru but overall this location still is my favorite. The intercom can be wacky sometimes, such that the cashier at the window does not understand what you are saying, but the food today was hot and delicious!!! I would of never thought to eat Church's Chicken! I hate to sound like a snob but I don't care too much for fast food. However, my brother in law brought a whole bunch of food from Church's and I was amazed on how delicious it actually was. The biscuits are AMAZING! They're buttery and moist, lightly glazed on top with some kind of honey butter. The fried chicken was delicious and tender. We had chicken tenders too, I preferred the chicken on the bone while others preferred the chicken tenders so I guess whatever your preference is. The mac and cheese was pretty good. But I have the say the star of the show is the biscuits. Make sure you get extra because you are going to LOVE them! read more

Ever have a craving for certain food at a certain restaurant? You're Yelpers, so I know you have! Well, I've been thinking about Church's spicy fried chicken for several months now, so when Ann and I came south to give my brother his birthday present, I skipped all of the BuHi restaurants to come here. One thing I can count on at lunch time at this place: it will be full of people having loud and interesting conversations. I plopped down in the center of the dining area, pulled the plastic off the spork, arranged my food, took a sip of sweet tea, and laughed to myself as I enjoyed the spicy crunchiness and juiciness while picking up an earful of 'gems'. Today's subject of note was Bishop Eddie Long. A table full of men wearing I.D. badges were loudly having fun with the subject and the rest of the diners. I enjoyed my "Spicier Spicy Chicken" a lot. The reason for four stars is that my craving was so intense and so happily satiated, and the pokey, attitude riddled staff of yore was gone, replaced by happier and much speedier counter help. read more

Went to Church's chicken in Roswell, NM on 12/21/17 returning from picking up one of our dogs who had a tail amputated due a returning tumor on his tail. On way back stopped at their store at the south end to get 14 pieces of chicken for our dinner. Time is about 6:20pm. We were told it would be at least 20 minutes since they did not have enough chicken. What fast food restaurant does not have 14 pieces of chicken ready for sale at 6:20pm. So we left for the north store. When we got to the drive in there were three cars in front of us. The audio system was terrible; could hardly hear the attendant, so it was obvious they do not keep their equipment up to par. Put in our order, so seemed they could hear us OK. Took about 30 minutes to serve the three cars ahead of us; so much for fast food. Then when we got up to the window finally and after taking my credit card and charging it, they have the nerve now to tell us that they do not have the chicken to fulfill our order. THEY COULDN'T HAVE TOLD US THIS WHEN WE ORDERED??? When I very irritatedly told them I wanted my money back they walked away with the receipt and left us hanging. A call to the corporate office has gone ignored. Even though they have a good tasting fried chicken; stay away for this place since they care less about their customers. read more

Before I went on vacation in July, I went through the drive thru and when I arrived home I discovered mashed potatoes (which, by the way have ALWAYS sucked for both Church's and KFC) instead of Mac & Cheese. I called and Sam (the manager) said my next visit would be comped. I told her it might be a while. This past Saturday, I went inside to place my order and be sure they remembered my order would be free per Sam. There were 2 people waiting for their food, 2 more at the counter and 1 more in front of me in line. I waited between 5 and 10 minutes and no orders were taken from anyone waiting inside but I did see one employee taking a drive through order. Even a FREE meal is not worth that kind of wait so I left. I will NOT be back to that store and likely not to ANY of their stores!
