This place is gorgeous! Went here for lunch, we got there right when they opened so it wasn't crowded at all. We were seated right away and were able to start getting our food! They have a cold food area where you can grab whatever you want. We got there at 11:30am but the hot food like rice, beans and potatoes weren't ready until 12pm which was fine because it was worth the wait! Food was so flavorful, the meats just kept coming and it kept us full quick! They come to your table with tons of different meats for you to try. Staff were very friendly and efficient. My only critic was that when they were slicing the meat for us, some of the juices did spill onto the table and on my pants. I know it was an accident but it did leave the table alittle messy. So 3 of our friends decided to surprise our buddy for his 74th birthday, one who's never experienced the Brazilian Churrasco steakhouse before. I've personally been to four of them around the country, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, huntington station 2x and my first time here in Carle Place. We went for Lunch and the "experience" was only $56 per person including the salad bar. We got about 7 cuts of meat, disappointedly 6 of them were all dry and tough! Only the first spicy steak was decent but then again I got the end fat piece which was very tasty. It's ok, it's only $56 right? No!....of course of few of us had beers, and dessert. Total bill plus tax and tip for four, for LUNCH? $384! Split between 3 people and Birthday Boy not paying ? $128 per person Shooooot! For that money we could have gone to Peter Lugers for Porterhouse and would be guaranteed excellent steak! So while this stand alone establishment with ample parking and no reservations needed for lunch was convenient, the steak was 1 star, service was good and attentive although the guy who brought over the skewers was messy, steak juices, oil, honey from the cheese bread stained every corner of the table cloth on all ends, not glamorous, non apologetic, a 5 star restaurant this is not! And unfortunately took a few stars away from the other servers which were great! Dessert I had the Cheesecake Brûlée, it was great! So an overall rating of 3 stars even with hard to chew steak and an almost $100 per person price for LUNCH!??? can only amount to an overall experience of 2 stars for our visit to this Fogo. We celebrated my son's 16th birthday at Fogo de Chão, and it was the perfect place for a special occasion. A special shoutout to Jenny Melo, affectionately known as "Jenny from Around the Corner." She was warm, welcoming, funny, and made our celebration even more memorable. Our servers, Michelle and Danny, were attentive and efficient, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding. We especially loved the spicy steak, pork belly with honey, sweet plantains, polenta, and the warm pão de queijo. Although the happy hour is by the bar, since the bar was full, we were able to sit at tables by the bar area. Seems there was a healthy number of people there to enjoy the happy hour menu. Yes we were here for the food more than the drinks but I think next time I will have to try a couple of glasses of the $8 South American wines. We also ordered saucy legs, yuca fries and lamb lollipops. In case you were wondering, we did have too much food (but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs) so we brought some left overs home for the daughter. The only complaint I have is that the filet mignon board and lamb lollipops took forever to come out. We ordered the saucy legs after we finished the apps and tacos and that came out before the 2 missing entrees. Honestly there was another couple who were unhappy with their orders so sent them back. The waiters must have given our orders to them as a replacement and forgot to tell the kitchen to fire up another set. We waited a very long time and finally asked at which point they made our order. Four of us went on a Saturday night. Luckily we had a reservation for 6pm because it got packed and was already super busy when we arrived. Lots of parking outside since it's a shared lot. Service was good, they brought new meats regularly and the managers came by to check on us multiple times. One time, I mentioned to my friends I'd love more the cheese and honey, and within 2 minutes someone came by with it. Definitely recommend the candied bacon and picanha. 2/27/26 - Originally "2 star" This was the second visit to this location (Garden City). This go around was pretty rough. I came in with a party of 3. We wanted to sit at the bar. When I came in I spoke to the girls at the front and they said I could walk over. I noticed there were tables and I then asked were they part of the bar area and was told yes by one of the girls wearing black attire at the front. When my party arrived we then proceeded to go to a table after being cleared by one of the girls that said we could be seated. The girl literally said the table just needed to be cleaned off. We started making our way over and we were then approached by a rude person who I assumed was the shift manager. He said that the tables were reserved. We did try to explain that the girl told us we could be seated there. Despite this persons disposition, we asked how can we get a table as he started walking away mid conversation and he then explained seatings rules that were apparently known to him, but not his staff that directed us to sit there. We then went back to the front and I politely inquired even though he was confrontational and asked about the tables and how can one beat seated in the "bar" area. He then asked if I had a reservation and I told him I specifically wanted the bar area. He then said you can book online and I told him there was no way to book the "bar" area through the mobile experience. He said blindly and confidently, yes there is. I literally showed him (Screens attached) and he, said whatever. I then said now that you "see" this, how should we proceed and he then used his tablet to book internally which isn't available in the mobile experience, ofcourse. I know because when I booked my prior rsvp, via the mobile experience it was for the main dining area, not the bar. In fact there isn't any distinction. Just a general booking. Smh~. He was wrong there again, and could have admitted he wasn't familiar with the mobile app experience for an organization he was representing, but no, arrogance and pride prevailed, and kept him from doing so. Ignorance is bliss, I guess. Now that the booking was reserved, finally we could be seated. It's quite a shame, because the food was decent, even our server was great and we tipped graciously, but all this was overshadowed by the shifts manager's lack emotional IQ, I'd say even bordering on pompous, coupled with the lack of greeting staff training. Perhaps this shift manager was going through something that day, but that shouldn't be on display when one is serving the public in hospitality. This could have been solved pretty easily. In all honesty I cannot recommend this place, unless changes are made with customer service experience. I had the distinct pleasure of celebrating my wedding anniversary at Fogo de Chao. The food, as always was sublime. Their Churasqueria is delicious. So many choices are offered that it truly is hard to choose which is my favorite cut. But the baby lamb chops are my favorite. My dear husband can't choose a favorite, the choices offered are all superb is his opinion. The staff were truly caring and welcoming. Had a nice meal here while attending a presentation. The salad bar offered a wonderful variety of fresh vegetables, cheeses, meats, olives, grilled peppers, couscous, beets, potato salad.... I have always pass by this location but never visited until this year. I came once early in the year and then again about a month ago. The first time, I thought it was okay, I was not blown away with the tenderness of the meats. The best was the beef short ribs which was the most tender of all the cuts. Most were dry and either too salty or not salty at all. It was not consistent. The cheesebread that they give for free was actually the highlight both visits. Although my husband wants to go back again for lunch, I'm hesitant because i like having more vegetables to my meal. Not worth it! Gave them another try. We were a party of 7 celebrating a special birthday and our entire experience was extremely disappointing. Meat quality is mediocre at best. Service was horrible. We had to keep asking for food to come out and it was taken as long as long as 20 minutes to get a piece of meat served to us. Asked for lamb chops 5 times and it took them 90 minutes to come out. At that point the meal was over. This is not ok. At some point the servers were just not stopping at our table. First time I did the full dining experience but wasn't really impressed. Food did not have great flavor or a lot of options. I was very disappointed to see many of the more expensive items come around once. My table had a variety of requests so maybe that's what caused the poor experience. My boyfriend eats meat Med rare, I'm pregnant so I needed mine med well, my best friend whose birthday it was wanted it medium and her aunt needed it to be well done. We did not receive a lot of meat in my opinion... which was disappointing because my boyfriend is a big guy and eats a lot. They gave us complimentary dessert, but I have to be honest paying $250 for a birthday dinner that was disappointing and not up to par was very very disappointing. 4 of us had dinner at Fogo de Chao last night. I asked the waiter if I could have the churrasco if I want my meat well done. He assured me that they will bring me well done pieces and if needed I should remind the gauchos. I was brought one cut well done. Every time meat came to our table which was few and far between (was offered lamb countless times, but is a Brazilian steakhouse) the meat had no well done pieces. When I asked for well done they would offer a side piece that looked done, but when sliced was rare. When I asked them to make me a well done piece, which remember my waiter said I could do the gauchos rolled their eyes. Maybe 25% returned. After my party was stuffed I barely had any food. We had to complain to our waiter. He tried to make it right he asked what cuts I would like and he would get it. I asked for two particular cuts after a half hour one came out. Dinner plus dessert and 2 drinks each cost us $500 plus tip. For this price, I expect to get the food prepared to my liking without eye rolls and I don't want to be eating a half an hour to an hour after my companions have finished. I've been to other Brazilian steakhouses before and customer service was much better. The steak, if and when we go it was good. read more

Seems tables at the edges get the picks more than the inner tables. The meat servers always skipped our table. Husband had his card on green yet we kept getting skipped. Moreover, I wrote on reservation it's husbands bday & requested a candle on cake slice or a dessert. Instead, we got the bill AND it was not our bill! I tried to catch our server attention b4 she walked away to ask about the request but she disappeared quickly. I had to walk around resto to find someone who can help. Nice gentleman made sure hubby got to have his cake and eat it too , which btw the Tres Leches was verygood. Rice/bread replenishment very delayed. Like they had to cook rice? It took over 15 min. Meats served were mostly fatty. The couple next to us commented service could be better. Other table behind us complained to the mgr as well. It's midweek on a Wed, not weekend. They seemed understaffed & unprepared to handle the diners. It wasn't very crowded. I saw manager helping by the rotisserie corner. Plenty of empty tables around. Very disappointed. No wonder this location only got 3.5 stars. Thought I'd enjoy again when I took my niece here, who was visiting fr Turkey in Jan. We spoke highly about this place to my husband. Very disappointed for what should hv been an enjoyable bday celebration. read more
