Our server was very friendly, helpful and informative. I ordered the #4 chicken relleno with hatch green chile, steak enchilada with green chile rice, and refried beans. What can I say, everything on this plate was amazing. Have you ever had a steak fajita enchilada? If no, then come try out theirs because it was delicious! We are definitely coming back for some more of it. My boyfriend ordered the #1 which came with 2 enchiladas, 2 chicken flautas, a taco, rice and beans. The chicken flautas were delicious specially dipped in their queso. The cheese and ground beef enchiladas were okay (hard to say after having the steak enchiladas), and the ground beef taco was good too. The green chile rice has more flavor than the mexican rice. The refried beans had a lot of flavor. Thus restaurant is very kid friendly. They serve fries just incase youve got a picky little one like we do. The layout is also nice because it gives a lot of privacy. The prices are resonable considering the amount of food that they serve. Ahhh.. Chuys... The restaurant that could be confused for a garage sale with tacos... From the moment you walk in and see all the walls littered with random items, which i love BTW, to the moment of joy when you realize the "Cadillac" is open with its free nacho bar, it always pleasant. I love all the tattooed servers, with Mohawks and piercings prancing around in the shirts with taco puns on them. The service wasn't the best but it definitely wasn't the worst. Me and a couple of friends decided to eat here after the hour long wait at another restaurant which we ended up ditching. We were seated here in less than 15 minutes which was great! FUNNY STORY! The first time I ate here with the same group of friends the waitress accidentally spilled water on me. Tonight the same thing happened again!!!! Both times they were truly sorry and apologized multiple times. Other than that the waiter tonight was very hospitable, but you can tell that being a waiter was not his passion in life. Now the food is pretty ok. Everything you'd expect from a Mexican chain restaurant, with nothing particularly unique about the menu. The chips and salsa were really good! Especially the salsa! I just love salsa. Anyways, we also had the creamy jalapeño sauce for the chips as well. In my honest opinion it tasted like I was dipping my chips in pure ranch dressing. If you like Elvis, good Tex-Mex and slammin margaritas...you've come to the right place. I spent a long weekend in Dallas recently (most specifically Arlington), and this place came up like a rash (in a good way, lol) when I looked for Tex-Mex on Yelp. I can attest that everything on the menu is good...just know what you are looking for. While my head was telling me to try the Elvis Fried Chicken (don't remember if that's the real name but it's coated in potato chips, fried and served with a hot sauce I think), I had the Chicka Boom Boom enchilada. Oh hello, lover. It. Was. AMAZING. Three days later, and I still drooling over it. It also made me realize that "Tex-Mex" or as we term it "Southwestern" here in NY is not even close! I've never had an enchilada like that before and let me tell you, I am forever ruined on them now and in a good way. My friend ordered a "Big as your head Burrito" - I don't know if they were exactly that big, but he brought home half and it was certainly bigger than a Chipotle burrito for sure. Everyone else at the table had a marvelous experience as well. Now the margaritas. Oh Em GEE. Strong and delicious, exactly the way I like 'em. Now, if you've ever been to a Chili's and had their Presidente Margarita, the Chuy's Texas Martini is essentially the same thing, only STRONGER. I had one, and my husband and I split the last one. Yeah. NOT A GOOD IDEA! I'm glad I wasn't driving that night. When you walk in, go directly to the bar, do not pass the hostess stand, do not look at the newest cheeky assortment of taco-themed t-shirts for sale, go directly to the Nacho Car. This heaven-sent wonder is an actual car trunk filled with fresh amazing Chuy's chips, beans, ground beef, their perfect queso, salsas and other fresh veggies. Oh wait, here's the BEST DAMN PART! It's free with the purchase of an entree. I know, I know, you're thinking "Why would I load up on free amazing nachos and then buy an entree?" Well, because that's the rules. Also, because you can just get your entree to-go! Do I have to do all your thinking for you?! Now to the actual menu- it hardly changes, so feel free to find something new and exciting each time you go! I LOVE the vegetarian option. You get a blue corn tortilla filled with delicious, seasoned vegetables (squashes, tomato, that sort of thing) and cheese and topped with whatever sauce you want. I love the Boom-Boom sauce! With this you also get a cheese Chile Relleno. Chuy's has the only chili rellenos I'll eat. The breading is practically the best type of crispy that exists, even under the weight of sauce, and it's filled with an unimaginable amount of jack cheese. The entree also comes with rice and beans. For dessert I'm usually more full than I can handle, but if I'm feeling particularly generous (to myself) I'll share the Tres Leches cake with a friend (aka me also). Holy crap, it's sweet! SWEEEETTTT but so amazing. And this cake is swimming in delicious milky thick sauce (Tres Leches, or 3 milks, is made with sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream and evaporated milk). They add a fresh, cute little strawberry garnish but who cares when you have the most amazing dessert to grace the earth?!?! The Elvis Chicken with 'Boom Boom' Sauce is spicy goodness. The chips and salsa are fresh and enjoyable for what it is. Chuy's isn't authentic to the Mexican culture but it is certainly a nice spin of several different cuisine influences. The t-shirt wall is pretty 'catchy' and eclectic. They have some yummy drinks too, so check out the bar while you're here. Update on 4/3/2016: Visiting the Arlington location again. Came back for lunch on Black Friday. Wow! Just awesome! I ordered the fajitas for two and about the time it seemed like our order was dragging the server came by and apologized for the delay. She stated the kitchen had to make a fresh batch of fajita meat but it would be out shortly. It was worth the wait. The fajitas were amazing. The freshness was something you could truly taste and we were well impressed. Our server came by again and checked on us and made some recommendations on the different salsas we could try as well. I always forget we have a Chuy's. Not sure why because the food is solid. It may have something to do with when I get my bill. Great Mexican food in Texas should be cheap in my humble opinion, but this isn't. Hence why I always forget about it. Started with queso. It's hot, creamy and has just the right amount of spice. Don't forget to ask for the homemade tortillas. It just isn't right otherwise. I had the soft taco plate and it was fine. Nothing special there. Again I loved the homemade tortillas. Daughter had the kids cheese enchilada and she loved it. Hubs got the Southwestern with the fried egg and it was delicious. When you cut into the egg the yolk just oozes onto the chicken stacked with blue corn tortillas. Definitely the best thing we had. Overall it's a great and crowded place. Hubby and I decided to try out Chuy's on a Tuesday evening, around 9pm. We were immediately greeted by Kaleigh, who explained she wasn't a host but could surely find us a table. We opted for a booth in the bar and luckily, she was our server as well. I explained this was our first visit and she took our drink order, recommending the strawberry and white peach swirl for me. It was AMAZING! Fresh flavor, perfectly frozen and quite tasty - I had three! Hubby ordered a margarita, which he said was good as well. She brought chips and salsa, and I asked for a side of green chile sauce....she asked if that was recommended to us and I said it was. She said she would also bring a side of their jalapeno ranch, which turned out to be a much better choice than mine! We also opted for the queso, which was perfectly creamy and had just the right flavors. For our entrees, hubby had the shrimp chile relleno, which was battered, fried and stuffed with shrimp and cheese. The batter was crunchy and added a different touch to a popular dish. Very good. I ordered the Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas, which were bursting with moist chicken and cheese, covered in a spicy (but not unbearable) sauce with chiles, onions, cilantro and more. Very good with a double-side of green chile rice. When we were finished (with our to-go boxes loaded) we asked for chips and salsa to go, fully expecting to pay for these. Kaleigh returned with a big bag of chips, two tubs of salsa and two tubs of the amazing jalapeno ranch and said that was as much as she could give us without a charge! What great customer service. My wife and I had a great lunch yesterday at Chuy's and in addition to the great Mexican dishes the service was ABSOLUTELY first class. Our service was Pedro and he kept us in beer and cold glasses, cut up cerano pepers and special sauces. It's hard to go to Tex-Mex places because it never delivers the true Mexican flavor I'm looking for. Yes my mom always cooked for us and the standards for Mexican food are very high. I know that I shouldn't judge Tex-mex places since they are not true Mexican food. Well let me tell you this place always delivers. The service is one of the best in the Arlington highlands and if they ever have something wrong they ask no questions- they just make it better. The restaurant is always busy and for good reasons. They keep the place clean, they stay on top of things and on happy hour they have good drinks specials plus a nacho/chips and queso bar that's free if you sit in the bat area. One of my favorite things here is the charro beans. I know weird a Mexican that loves beans. They are spicy and have great flavor. My top pick for this place are the al carbon tacos. Their fajita meat is very tender and not tough like other places. Next time you want good service and great food stop by and try it for yourself. read more

So if you look through my reviews you'll see the food I eat the most is Mexican food. I tend to be a bit finicky about my Mexican food, but Chuys does everything right. From the light and crisp tortilla chips, to the Super fresh and bursting with flavor salsa, this place knows how to please the palate from the jump. There is nothing I dislike on the menu, hover my personal favorite is the ground sirloin burrito with boom boom sauce. I wish I could cover everything with boom boom sauce. ..like literally everything. The world would be a better place if boom boom sauce was readily available. Did I tell yall I love the boom boom sauce? So yeah, Chuys also has a kick ass happy hour which includes cheap booze and a nacho bar which is FREE!!! If you've not been, I suggest you run here. Been coming to chuy's for as long as this location has been here and use to drive to Dallas when there were none near me. Today I was extremely disappointed. We always have ordered a side of grilled onions to go on the mexi Cobb salad but today were not informed that this would be an additional $3. If we had been told prior to ordering then we could have made a decision based off that. Instead we got the surprise when the tab was presented. The manager explained food cost have risen which I understand however the literally 1/2 cup of grilled onions and 1 tiny pepper in a dish was not worth $3. I feel if a restaurant is gonna enact a price change (from FREE to $3) then train your servers to inform the customers of the new changes. A "good" manager should have removed this item today only and said in the future there will be an upcharge, but he did not. We will definitely weigh this when we decide where to eat. We definitely won't be frequenting this place the 2-3 times a month as we use to. read more

Nothing out of the ordinary at this place that you wouldn't get at pretty much any other Mexican restaurant in the local area. I've had lunch here twice this month with clients and the food seemed fresh and well prepared. I have never had such a great dinning experience as I did here on a Sunday."Which is normally very busy for restaurants" the server did great with our table of 4 but what was amazing was how kind and caring the manger Sam was. I have celiac disease and he went above and beyond to make me a fantastic gluten free meal using rotisserie chicken fajitas since the other meat is all soaked in alcohol besides the rotisserie chicken. He knew exactly what was gluten free. Most restaurant mangers have no idea. He even went and cut me up two whole bell peppers so I had something to dip my guacamole in for a appetizer. Sam also cleaned the tortilla grill for my corn tortillas. If you have a gluten allergy you can safely eat here just ask for Sam and he will take good care of you!! Chicka chicka boom boom, will be there be enough room? Not only is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom one of my favorite childhood books, it's also my favorite item on the menu at Chuy's. Their enchiladas are super yummy! Chuy's is a great spot for lunch as they get you in and out quickly. It's also a great spot for happy hour. You can go to the nacho bar, which is in an old car, and get chips, queso, and salsa for free while you sip on their margaritas. Chuy's is great for dinner as well. As I got up to leave the manager (also my waiter) stopped me and told me I hadn't paid my bill and was skipping out. I had already paid this same person and he was the one who is to skip out. Their beef fajita meat has gotten worse over time. The last time I went I ordered a steak burrito and the meat was extremely dry. They have had several special items that were very good but they always disappear from the menu. Why don't they put the good stuff on the permanent menu? My wife and I went in and it was super busy. We had to wait for a table but that was expected considering the amount of people there. But as soon as we're sat the customer service was great and the fajitas were absolutely delicious. Fresh made tortillas? How can you possibly go wrong?! We had an amazing server, Kelsee she hooked a sista up! I know I'm a picky eater but she definately got my order correct with all my modifications~! I loved how they had a Nacho Bar, where you can choose chips, different kind of salsas, queso cheese, beans and beef. It was friday and they were busy so they needed to have it more stocked up, it was a little empty, but non the less our server refilled our chips even at the table with out asking. Yum! I love this place. They were my first introduction to Tex-Mex, and after trying a few other places, it's still my fave. I am a pescetarian now (veggie plus seafood), and I've figured out my perfect combination of items. Bring a friend (or two) and share the "special nachos." They are a platter of chips, slightly thicker to hold the individually loaded array of toppings. They are simply delicious, and each bite has everything you want. Then, have some shrimp and cheese chile rellenos topped with their spicy queso sauce. Holy cow! If you're lucky, it'll be the perfect time of year for spicy peppers and these will knock your socks off. I even think the beans are excellent. They have flavor, instead of just being a typical pasty texture. The rice is fairly bland, but whatevs, you can't win them all! Just stopped by for Chips and Salsa and Tres Leches cake to go. I get all the way to DALLAS from Arlington to find out my Tres Leches tastes JUST LIKE ONIONS. I typically don't order to go but I had eaten dinner at another spot and I just wanted something for a midnight snack. My favorite Tex Mex restaurant of all. Everything is always really consistent and pretty much perfect. Service is always attentive and kind. I highly recommend getting the creamy jalapeño dip before your food. Some of my favorites are the chicken flautas, cheese relleno and lays potato chip crusted chicken breast.
