Churon Winery is absolutely stunning! There is something about this place when you drive up the hill and arrive to the winery. The views are absolutely beautiful, and I love the fireplace in the entrance where you check into the hotel. The wine flights of red/white are the perfect pour amounts to let you try a variety of there wines. I recommend trying the charcuterie board as well. This board pairs with the wine so well. Churon is more of a wine bar located in the basement level of the Churon Inn. Parking is the same as the inns. You have to take the stairs down to the tasting room. Follow the signs to the stairs. The wine bar was nice nothing special. Service was good, got us through the tasting at a good fast pace. I bought the Groupon. It came with two souvenir glasses. I think the tastings are $15 for 6 tastings. My favorite wine here was the Tempranillo. read more

The fish tacos are amazing. You wouldn't guess to go to a winery for fish tacos, but if you're in wine country you need to try them. The fish is crunchy, and fresh. The pico de gallo they use is delicious and fresh as well. The corn tortilla seals the deal along with the sauce they use. The view up there is beautiful and of course there's wine! She poured me my wine without even asking me to pay first and not worried that I am walking around with my wine without paying yet. It's nice that they are confident to trust their guest. The vineyard is pretty, I love how they put huge igloo-like loveseats on the patio. Their wines is really good! I love it! They also served lunch/dinner menus which is a plus! Purchased a Groupon for this Winery, and I believe I made a good choice. We picked up the Red and Sweet tastings and both were delicious and refreshing. Also, we ordered the cheese board and jalapeño poppers. Presentation was good and the snacks were fulfilling. The cheese board can definitely feed 2-4 people. The scenery is breathtaking and the grounds are very well kept. They have multiple patio areas so plenty of rooms for groups. Of the 3 wineries (Churon, Oak Mountain & Bel Vino) my husband and I visited over the July 4th weekend, this one wins for the best customer service hands down! Todd, our server, was exceptional. He was friendly and easy to talk to. Our favorite wine was the 2013 Rose of Syrah. It's a must try! This review is long overdue. We stayed at the Inn, which was a good experience and not a part of this review. We visited the winery, where they had wine tasting. Wines were nice, the setting was ok -- bar and a few extra tables. One of the wines we tasted was Estate Ruby Cabernet. We decided to buy a box of six, and that wine happened to be on sale as well. Great deal we thought. It all went South, once we got back home and decided to treat our friends. All wine was spoiled (opened 3 bottles), with strong vinigar taste. There were big bits and pieces floating around. Check out the cork! We were so embarrassed! We spent $100 on spoiled wine that we can't even use for cooking. We emailed the inn (which is the part of the winery) and the BnB we booked our stay with. No reply, nothing! Rooms were nice....., but the wine sale and luck of interested to at least reply to our emails deserves 0 stars. read more

What an amazing weekend thanks to one of the most friendly, caring staff. Don in the tasting room was hands down the best out of all the tasting rooms we visited. He made our experience personal, and gave us wonderful recommendations for other places to visit. The rooms were clean with amazing views. The scenery outside is nice. Inside, it's like a kitschy European 90s feel. Nothing exciting. And it feels stuck in time. Wine: We did a wine-tasting because we were staying on the property. Churon Winery, hmmm, where do I start? It is not the newest or the fanciest winery in town, but the 16 years old 2 story property has some sweet and spices on its own. First of, Temecula is one of my favorite wine countries to visit. Their hotel suites comes with a over sized hot tub where one could relax and splash with a glass of vino. There were a lot of new places popped up between now and my last visit. The air is crisp, the view is softly outlined to the eyes, the people moves slowly, almost like a painting with blue sky and marshmallow clouds in real life. Rooms, they are off decent size, with gas powered fire place, balcony overlooking an eye full of beaut, and a double sinked bathroom with separate shower and tub. All the set up is meant to make one forget there is such thing as stress. Wine tasting, the private hotel guest only sessions starts at 5:30 if I am not mistaken. Don't tell anyone, but the tasting menu is so long, I got way more than a good buzz out of it. Since most of the patrons staying will be joining in on this complimentary experience, many informative, interesting, or intriguing conversations were exchanged. Oh well, what happens in Churon Winery, stays in Churon Winery. Property, the vineyard is simple and elegantly designed, ideal for wedding, anniversary and other celebrations. Wine club, the bottle precious liquid can be shipped 4 times a year to your door. If I recall correctly, club members also enjoys a 50% off room charge for stays. Not a bad deal, if I may say so myself. People, the people work here are very friendly and welcoming, they go over and beyond to make sure guests are pleased and satisfied. Food, oh, did I mention their breakfast? It was yum~ Overall, I found myself pleasantly surprised out here while dying for fresh air in my day to day life. We also got breakfast for free and let me tell you, this isn't like a buffet style breakfast. There is a waiter and the menu is like a regular restaurant. We got the omelet and the cafe croissant. They were so good. Our waiter was Christopher and he was very attentive. He kept refilling our water and coffee. He was also very kind and had a great attitude! Check in was easy as well. The wines here leave much to be desired. If you are coming here on a tour I suggest making this your first stop. Coming after a day of drinking quality wines will make you very disappointed. My bf and I came on a Sunday afternoon for the free wine hour they have for guests. Tried the Zinfandel and White Merlot both were weak so I skipped on to the reds. The Malbec was alright but the Syrrah was the best of the 10 wines we tried. The Chocolate Bliss was terrible, would recommend staying away from that one. OH MY STARS!!!! Where do I begin? ! Hands down, Valerie is awesome!!!! We came for my seesther's 30th birthday (a party of 8), and customer service was amazing. We had reservations at 12:15pm- 5 tastings for $10. We were the only people there so we had Valerie all to ourselves. I'm not a huge drinker, but I will definitely sip on some wine here and there- Moscato to be exact. Ooh their Moscato was so good! I prefer sweet wines over dry wines. However, I was quite surprised that I liked one of the dry white wines, Viognier 2011. Another one of my favorites (that I wish I would have also purchased) was the Gold Nectar, a blend of Chardonnay and Muscat. As mentioned, the tastings were $10 but we ended up paying $5 for the 5 tastings. We were a happy camper. Valerie told us about their wine club which actually had some great benefits (check out their website to view the benfits). To join the club, I just needed to purchase two bottles of wine. In addition to purchasing the wines, I got 20% off. Lovely! So for two bottles (Moscato and Viognier) I paid $27. Both bottles were $20 each. The winery is so breathtaking. They have a restaurant and it is also a bed and breakfast. While we were there, they had live entertainment, a jazz singer. I most certainly will return especially since I get 50% off the rooms as a wine club member. read more

All we received was attitude and unnecessary rudeness from both women. I suggest Churon teach their employees better manners because my children has better manners. My husband and I visited this winery for wine tasting on 10/7/2023 with 2 vouchers we purchased from Groupon. However, when informing the 2 older female bar servers of the vouchers they said that we'd have to pay a mandatory $3.24 per voucher to use them. No where on Churon's nor Groupon's websites is there a $3.24 service fee to use a Groupon voucher. We believe this was a scam by those 2 older ladies and want to make the public aware. We've been to several wineries in Temecula and this was the first time being scammed like that. read more

I made a reservation which I canceled way ahead of time, but I had a lot of trouble getting a refund. I was in the wrong because I had canceled the card. But they refused to take me seriously that their refund was unsuccessful and they had my money. Front desk was straight out lazy; they told me to get my refund from Google, since I found the hotel on Google search. Imagine the level of incompetence! My friends and I came here for my birthday because we purchased a Groupon for 2 wine tastings. However, when we went to the winery to redeem our flights, the woman told us that Churon is not doing wine tastings... so she offered us a chance to get 2 glasses of wine instead of 2 wine tastings. But the problem is a glass of wine is $14, so 2 glasses of wine are $28. I did not purchase $35 Groupon for 2 glasses of wine at a $28 value. THAT MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL. So when my friend told her that Churon should take their Groupon down, she rudely commented "well most people are ok with getting the glasses of wine instead." Like are you serious, lady? You're actually going to not honor your own sale, and then try and spin it around like I'm the one with the issue? But what made the experience extra 1-Star(ish) was when this lady tried to offer us 10% off on a wine bottle purchase for the "inconvenience", but her coworker reprimanded her right in front of us for wanting to administer a discount. My advice to Churon: do not make a sale that you don't intend to honor. read more

This place is excellent. You enter on the top floor. It is also a small hotel which I would love to try. For wine tasting, you go down the stairs on the left. Very cute little store. Plenty of seating inside and 2 outdoor patios you can choose from. We ordered our food and wine flights from the counter in the back and took the number to our table outside. Everything was brought to us and absolutely delicious. My husband tried the sweet flight and I tried the white flight. All wines were amazing and the cheese and meat board was super fresh and beautifully put together. The views were amazing as the winery is on top of a little hill:) Flowers and vines everywhere. Patios were clean and not full of cobwebs or leaves. We found out they were short staffed through over hearing another conversation but honestly you couldn't tell. " Nice Wine Country Bed & Breakfast " My wife and I stayed at the Churon Winery for a 2 day Bed & Breakfast retreat. The stay included a free bottle of wine, wine tastings, and 2 free breakfast. The room was very nice as they have a walk in shower with jacuzzi tub, and an automatic gas fireplace. All of the old antique type furniture is also very nice. At our wine tasting Dani the bartender was very nice to talk with, as she poured our wines for us. Also the Wine Club Manager Doreen Prince came out and talked with us about the wines they had for tasting and the Temecula Wine area. Bought a Groupon deal which was so worth it. Brought my 4 girls there for a birthday outing. Easy to get to and a welcoming entrance. This was a great place to start your winery hopping to go the road. We ordered food to go along with our wine. The cheese boards are the way to go to enjoy the wine. The wine pours were generous and the knowledge they had were informative yet short. We liked that as we wanted to enjoy the wine outside on their patio that overlooks the vineyards. The Churon Winery Inn & Estate is absolutely stunning!!! The drive up is incredibly gorgeous! We were able to find parking easily and were treated at the door by the Inn manager who directed us downstairs towards the winery. Joseph helped us decide what wines to try. My boyfriend enjoyed every wine in the tasting but I found them a bit too acidic for my taste. I am very sensitive to acidic flavors though.
